FPL 2012/13 Is Now Open

And we’re off….Having released the Player Price List earlier on this week, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game is now officially up and running for the 2012/13 campaign, allowing us to tinker with our teams ahead of the big kick-off on Saturday August 18:

In conjunction with Tuesday’s revelation, our coverage of the player valuations continues to pick up pace. Having rolled out our analysis of the Goalkeepers and Defenders, we followed that up with a look at the Midfielders earlier this afternoon – no prizes for guessing the Forwards are on tomorrow’s agenda.

For now, though, let’s not waste any further time – our patience has been tested enough. Head off to the official site and get your team registered for the new season, folks, and let the planning begin.

    Have good keeper rotations been determined yet? At the moment I have Jussi and De Gea who look OK until GW8. Any other keeper combos I should looking at?

      De Gea is getting all the love but Krul put in a very decent return for a 5.5m keeper and paired with Mingolet that's 10.5m for perfect rotation and an decent set of points.

    looking at the price list my initial thoughts were prices were slightly lower than last season, so great.

    However trying to pick a decent team which will carry me through the first few weeks is extremely difficult. I just can't get the balance right

    Chelsea dgw is tempting but then having 3 chelsea and then going into gw 3 with chelsea not playing is a massive issue.

      Not if you use your GW2-3 transfers to do Torres to Rooney and Hazard to Bale

        Demba Ba does have a point that you have a guaranteed non-starter in GW3 if you start with more than 2 players from Chelsea and Reading. If your other players are reasonably nailed on, that shouldn't matter too much though.

            I suppose everything is up in the air as so much can change between now and the start of the season but initially could be a good call even if it is only for a month or two. In saying that Arsenals defence will have to be a lot better than last season.
