Another piece in the Fantasy Football Scout jigsaw for the new season was restored this evening, with the Set Piece Takers table published and added to the top menu bar.

Andy has rinsed through all the Premier League clubs and added details for all the Penalty, Direct Free Kick and Corner/Indirect Free Kick takers. When it comes to Penalties and Free Kicks, the players are listed according to the current perceived pecking order.

As we get more data from the pre-season matches, we’ll be refreshing the table accordingly. Plus, once the season starts, we’ll be keeping this table up to date to reflect any changes and pecking order shuffles for each team.

Proudest moment yet in training the girlfriend to play fantasy football. I made an account, showed her the rules, how to get around the site and gave her a template-ish side to start with.

  Begovic, Taarabt, Petric are the ones I'm leaning to out of those. Pienaar might well be a pretty good shout too, unsure on that one. Looks like a pretty solid team but not overly interested in Britton or Graham personally. Think it might be wise to stay away from Swansea and see how they fare without Rodgers and Siggy

        I agree Garg, Pienaar is an intriguing prospect at 6.5. Looks a class above most of the players in that price bracket. I also prefer Larsson to McClean despite the latter performing so admirably for me last season.

Solves the problem of Cueller | Demel | Clyne (having to play a WHU or SOU defender now and again).
Obviously it requires Billy Jones being nailed on. Corrigan reported the WBrom forums expect this.
Schwarzer | Bego an alternative to Foster | Bego to avoid doubling up on WBrom defence. The rotation is a bit hairy for the first 7 weeks but then gets really nice. So it is potentially a long term plan, allowing me to save my wildcard, which I would love to do this season.
Two big hitters and two sets of rotators, avoiding promoted clubs. Haven't seen this in a RMT yet.

  Billy Jones won't be nailed on. Steven Reid is first choice, injury prone so Jones will probably get a decent run in the team but if Reid is fit, Jones won't play.

What are peoples thoughts on Nuri Sahin coming to the prem and which team would he likely go to?

Personally I think united would be a good destination for him as they need a good central midfielder. Also he would complement Kagawa as they played well together at Dortmund.

Am I the only one thinking Lennon will have a good injury-free season? 7.0 and looks safe on the right wing. Under AVB's attacking tactics he'll deliver the goods IMO.

    Meh I think Siggy and VDV will rotate but sure even VDV out on the right won't last long with those delicate hamstrings. And with Bale injured (confirmation tomorrow probably) he might miss the start of the season. Worth a punt at least.

    Also, if Verm/Vert/Baines hit form you don't have the flexibility to bring one in. It's one of the best teams i've seen though.

    Really don't know with Pog, see how he gets on. Could be very tasty at the price if he hits form and Reading start well, despite the missing week.
    
    Really don't know about Mata/Hazard, will see closer to the season, will probably downgrade the one who I don't think will play as many minutes and get Cole in defence.

      Really unsure with Pog - Reading don't score many, and his record pre Fulham is pretty poor. That said, for 5.0m he's possibly worth a gamble.
      
      Chelsea mids are a headache. I'm on Lamps at the moment, but mainly for set pieces and, I think, a higher chance of starting both games. Pretty sure whoever I get in midfield will -> Bale in GW3 regardless. A CHE defender probably worth it - hedge your bets etc...

    Thats the plan, may get a Spurs defender to begin with but main coverage will come in after a few weeks. Impossible to cover every top side with the budget you start with imo

  I'd be tempted with Bale -> a CHE mid for the DGW. Bale is an injury doubt, and has a tough fixture anyway. I'd also prefer Taarabt or Pienaar over N'Zogbia. Otherwise pretty decent.
