Two games left and level on points with City, United’s attempts to retain their Premier League trophy could well be scuppered by goal difference now. Currently eight goals behind their rivals, it’s perhaps a tall order to haul in such a superior margin but with Swansea rolling up to Old Trafford this Sunday, it’s a fair assumption that Sir Alex Ferguson’s side will go on the attack in their final home game of the campaign.

Even if City drop points at Newcastle earlier in the day, United are unlikely to play it cagey. A final day trip to Sunderland is hardly the easiest of tasks – the Black Cats have tasted defeat just once at the Stadium of Light since Martin O’Neill’s arrival and have returned three clean sheets in the last five in front of their home fans. Three points, and plenty of goals, will be a must for Ferguson this weekend.

Swansea’s recent away form will afford United plenty confidence. The Welsh side have conceded three goals in two of their last three on the road and, with Brendan Rodgers trialling a 3-4-3 last weekend, shipped four at home to relegated Wolves. The new system is likely to be ditched, with a 4-3-3 offering a little more solidity but, with the Red Devils desperate for inspiration after Monday night’s limp display at the Etihad, Nani could well be the spark United need.

A look at his recent form shows that, prior to Monday’s game, Nani had produced attacking returns in four of his last five matches. Scoring against Villa and Everton in his previous two, the 9.9 priced midfielder had also provided his Fantasy owners with four assists and four bonus points over those featured fixtures, despite coming off the bench in two of those appearances. Antonio Valencia, on the other hand, has a single assist in his last five, while Ashley Young has a pair of assists in his last five – both from highly debatable penalty decisions after theatrical dives against QPR and Villa. With both players appearing from the subs bench on Monday, Nani appears to have been promoted up the pecking order and his start looks the most secure.

The Portuguese winger was hardly helped by Monday’s change of formation. Shifted to the right, with Ryan Giggs handed a role on the left as United lined up in a 4-5-1, Nani returned no more than two Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points but Ferguson will surely revert to 4-4-2 on Sunday once again. With eight goals to his name already – compared to Valencia and Young’s combined tally of nine – last season’s top scoring FPL player will need to step up this weekend and, if goals are to be on the agenda, he’s more than likely to play a significant part.

What to do this week. I want rooney and moses but who should i get rid of. Not really a fan of getting rid of any forward
    Vorm, Krul
    Evans, Verm, Hibbert, Bardsley, Terry
    Valencia, Siggy, McClean, Vdv, Bale
    Ade, Rvp, Jelavic

I have 1ft and 5.8 in the bank

you have too much spurs coverage, 3 players is too much, Bale and VdV is plenty so I would get rid of Ade for Rooney.
Evans is out too, so you can downgrade him as you have plenty defenders who can play already.

Baines to Walker (or cheaper spurs def is cash strapped)
Rooney would be the preferred choice, but very hard to justify a 4 pt hit for taking out any of your strikers. On that basis I would do McClean - Nani. Think you will have enough funds for this. I prefer Nani over Valencia because he lloks more threathening recently and is very greedy

Sorry for re-post- my timing sucked on the last article:

    Morning guys

Now Evans is definitely out I have a pretty stinky looking DF for this week so am considering taking a 4pter to clean up the mess.

Am pretty much decided on Cisse>Roon but am still chewing it over before pulling the trigger. I’m now ahead for the first time in my mini-league and aim to stay there. My rival has Roon & Vermaalen who scare me- otherwise his team holds no fear for me at all (no idea what his trannies will be mind you).

So feel if I did Cisse & JEvans > Gibbs & Roon I’ve pretty much covered any worrying differential he has over me.

thats an alarming slide he has been having.

Can you do enrique to vermaelen, to mitigate the risk of a big score from Verm.

Or a cheeky punt on huth for evans maybe, Huth has like 8 attempts on goal the last 6 weeks, highest of any defender, with half of these on target.

Riise is another def with attcking threat, and has been turning it into assist lately.

