Set Piece Takers Table Now Live

Another piece in the Fantasy Football Scout jigsaw for the new season was restored this evening, with the Set Piece Takers table published and added to the top menu bar.

Andy has rinsed through all the Premier League clubs and added details for all the Penalty, Direct Free Kick and Corner/Indirect Free Kick takers. When it comes to Penalties and Free Kicks, the players are listed according to the current perceived pecking order.

As we get more data from the pre-season matches, we’ll be refreshing the table accordingly. Plus, once the season starts, we’ll be keeping this table up to date to reflect any changes and pecking order shuffles for each team.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Thoughts on Petric?
    + Good early fixtures (can play Maloney/Taarabt GW2 instead)
    + Jol seems to like him
    + Good pre-season form
    + Possible penalties
    + FK's
    + Jol starting to implement attacking football
    + Cheap

    - Was apparently rubbish last season according to PBJ

      Don't want Graham as an alternative as I am pretty set on Sinclair now, so would find some extra for elsewhere for the likes of Holt etc.

      Don't know if you're still around, but I like Petric and think he could have a great season. My only concern is that he might not have the best of starts and although Graham is the less fashionable choice, he should continue his form from last season and prove a solid ~4PPG player

    1. Would Clark be playing oop again, or at least sure starter at the back?
    2. Is Tomkins worth the extra 0.5 from the other WH def? Is he a big scoring threat?
    3. Stoke back 4, ?? - Shawcross - Huth - ?? Any chance Ness as a starter?
    4. Which 4m would you pick between Clyne, Tierney, Nelsen or someone from Reading?

      1. General consensus seems to be that he will be competing for a CB spot with Dunne, Collins and Vlaar.
      2. Don't think so. I'm avoiding WHU defence altogether.

          well its different...Yaya could be a good shout but will probably play more defensive. No guarantee that Sturridge will get a lot of game time and same for Wellbeck with that Kawaga lad in. I want Jones from United and looks like he will be a good shout with injuries.. In general, you need to make some changes though

            i still think valencia's competing with nani/young and won't start every game, and silva's gonna get less gametime this season due to a long summer and really obvious fatigue last season (the main reason they nearly lost the title arguably).

                nani's stats (in fpl terms) are absolutely brutal, better than valencia's. as a utd fan i much prefer valencia too though.

        R.Ferdinand is a place holder to start the season till we see which of Jones or Rafeal gets RB. Waiting on the spurs situation to clear up before getting one of Kaboul/Dawson for the fixtures after GW1. Will bring in Bale asap for Hazard or Mata. Keepers rotate really well.

          Liverpool is doomed, after that line-up they put out there against...who was it Spurs? Aquilani-less; the tealeaves don't lie. That was the shittiest line-up I have ever seen, looked like Kenny picked the squadsheet. If I were Pool fan I would have thrown-up. Sell Carroll already, sell Downing, Sell Adam...they sell the one player that maintain possession. I thought it was a good sign that he didn't play against Spurs, that slop-fest would have only pissed me off. Poor Rodgers...I may transfer Glen Johnson out of my squad (Suarez as well); this is ridiculous, he doesn't have the players to do what he thinks he wants to do. Guaranteed Sterling sighting by GW4.                       Where did I say that? Friendlies are still competitive, it's not as if they go out there and jog around for a bit then leave. Chelsea have played more friendlies than Spain has had Olympic games, as well as playing over in the US as opposed to in London (ie less travelling etc.)
                      He has been training throughout the Euro's and Olympics, but it's not as if the staff will be letting him over-exert himself, they are well aware of the effects of over-training there is no way they'd be pushing him too far, if anything he will be fitter than most of the Chelsea squad. Do keep up.

        Just transferred in Silva for Bale cause worried about Bale injury.
        Will downgrade one of the big strikers after a few game weeks for a budget striker who is doing well and upgrade a budget mid to a high performing midfielder.

        Logic: Can't find any midfielders (except Bale and Silva) who will get points for sure (Man utd rotation drives me crazy and Chelsea have brought in too many mids to play them continuously for three games in one week and Dempsey may leave Fulham).

        Any comments? have i invested too much in defence? too little in midfield even after planned changes?

        What do people think of Balotelli as a viable option over Aguero? He's on pens and free kicks, Mancini stuck by him despite all his antics last season and he's arguably grown up (a little) since the start of that term. His performance at the Euro's proved he's one of the better forwards around at present and with Dzeko potentially moving he'd be the only "Big Man" option, unless Adebayor slots back in.

        Perhaps I'm trying to convince myself but it does mean I can fit a reasonable strikeforce of Balotelli, Ba and Zamora up front with a stacked mid and solid defence. Seriously considering it...

        Bale is such a pussy, calling Charlie Adam a coward over a sloppy tackle? It's drama like that will make defense a "toothless" part of the game. Say he should be banned, say it was reckless, but don't be a drama queen over it.

              I'm more a fan of "An eye for an eye", rather than bitching Bale should tear through Adam's shin two-footed off the ball in their next encounter. He'd get a ban but then Adam can have a nice layoff as he afforded Bale. Adam just seems to be a bit of a thug and is proving he's no more than a little fish in a big pond since his move from Blackpool.

          No way bale is going to be fully fit by season start. Accusations about him aside, when he does get tackled like that he does tend to go to the physio for weeks at a time and i think he's recurrence prone at this point.

              I think he's a diver, but even if you like him (don't get me wrong i had him in my drafts too lol) I would drop him. Why risk his career when you still have a pretty good midfield without him?

            Valencia is a real gamble considering Kagawa inclusion. Man Utd midifield feels random to me and i think beyond the first few weeks he is a rotation risk. Taylor plays Tottenham, Chelsea and Man Utd in the first six gameweeks, there are other options. Everyone is saying it'll be aguero/tevez up front but i think considering how well balotelli did at the Euro's may change that three-man dynamic if either lose form.
