In addition to recently publishing the first set of Pre-Season Player Projections, we’ve also rolled out a selection of new stat maps in the Members Area.

Currently these are available via the Match Dashboard, allowing you to view events such as Goal Attempts, Chances Created, Crosses, Passes, Tackles, Clearances and Blocks in any given match. You can also filter these by any player in the match to get a view of his performance for any of the stats in question.

We’ve got more stat maps to add to the selection, most notably a touches heatmap. Before that, however, we’ll be adding these new stat maps to the Player Profiles and Compare Tool to allow the analysis of the maps over a range of Gameweeks.

For details on how you can sign up for membership and the benefits on offer, click here.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

The PPI slash BP system is ruining FF.
You score a goal you get the BP.
BP should be for Modric syndrome.
Even hairstyle-based BP was better than this.
Having 5 big hitters is cancer, this might as well be Sky FF.
    Fc.uk off EA, no-one cares.
I refuse to pirate your product until this matter is resolved to my satisfaction.

Cheers, helpful stuff. I too was impressed with Clyne, he's been in and out of my team since (half)watching the game earlier.. Currently in there at the moment with Gunter as my 4.0 cheap defenders.

Thanks for the report. But please change the background of your site. I get why you went with the stripes but they are too strong. Fade them and better highlight your heading text. Just some visual design tips 🙂

I think Pulis has basically perfected his kind of game, call it the ultimate English way if you like... it's ugly but effective. I am banking on the Britannia being a fortress. Tempting to get Begovic over Federici.

I'm pretty sold on Begovic keeping Sorenson out. Sorenson has let Pulis down a few too many times. DDG is Fergie's favourite, he's groomed to be the long term goalie, I can't see Fergie cutting him down this season.

If they were both dropped at the same time this season I'd be ridiculously unlucky =)

I think that it's the sheer opportunity cost of Aguero/Rooney/Torres that puts me off. If you have a Jelavic/Cisse/Bent then they are going to cost 3-4 million less and maybe score 1-2 points less per gameweek. I just think that the money spent elsewhere would generate more than that 1-2 points.

Splurging all that cash put me off ever trying this until now, but I came round to it for several reasons:

        1) Strikers have the highest goal involvement percentage in their team's goals and this seems to go especially for the biggest strikers

        2) The biggest teams score the most goals generally

        3) Captaincy options are sorted. A reliable captaincy will gain bucketloads of points

        4) Reliability - it's a lot easier to pick a scoring heavy hitter striker than almost any other player for the start of the season

        5) Flexibility - downgrading a single striker to a cheapie makes pretty much any other transfer possible so you can respond to early season successes

Really wish Adebayor would just get a move on and sign a deal for Spurs. Would make that 3rd striker spot so much easier to fill. At the moment I have Bent in there but would feel so much more confident with Ade instead. The boy did wonders for me last year.

Neither because I see Giroud definitely taking some points off Podolski (even if we score much) and Newcastle fixtures aren't brilliant for now. Plus they have Europa League and possible second season syndrome for Pardew.

GW2 - hold my nerve while others shit there pants and play there WC

GW3 - Laugh at everyone who did there WC as the team they ditched just outscored the new team

GW4 - Observe the form and notice the season creme rising to the top

Like it alot. Arteta's a decent punt, and one which i may indulge in should RVP leave and once the fixture's are better. Tevez is a gamble worth taking too, he's looking great in pre-season so should start gw 1 atleast. Definitely wouldn't have Szczesny with those fixtures though, especially as you have Friedel.

Assuming they keep even one clean sheet that's 20 points from three defenders.
Playing it risky alright, but captaining Aguero v Southampton will hopefully make up for the loss at the back if they leak. No confidence in Hazard/Torres at their price.

Looks like there are several strategies for the WC:

    1) Try to pick a totally safe team to AVOID using the WC so you have a late season points boost when a DGW appears.

    2) Punt like mad. If it goes wrong, WC asap.

    3) Try to pick a well - balanced, reasonable team with mixture of punts and proven. End up WCing asap, anyway.

Strategy (1) for me this year. Although I won't have TOTALLY safe team at the start. I don't mind taking a few points hits early on, if it means gaining some value and/or losing some non-starters.
One thing I'm not doing this year for sure, is, WCing for the sake of it during an international break just make money

Would going into gw1 with £5m in the bank be madness? I don't think the best players for gw1 need be that expensive and £5m in the kitty for gw2/3 transfers would be great. I have a team I'm very happy with for gw1 at £95m.

My thoughts are slowly leaning towards starting with a front three of Torres, Aguero & Rooney.

Those with thoughts of Torres out Rooney in for GW2, what will you do if Torres has a cracker of a GW1? The rich potential of the midfield behind Torres is as plain as day. He may well be getting an absurd opportunity to score goals.

I'm shipping Torres or Aguero for Rooney in gw2. If by some miracle Torres goes nuts in the dgw, i might keep him for one more week. But, you'll still have to get rid of him for gw3, you don't want a 10m striker sitting on your bench.

Alreet lads: I'm still in the uk on holiday and banned from here by the mrs. Just back from the boozer and she is in bed so I'll sneak a few minutes. Saw isakis post about a 5 man rotation and have to say that I still think it could be a great option. I'm going to look into it when I get back to china. Though I think it might be best used with a GW4 WC when you have a better idea how all of the defences will look.

Oh why did you have to say that, I started with 2 x 2, then got a 3 team rotation, now presently working on a 4 team rotation after it was suggested now a 5 team rotation sounds good hmmmm

In theory with a 5 team rotation, you should be able to get 3 good defenders (4.5-5.5m) with good fixtures playing every game. Rather than 1-2 expensive defenders playing regardless of the fixture plus a shitter. For a similar cost. Not sure if it works out in practice, as I haven't investigated it properly yet.

Haha good luck staying undercover Mr Mag! 5-way is just a way of saving some money while getting decent fixtures. Yes might be wiser once we have some idea of defensive form..

      Ivan, Terry, Cahill, Cole
      Mikel, Lamps
      Ramires, Hazard, Marin
      Torres

This should be the team for gw1 with Mata replacing Marin and oscar replacing lamps after a few weeks.

I think Mikel will play in harder games, and someone slightly more attacking like Marin will play there when it's an easier game.

But lamps/oscar aren't natural defensive mids so you can't have no defensive mid