Jelly and Cisse are differentials in your favour, as is Pienaar and Dempsey. Jeez the more i write it looks like your team should be pummeling his this week. Maybe lookk to make 1 tfr in defense and leave the rest as is, you have a solid team man

Chasing a 16 point lead in my mini league. Rival has RVP, and has already taken a -4, I'm guessing to get Rooney in for one of either Aguero or Adebayor. i was going to take out Cisse for RVP, but after his performance last night I'm wondering if I should risk not having RVP?

Which do you think would be the best for this week:

    Evans out for Verm
Bale out for Nani (already got VDV)
Cisse or Jelevic out for RVP

Or any 2 for a -4. Or have I missed a glaringly obvious better transfer?

    cheers!

I think if your chasing this late in the game no real point in copying his moves.

Might as well go with Cisse and hope he continues his phenomenal scoring rate. Hell maybe even captain him.

In saying this I do think RVP is going to get at least a goal this WKend, mainly as Norwich have took their foot off the pedal and RVP is chasing Champs league and golden boot

I've pulled the trigger. I ditched Tevez for RVP giving me Jellyfish, Cisse RVP.

Now I'm full of regret; I feel like I should have dropped Cisse for RVP. Was all set to do that until his 'worldy' against Chelsea.

I'm considering rectifying this for a hit - please, someone talk me down off the ledge.

why are people getting rid of mclean this week for moses for a hit?

despite sunderland being in poor form he has 17 points in 3 games, ppi of 66 over these 3 games with 4 bps and is playing a team that have let in 6 in their last 4 home games

even if he doesnt perform and ends up with 2 points is it really that likely that moses will score more than 6 away at blackburn (a game blackburn are favourites to win)

in his last 16 games moses has scored more than 6 three times!

    Lost on last post

    I’m chasing a small lead (11pts).

My rival has RVP and might get in Rooney

I will probably get in RVP and Rooney

Free choice, I would captain RVP. But Rooney could just as easily go big. Should I captain rooney, assuming that my rival will go for RVP? Or go RVP ,and hope my differentials win out?

    Rival: Huth, Walker, Dempsey, VDV
    Me: Santon, Turner, Barfa, Valencia

I don’t really see much chance of closing the gap there, unless barfa and valencia go big!

your rival has better differentials I'm sorry to say. I would captain RVP, more likely to go bigger than Roo. With Chica playing up front Roo will drop back a bit and wont be playing the last line. Then if your still in touching distance next week take a chance on captaincy, maybe Tevez or Aguero

I agree that he has better differentials. Especially with Evans being injured. But does that not mean that my best chance of beating him is through captain choices? He will almost certainly go RVP. I agree that RVP has more going for him, but Rooney could go big too!

Im chasing a 19 point lead, rival has RVP but not Roo, I have both, but am captaining RVP simply because he will score more. Anything Rooney gets is a bonus then!

my defense is in serious need of some changing
vorm (tough fixture), mig (rotation risk)
verm, jags, evans (inj), cahill (doubt), caulker (tough fixture)

This leaves me with vorm and caulker playing for certain against utd (which scares me), and verm and jags the only decent players. I have 1.2 in the bank and I already made a transfer for this week so anything I do will cost me -4. so my question is, do I just leave it and hope mig and cahill play so I don't have to play my swansea players against utd, or should I change vorm to friedel or cahill to walker?

    so tl;dr
    1) keep that team and hope mig and cahill play
    2) vorm -> friedel for -4
    3) cahill -> walker for -4

Advice...Evans out...any news on Simpson? Perch played well I believe vs Chelsea so might he keep his place even if Simpson is fit?

I was thinking Hibbert in for Evans, but I always feel I'm 2 weeks or so to late with these cheap def's I'm buying. My h2h opponent has him so I will use it to "cover" him ala Rukuwa. LOL

I'm not even sure ENrigue will play and Caulker will surely get me a 1 max.

(United should obliterate Swansea - Arsenal, on other hand, looking tired, and i think might be a 1-0 or 2-0)
