FPL 2012/13 Is Now Open

And we’re off….Having released the Player Price List earlier on this week, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game is now officially up and running for the 2012/13 campaign, allowing us to tinker with our teams ahead of the big kick-off on Saturday August 18:

In conjunction with Tuesday’s revelation, our coverage of the player valuations continues to pick up pace. Having rolled out our analysis of the Goalkeepers and Defenders, we followed that up with a look at the Midfielders earlier this afternoon – no prizes for guessing the Forwards are on tomorrow’s agenda.

For now, though, let’s not waste any further time – our patience has been tested enough. Head off to the official site and get your team registered for the new season, folks, and let the planning begin.

    To anyone asking about Reading players, I'm from
    Reading and go watch them every game that doesn't clash with Arsenal...

    First XI is up in the air atm now that they can finally buy players for basically the first time in forever. I can seriously see McDermott wanting to give the players that got them promoted a good chance in the Prem (Gorkks, Leighterwood, Karacan, possibly even Roberts).

    It may or may not help but I'd say these five are the only 100% nailed on players for GW1 without taking injuries/fitness into consideration...

        Certainly don't see him starting.. Would be very surprised if he did. I'd say both Roberts and Noel Hunt would be above him based on second half of last season.

        Will know more after a few more friendlies but atm I'd put him down as coming on from the 60th minute onwards..

                think a lots been written in the press trying to find a chink in team sky's armour but feel the work ethic and a bunch of mates riding for each other just shines through at the end of the day, all ive read comin outa sky tells me if the numbers add up next yr and its a mountainous tour froombe will be number one so this year their all staying on track and that means froombe stays with wiggo in his super domestique role

            True. If I don't have Aguero to begin with I would need some Citeh cover for their first fixture (not just Lescott) as I think Southampton may well concede 3 or 4 goals. Was thinking Nasri if he is nailed on - he gets assists at least and goals as well

    It's actually bugging me that hardly any RMTs on here feature RVP. Y'know, the top scoring player on this game last season and who, at £13mil, will prove tricky to fit into a side that doesn't begin with him in it. Starting with him will offer much more scope to manoeuvre if his rival big hitters get off to flyers.

    If he stays at Arsenal he's got a good home game in GW1. If he goes to United or City he could surpass what he achieved last season and subsequently affect the FPL potential of Rooney and Aguero.

    My GW1 team will have him in it. Unless he opts to move abroad. If that's the case, then maybe not.

      It's obviously just because his future isn't settled. ATM it isn't fun putting in Pienaar and Ade until they move to Everton and Spurs. RVP will be in most teams once you know where he is at.
