After a brief three-day hiatus from the Euro 2012 action, we’re raring to go once again as Spain take on Portugal this evening in the first semi-final of the tournament. With only three games left of the competition, there are big decisions to be made by Fantasy managers looking to get that vital edge in their mini-leagues. As always, we’ve opened up the Dugout Discussion ahead of kick-off:

The team news is in and is as follows:

Vicente Del Bosque makes one alteration to Spain’s lineup from the side that saw off France 2-0 in the previous round. It’s a move that will surprise many, with Alvaro Negredo handed the chance to lead the line, as Cesc Fabregas joins Fernando Torres on the bench. Portugal also make a single change but it’s one that had been anticipated. With Helder Postiga due to a hamstring injury, Hugo Almeida is given the lone forward role.

Spain XI: Casillas; Arbeloa, Ramos, Pique, Jordi Alba; Busquets, Alonso, Xavi; Silva, Negredo, Iniesta

Portugal XI: Patricio: Pereira, Pepe, Bruno Alves, CoentrAo; Veloso, Meireles, Moutinho; Nani, Almeida, Ronaldo

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

This referee is head mental. How many bad decisions do you want to make.

This ref not having a good un so far.....the Only thing Nani done on his feet and the Ref spoiled it.

Gotta say Portugal doing very well - as expected. They gave the Germans a very tough game and was very unlucky to lose 1-0 having hit post & bar......Spain certainly not dominating possession.

This is the problem with UEFA, in the interest of everything PC and "equality" they bring refs to this contest that are not up to scratch. This guy has been a joke so far.

Exactly, they need to take the best refs from the best leagues not refs from every feckin nation. He's of no use.

He serves no purpose. A league riddled with corruption and a poor standard of football at that.

Corruption! That's the prize word! The corruption in football is rather sickening.

Exactly. The stakes are too high to be messing about with poor officials. If only they were able to clone Pierluigi Collina.

I'm starting to laugh at that Negredo's bandwagon. He's never meant to score. Fabregas or Torres or whoever comes on will score, and that includes Navas.

The only reason I went for Olivera was it allowed me to get Iniesta, who I have yet to see the value of. Negredo up front could still bag a goal or an assist. At less than 8 million with 0.2% ownership it was worth a punt.

I feel all three striker spots should be used to its best potential like filling in with the most on-form players and not because gaining the extra cash and improve other areas. If it's to be done, then I'll be looking to get someone from the midfield off or someone looking the least potential.

Iniesta seems to be losing the ball too easily and not working to get it back. We need more.

The ref seemed pretty biased so I did a quick google search.

Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir has won the honor of overseeing the Euro12 semi-final pitting Spain against Portugal amid claims from the Portuguese camp that the man is biased against them. Headlines in major Portuguese sporting media uniformly condemned the decision to give the match to Cakir because of an alleged connection between Spanish president of the UEFA Referee Committee Ángel María Villar, and the vice president of the same organization Senes Erzik who is from Turkey. Erzik was also reportedly the intermediary between FC Barcelona and UNICEF when the Catalan club negotiated the sponsorship deal with the global charity.

Barcelona fans will recognize Cakir as the referee who dismissed John Terry during the home leg of the Champions League semi-final with Chelsea, and who awarded Barcelona a penalty in the same match.

I dont know why the Portuguese wont play Ron more central as all their strikers are poor. He would give real threat & they do have Quarema who could cause problems out wide.

Particularly now he just got Ramos booked!
