Robin Van Persie grabs a double in Arsenal’s final home game of the season. Yossi Benayoun scores his second in four starts. Wes Hoolahan provides a goal and assist for the Canaries, while Grant Holt notches his fourteenth of the campaign in a six-goal thriller at the Emirates:

Robin Van Persie
With just a single game in yesterday’s Premier League schedule, the Arsenal skipper was afforded centre stage and he didn’t disappoint those who handed him the armband. Despite failing to score in his previous four at the Emirates, Van Persie was the runaway leader in the Captain Poll this weekend, with 55% of the votes cast – a couple of goals against the Canaries handed his owners a 10 point Fantasy Premier League (FPL) return. This was only his second double-figure points haul in the last ten Gameweeks and, indeed, his first at home since Gameweek 24. The surprise 3-3 draw now hands Spurs and Newcastle a lifeline in the race for third place – both are just two points behind the Gunners ahead of this afternoon’s games against Villa and City respectively. Arsenal, meanwhile, will hope to spoil the part at the Hawthorns next Sunday, as they roll up to West Brom for Roy Hodgson’s last game in charge – their task looks anything but easy, though; the Baggies have five clean sheets in the last six in front of their home fans.

Arsenal Midfield
While Thomas Vermaelen’s Fantasy owners were left frustrated after the Belgian failed to register a single point, the Gunners midfield joined their skipper in earning profit. Tomas Rosicky continued his recent upturn in attacking consistency by chalking up another assist. The Czech midfielder now has three in his last four starts, compared to just one goal and one assist prior to Gameweek 34. Alex Song’s superb creative season was highlighted by yet another assist – the 6.0 priced midfielder has provided twelve for the campaign; only four players have registered more in FPL this thus far. Yossi Benayoun kept his place on the left, with Gervinho staying wide right in Theo Walcott’s absence – the on-loan Israeli international grabbed his side’s second, bringing his recent total to two in his last four appearances.

Grant Holt
Left out of the starting line-up for the previous game against Liverpool, the 5.1 priced forward returned to the Norwich first XI as Paul Lambert opted for two up front at the Emirates. Holt vindicated his manager’s decision by grabbing his first goal since Gameweek 32 – his fourteenth of the season. With three goals and 17 bonus points also thrown in, Holt is the second top outfield player in terms of value this term, having accrued 131 points over his 35 appearances. A final match of the season see out-of-sorts Villa roll up to Carrow Road, offering Holt further opportunity to finish the season with a flourish a week today.

Wes Hoolahan
The Canaries playmaker chipped in with a goal and assist contribution as Norwich ended their three-game losing streak. Hoolahan has started six of his side’s last ten matches and has now produced attacking returns in all but one of those first-team appearances since Gameweek 28 – clearly, he has strong potential as a budget Fantasy forced but, despite his obvious impact, continues to remain a victim of Lambert’s rotation policy. Jonny Howson, on the other hand, is clearly favoured by the Norwich boss – the former Leeds man has started every one of his side’s last nine games and played a significant part yesterday, providing the assist for Steve Morison’s late equaliser.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

One of the changes suggested that has been mentioned most frequently is the members-only forum. Frankly speaking as a non-member, I think it is a pretty good idea. People who pay deserve to get quality advice for sure.

The reason I am a non-member, is simply, that I don't play any facet of this game for money. Betting is sadly illegal in India, and all of members in my mini-leagues are scattered throughout the country, that it becomes impossible to have cash-prizes for winning the mini-league.

I too have witnessed the recent annoying posts (the worst being those who troll by copying entire contents of the commentary and posting it, and even some duplication of accounts). Today, though, I believe was a genuine mistake for which they profusely apologized and should not be blamed. They were just trying to have fun, it was after all a really dead dead-zone out there today.

I am not sure whether there are members, but there are some who post the same question over and over again until they are satisfied with the number of replies they have got. These posts are equally annoying. What would you do if some of these are members? You can't have a select member forum, now can you?

I guess what I am saying is that if we refrain from such acts of immaturity, it wouldn't matter whether it's a general or members only forum.

I also think it's high-time that we hear the official view on this subject (Mark, Jonty, Stilicho.... )

If you make a members only forum then you will lose quite a lot of good advice from the non members too. You may say that the members only forum would have less quality advice.

Who says that members can't post some annoying posts? U can't judge posters by that if they are members or non members. And there was a league between members and non members I am not sure who was running it, maybe it was Atilla, Well there wasn't big difference in points between both of them.

The moderation rule will be improved in summer as Mark said and it will help. Problem possibly solved. There isn't any chance to make 0% of annoying/ offending posts.

I didn't mean to imply that members can't post annoying posts. On the contrary, I suggested that members too could easily have annoying posts. If members post questions over and over again, that could be terribly annoying too.

I really like the idea of the ignore button though.

I think it would be good if FFS can build a system for setting up money leagues for us online, they can charge on top of our entry for 'admin costs'. I think a LOT of people would like this and it could be very profitable for them

I have never once in the 5-6 years, seen a reference to his wife on the forum. Why doesn't she post ever or is she not interested in fantasy football at all. She must wonder what he is up-to on this site? Especially during the times when he is used to write all the articles by himself.

I actually have no idea when he got married so all this would not apply if it's just been over a year or something....

He bought in Komp this week too. To be fair, he had 2 injured defenders (Cahill and BAE) but all the same, to captain the player of a team you're obviously hoping keeps a cleanie - that really is Bizarre Inc.

If I can take a 40+ lead into the final week, I should be safe.

      ?

Nike is an 'upmarket' sports designer in my eyes, along with adidas.

Chav is Le Coqsportif or Diadora

I agree. I know Nike messed up the Arsenal kit but they are a top sports brand. Le coq sportif is your classic chav sportswear.

Yeah I have seen the massacred United shirts. Awful. Will check the Barca one now. Oh yeah they do make some horrible kits bit on the whole they are quality. They make good football boots, trainers and they brought the world Air Jordans (not that I wear them) so they're not all bad.

No United could hurt him badly, as could double Newcaslte defence v City as I think City will score. Your only worry is Vorm fior me, as Bego will not likely start.

Yeah Vorm is a worry and did not expect to play him, already took a hit getting rooney in and could not afford another. If things go to plan and both Manchester clubs do well I should outscore him

Haven't you both got defenders in your team who will come in? Even if they are likely to get 1 point.

Probably not worth taking a hit for a defender at this stage unless you are short.

As long as all 3 are fit, I think you should leave it as it is. They will all get you 2 points (in theory), so you would need a clean sheet just to break even, and a clean sheet is far from guaranteed.

Morning all! Looking forward to a good day off football today, praying for Newcastle to do us a favour!

I was nervous before the City United match but just as nervous now. Personally think City will be too strong for Newcastle unfortunately. Whenever I really want a team to beat my rivals it never seems to happen.

Well, we'll see, hoping United just do their part and stuff Swansea, which will be no easy fixture.
