Right, how to deal with this fallout? Okay, I have the following deadwood:
Fabio
Ramires
Torres
With possibly Aguero and Lamps needing to go as well I'm already looking at some hits. The only INs I'm looking at is Michu and possibly a Utd captain option.
With Fabio, I'll keep patient. 1 GW is not enough to gauge defences. Ramires is not the worst pick but he would never have been considered were it not for the double. Chelsea players are beyond frustrating.
The plan is as follows:
Ramires to Michu .5 in the bank
then tomorrow night, if Rooney is the man I'll get him in for Aguero. If RVP looks the figurehead, I'll happily get rid of Torres too. Lamps is a little expensive to keep over a blank and also not an exciting prospect, but if I'm not careful I'll be whacked by hits. WC saved...Open Controls-
I have Fabio, Lamps and Torres
Plan to hold all atm.
McClean picked up 3 BPs, if Adam Johnson goes to Sunderland, I may bite, he's the Kolarov of mids for PPG, ridiculousOpen Controls -
Torres didn't look bad and the easy game is still to come. Don't lose sleep over having him an extra week.
Open Controls -
same deadwood but i already have tevez and michu
Open Controls
-
-
considering holding on to VDV...good idea?
Open Controls-
I am too
Open Controls -
Me too. Hopefully avb is not the moron he seems to be.
Open Controls-
He'd better start Vertonghen too!!
Open Controls
-
-
Yep
Open Controls
-
My plan was to bring Michu in for either Lamps or Mata and i'm sticking with it. So, which one should i get rid of? The other will be taken out the following week.
Open Controls-
Wait till after Wednesday since you have the cash. What if the other gets injured??
Open Controls-
Good advice but I can never bring myself to miss price rises on players i know i'm bringing in... It's only bitten me on the @rse once so i'll prob carry on with that (debateable) tactic,
Open Controls
-
-
-
get rid of mata...too expensive for me and doesn't score enough goals
Open Controls -
Cheers chaps - i was leaning toward Mata, especially as he's due a rest, he's more expensive and Lamps scored. Makes sense. Until Lamps gets injured on Wed...
Open Controls
-
-
If Aguero is out for long I'll probably transfer him out this week and either Lampard or Torres next week
Open Controls-
no more news
Open Controls
-
-
WOW!!
I have never seen so much knee jerking on here before!!
I am sticking to my pre GW plan Petric (after the rises) to Graham
Ive missed Michu, so ill get over it!Open Controls-
Leaving me with
Vorm
Terry Vertonghen Clyne
Ireland Mata VDV Kagawa
Graham Tevez Torres
Its a marathon not a sprintOpen Controls -
I've been here 5 years and the scale of this knee jerk is the biggest I've ever seen.
Transferring out players before they've played, spending points, it's crazy I tell you, crazy.Open Controls-
But gran, do you expect anything less?
Since we gone ' corpaorate ' every man and his dog take advice her as gospel 🙂Open Controls-
Whatever happened to independent thought. You get shot down for thinking slightly outside the box. I was criticised for avoiding Torres and for going for too many risks. I haven't done badly.
Open Controls
-
-
It's not usual to see the kind of fixtures Swansea have combined with a player going wild on his debut, with a sub 5% ownership, low price and playing OOP.
Open Controls-
True, but he will probably get 2 points the next game.......or a hattrick and ill give up!
Open Controls -
^this, coupled with an injury scare to big-hitting FW with 30-something % ownership. I knee-jerked Michu in, yes for a player who hasn't played (Pieaar). Been burned by Adam, Carroll, VDV, Ba bandwagons on the past (not all necessarily last season), so I'm taking the risk and getting on this one
Open Controls
-
-
Maybe all the newbies? But lessons have been learnt by me the last two seasons
Swansea playing well means the main striker should benefit
I wish I ahd stayed with my Michu pick from pre-season, but I didnt. Oh well!Open Controls -
Yep, be good for the rest of us in the long run though.
I am truly shocked.
I am probably saving a transfer this week and I have Torres and Ramires and no Michu etc, but I chose my team with the first 10 weeks in mind and I wont panic from a couple of games.Open Controls -
A lot of it is due to a DGW and doubts over newcomers.
Selling Torres is not a knee jerk. I should never have bought him. He can score all he wants v Reading as I need the points but he's out. I'd rather have Michu than go without him.Open Controls-
im same with franky although all along i said he was skipper for DGW and then sell him
so no knee jerkOpen Controls-
Buying Michu is perfectly logical and not a knee jerk. If we didn't get on bandwagons we wouldn't buy anyone in form. Although I use the term myself, "knee jerk" annoys me. Buying someone in Michu's circumstances and selling someone as rubbish as Torres; that's just a logical transfer!
Open Controls-
i agree 100 %
Open Controls
-
-
-
I agree about Torres. But how many people got Torres through fear of missing out rather than complete confidence that he will come good.
Open Controls-
Missing out. *puts hand up*. But just to add, I thought nando had turned a corner and in fairness to him Chelsea were pretty poor today, he had nothing much to work off so just now it's hard to say what he will be like
Open Controls-
I know, the way Chelsea play doesn't suit him at all. With Ramires out Mata was forced more into central midfield, sometimes picking up the ball from the backs. It's difficult for Torres to front up because he's so often coming to retrieve the ball.

