So much for the theory that stability is the foundation of success. While many were up in arms over the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas, with the Portuguese manager granted a mere eight months of the 2011/12 season before his services were deemed surplus to requirement, the chopping and changing seems to have worked at Stamford Bridge.

Roberto Di Matteo has made an immediate impact since settling in as interim manager earlier last month. Guiding the Blues to the FA Cup Final and upsetting the odds with a Nou Camp draw last Tuesday, the Italian is now afforded the chance of two lots of silverware, boosting his chances of landing the job on a permanent basis. With a couple of home ties against QPR and Newcastle this Gameweek, many Fantasy managers are eying up Chelsea’s Fantasy assets but, with rest and rotation set to kick in, picking the right choice is proving to be a tricky task.

Step forward Fernando Torres. A look at Di Matteo’s recent selection policy suggests it’s Didier Drogba who is likely to be tasked with leading the line in the cup competitions and, with three starts in the last four Gameweeks, the Spaniard looks more inclined to be handed game time in the league. Priced at 9.8 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Torres has returned a respectable 5.25 points per game over the last four matches, with a goal, three assists and a bonus point accrued.

Although QPR have upset the form book with wins over the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool in recent weeks, all these results have come at Loftus Road – Mark Hughes’ outfit have lost their last six on the road, in comparison. While Newcastle’s defence have been returning the points with a recent regularity, it’s worth noting that most of their clean sheets have come at the Sports Direct Arena – they’ve kept out their opponents only twice in the last seven road trips.

Let’s be honest – El Nino has hardly set the league alight since moving to the Bridge but, as his equaliser at Barcelona highlighted, he’s still more than capable of finding the net and seems to have increased in confidence under Di Matteo’s guidance. It’s a risk, clearly – there’s every chance he could fail to fire and you could be left kicking yourself for snapping up his services – but, with an ownership of just 2.9% and games against Liverpool and Blackburn to see out the season, it’s one that could reap reward for those Fantasy managers scouring the market for a mini-league gamble.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

For those of us still resisting the urge to take a 4 point hit Tevez to Jelly..... what chance of Mancini making one of his hilarious decisions to bench Tevez and play Balo?

This is enough though to at least create a worry. If it wasn't a DGW then you would let it pass, but knowing the potential loss is worrying.
I recall Mancini saying something 2/3 weeks ago re Balo definately playing in the Utd game, which was on FFS site at time. Since then however Tevez has performed very well. Do you think that the mail article is simply a rehash of what he said a few weeks ago (in which case I would say Tevez is safe) or are these comments made this week (in which case there is a risk)? It seems from the article that this is an interview he gave this week (i.e. I will decide on Sunday).

The way I look at it, Tevez' next two games are Man U (h) and Newcastle (a). On average I would expect only 3 goals for Man City, 4 as above average.
In that time Everton have Fulham(h), Stoke(a) and Wolves(a). Everton have scored 4 goals in their last two games including at Old Trafford, so I would expect 6 or 7 goals for Everton in those 3 games, so I would expect Jelavic to score twice as many goals as Tevez, although Tevez is more likely for an assist.

Not a hope in hells chance balo will start. Tevez/aguero have struck up a decent partnership and mancini will know tevez will be out to haunt his old club.

The other tipping point is that Tevez will not play for City again this season if Utd win on Monday - meaning transfer would be required next week anyway. I have held off from doing this because I fancy City to win and Tevez to be a big hitter this weekend... but risk of Mancini madness and it being his last game of the season is forcing a rethink perhaps.
Even if he does start then you would imagine (given Mancinis comments) that Balo has a part to play which would generally suggest 60/70 mins for Tevez.
Really don't want to take the hit, but this is worrying.

I own Aguero, but I’m thinking (often my first mistake)… City have QPR at home on the final day of the season – surely the odds are that City won’t have anything to play for and QPR will?

Now would this make Aguero a weaker pick than normal due to that, or more, due to QPR attacking and leaving more space? Or if the title has been decided, could Aguero even be benched?

We won't know the answer till that until after Monday... Conceivably city could be defending a goal-difference only lead... Other factor is the golden boot, RVP on 27, Pig on 26, Aguero on 22... Assuming that tightens up, he might still have everything to play for...

Adebayor and Saha could easily start this weekend. If you have Jelavic I think he is enough Everton attacking cover, whereas Spurs could easily go bonkers. Those fixtures are too good to not invest in imo.

Certainly a good option if he plays behind Jelavic. But if Cahill starts Fellaini will be pulled back and not create as many chances.

    RMT:

    Mignolet*
    Williams*Shawcross*Walker
    Sess*Siggy*Pienaar*VDV*(C)
    Torres*Jelavic*P Cisse*

    (De Gea, Sagna, McLean, Kelly)

Took a gigantic 16 point hit but had badly prepared and need to go all out to catch up!!

    VDV or Torres Captain??

        Okay:

        A) Depends who he took out.
        B) Clean sheets?
        C) At least 2 goals?!?
        D) Ignore Access.

Nice team but what are the asterisks for?

VDV captain for me. (Kit is captaining Bale FYI, he also checks your team quite often so change your captain as late as possible 😉 )

I wonder why he stopped being a goal threat when he came to Spurs.

Cheers, wouldn't play him this week anyway but I'm looking for a defender to play in GW37 - he fits the bill if he can get to fitness.

    Jelly (IN) - RVP (OUT)

Worth 4 points and 0.7m loss (assuming I bring RVP in the week later)?

I'm 63 points ahead in my mini league.
