It’s the penultimate weekend of the 2011/12 Premier League season, and only Wolves know their fate. Although nothing can be officially decided today, the Dugout Dugout opens for seven games with huge significance at both ends of the table. We start with arguably the biggest game of the day, as Manchester City travel to Newcastle United, with the title and Champions League qualification on the line. Here’s how both sides line-up…

Newcastle XI: Krul, Perch, Williamson, Coloccini, Santon, Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Tiote, Gutierrez, Cisse, Ba.

Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Lescott, Kompany, Clichy, Nasri, Toure Yaya, Barry, Silva, Aguero, Tevez

Unsurprisingly, after two massive wins this week, both sides name unchanged line-ups.

Should City falter at the Sports Direct Arena, then attention and intrigue with turn to Old Trafford to see how the Champions can respond at home to Swansea.

In and amongst those two huge games, there’s five games kicking off at 2pm. They include three of the five sides desperately trying to avoid relegation with Aston Villa facing third-place chasing Spurs, QPR hosting Stoke, and Bolton welcoming the visit of West Brom.

Follow all the action as it unfolds in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which can be accessed right here.

Great effort by Swans to keep it to 2-0, unlucky not to score themselves. Enjoyed watching them this season.

Someone asked earlier but can't find it but what would you say is an unassailable lead going into last week. 30? Higher maybe lower?

It would depend on how many players you share with your rival. 30 would be comfortable with no two unknown teams but in most cases teams share 4/5 players so 20 would probably do it.

Well, I'm 25 points behind rival and think I'm screwed. 30 points should be safe but if your teams are significantly different it can be caught in one week.

When adebayor is on £150k you know it's a bit much. Only a few players in the world deserve that kind of money because of the revenue they bring to the club. Adebayor is no world wide superstar.

Have you looked at Adebayor's career stats? He consistently has +15 goals and double (or close to) digit assists.

He maybe painful to watch at times, but he's a top striker.

It's not reward, it's a combination of quality and business. Beckham could go to most rich teams in the world and get £100k wages. That example is just for pure business.

Salary caps are normally a waste of time unless they are self imposed by the clubs it is often easy to get around them.

Not sure about salary caps, but FFP. Regardless, it's hard to offload players on high wages even if you can't guarantee then playing time. Examples are Adebayor and Bridge. You've just have to loan them and pay most of their wages.

If City win the league, can't see many wanting to leave - say Adam Johnson, to make way for others coming in, e.g Hazard or whoever...

It's not just about wages. Clubs have to be financially sound. If the Shiek pulled out in the morning, city would be in trouble. Chelsea too probably.

If Moses scores a blank, I will lose my lead in my ML and be exactly 1pt behind! Going into the last gw, I will be fielding:
          .
          Krul/Mignolet
          JEvans, Vermaelen, Hibbert
          Moses, Valencia, Pienaar, Sigurdsson
          RvP (c), Rooney, Jelavic
          .
          Bench: Dempsey, Simpson, Kelly
          .
          .
I expect my opponent will field:
          .
          Krul/Mignolet
          Simpson, Walker, Hibbert
          Dempsey , Valencia, Pienaar, VdV
          RvP (c), Rooney, Ba
          .
          Bench: McClean, Kelly, Taylor
          .
          .
Ruled out taking a hit. So I have ONE TRANSFER to win my minileague. What would you do? I'm actually thinking Krul > Hart. Not totally sold on Aguero/Tevez.. I see QPR setting up defensively and Man City shutting shop themselves as soon as they have a 1-0 lead.

Rooney to Aguero I reckon. If you were further behind, Torres for a punt possibly.

          My Prediction were almost true.
Predicted Man United to score 2 goals with Scholes & Nani(Young started in his place 🙁 ,so he couldn't) scoring.
Swans were unlucky not to score.

Pretty poor score and all players gone partly because of pieneer and jelavic captain but could I get some baps from any of these Given, Jaginelka, Dempsey, aguero and adebayor ..?

I'd have thought from a position of ignorance you'd have a change with Jags, Demps, Aguero and Ade.