Do you think Cazorla/Torres -> Michu/RVP would be. Good transfer for a four-point hit?
And also how much do you think Michu will rise this week? 0.3?Open Controls-
Nope
Open Controls -
Even thinking about taking Cazorla out is madness! He was quality yesterday...on another day he could've easily had a goal and an assist. I'm confident that he will score well this year in FPL.
Open Controls-
-
Best of luck with that...!
Open Controls
-
-
I really feel like getting everyone in a room and telling them to calm the **** down. We're only 3/4 quarters of the way through GW1.
Open Controls-
-
Yep, I am enjoying everyone panic, I couldn't feel calmer and I have had an average GW, I wont be taking any hits or kneejerking.
Open Controls
-
-
-
Cazorla was really, really good. When Arsenal start firing (which they will) I expect him to be a massive player for them.
I'm definitely holding on to himOpen Controls
-
-
2 bps for Jenkinson.. what a nice surprise!
Open Controls-
-
Feels like it 😀
Open Controls
-
-
-
I'll ask again. What are Aguero + Torres owners doing?
Open Controls-
-
You had both?
Open Controls-
-
What would you do if you had both? And why the early transfer?
Open Controls-
It was a planned transfer anyway and price rises have caught me out in the past so I don't want to switch off during the week only to find I am £0.1m off being able to get Rooney in.
Open Controls-
Wait until you know more about the Aguero injury. Mancini said they will know in a couple of days so find out about that first then make a decision. If he is out for a while Torres (h) to Newcastle is a fine fixture to keep him in for and you can see what you need to do with Kun.
Open Controls
-
-
-
-
-
-
£3m in the bank.. could go Torres > Rooney or RvP (if his price holds for another gw).
May even just stick.. depending on how he fares against Reading.Open Controls -
What's so terrible about Torres?!
Y'know, even RVP went games without scoring last year...Open Controls -
Aguero - Tevez.
Keeping Torres til next week 😐Open Controls -
Probably Aguero -> RVP or Rooney after tomorrows game. After that Torres->Tevez for the easy GW3 against QPR. Will leave me with Mata and Ivan on the bench for GW3 though unless I take a hit.
Open Controls -
Waiting on news of Aguero...133.5 hours till the deadline..no rush.
Open Controls -
I only have Torres, and I had originally planned to move him out in week two for Rooney. RVP's arrival may cause me hold fire on that trade. Instead Tevez, Suarez come in to the picture, or maybe even hold him, he will get lots of game time this season, and not every Chelski player can has that luxury.
Open Controls
-
-
I'm sure this was brought up already, but I don't understand why there would be any discrepancy between our GW1 rank and our overall rank? Surely they're one in the same at this point, no? My overall rank is actually higher, so somehow 17 people have a better GW1 score than me, but I'm higher than them overall...?
Open Controls -
The assist on Clichy will stay? how can that possible count as a assist!
Open Controls-
Because he was the last City player to have touched the ball - simple.
Open Controls
-
-
I'm thinking of putting ben arfa in, instead of michu... i think ben arfa could get more points, and hes only 1m more...
Open Controls-
Weve missed the Michu boat.
Do something else cleverer.
HBA has a Europa game on Thursday away, so maybe not himOpen Controls-
I think he will be rested mate, toon fan here, pardew is putting a weak side out on thursday, he's putting alot of the youngsters and has already stated it, i think he will be rested for chelsea. i'm still not sure michu will do great. start of the season, teams have wobbles.... don't mean hes gonna carry it on for next couple of game weeks, and ben arfa has the magic to do stuff on his own sometimes lol
Open Controls
-
-
Their fixtures are polar opposites right now and 1m is a lot. I like HBA too but he's not top priority yet.
Open Controls
-
-
Just want Torres, Ivan and Rooney to run riot in the remaining games... Would be great if Ramires plays and scores more than 6 as my first sub has 6...
Open Controls -
People who had Michu for GW1 when do we think his luck will run out? 😛
Open Controls-
It won't. He will hit double figures for goals this season IMO. I know QPR were poor, but he looks really good at finding pockets of space in and around the penalty area.
Open Controls -
in late may 2013 for a few months
Open Controls -
I don't know to be honest. I just know I'll want to puke all over myself if he gets an early goal against WHM and I didn't get him in after this much debate. Always someone I decide against in the beginning (usually a Newcastle player - Ba, Carroll, Raylor) who ends up producing every week, steadily rising.
Open Controls -
Next week when everyone who didn't have him transfers him in and everyone who benched him plays him.
Open Controls

Can one of you guys send me a link to the price rise predictions on totalfpl, cant seem to find it for some reason, thanks!

So Sahin to Arsenal looking like a done deal (and maybe Yann M'Villa too, but less certain).
I'm worried about how it could alter Cazorla's role on the pitch (the real stand out this weekend) - there's every possibility that they could play a twinned role together with Cazorla operating as the deeper of the two (and this would better match where he has played traditionally).
So I'm still not sure on who is the better pick from Arsenal. Right now until everything is confirmed it's Cazorla, I think, but with the potential for it all to be turned on it's head I'm happy to stick with my Podolski and not use up a whole bunch of transfers switching between them all until things are clear.
Arsenal is definitely where the interesting things are happening FPL-wise (because you should have got your Swansea cover sorted pre-season 😀 ).Open Controls-
Sahin Arteta
----Cazorla
Walcott Giroud Podolski
No?Open Controls -
No Sahin likes to spray passes from deep while Cazorla roams around. Santi only covered deep with Malaga sometimes because their other options were dire. You've got their histories wrong.
Open Controls -
i heard sahin isnt the sme player due to injuries
caz will stay as the main creatorOpen Controls-
You heard rubbish 😉
Open Controls

any risers 2nite??
Open Controls -
Why all the talk of rises Fiso not showing anyone near Target NTI. Michu on 42k target 170k. What am I missing ?
Open Controls-
Open Controls
-
Fiso is being accurate for the drops at the moment, they're having problems with the rises so in the mean time use:

Anyone played there Wildcard yet?
Open Controls-
Crossed my mind but will probably wait til aroung gameweek 6
Open Controls

Can't wait to have this in after GW4 with no hits taken no WC played:
DDG | Cerny
Zabaleta | Cole | Cuellar | Hughes | Clyne
Bale | Cazorla | Ramires | Michu | Puncheon
RVP | Tevez | Petric
Will just have to do Cole > Ivanovic after that.Open Controls -
Did anyone else see that dude earlier who said "I've already done Mata to Hazard, now who to ship for Michu?"
Open Controls-
Let him cut his own throat.
Open Controls -
Personally I'm slowly ditching Chelsea. Lampard definitely goes this week for an Everton midfielder. Then I might take a hit for Torres --> Rooney/RVP except that leaves me with Ivan who might not play against Newcastle if Azpilcueta arrives
Open Controls
-
-
When does skysports fantasy upload the points? This is why i hate it
Open Controls -
Team for next week
DDG
Cashley Zab Cueller
Mata Lamps Nasri Valencia
Tevez Graham Pod
Any suggestions on transfers
Had Planned on Mata > Bale....
Any other suggestions greatly appreciated?????Open Controls-
This is a REALLY good team.
Nice balance, no real holes.
Well doneOpen Controls -
Mata > Michu ... he is going up in value
Open Controls-
I have swansea coverage in the form of graham, im afraid to go into nxt gw without spurs coverage
Open Controls
-
-
Mata to Bale or Michu, putting in Michu will free up funds to upgrade strikers.
Open Controls
-
-
I'm already decided on my transfer. Ashley Cole out. But who do I get in? Already have west ham, swansea, mancity and fulham defenders. Any suggestions?
Open Controls-
-
I'm not going to remove Ashley Cole to get in Ivanovic >.>
Open Controls
-
-
Jenkins from Arsenal @ 4.5
Open Controls-
Don't trust Arsenal's defense. We'll leak in the goals soon enough. Plus difficult fixtures to come
Open Controls
-
-
Michu
Open Controls -
-
Really? That drunk, huh?
Open Controls
-
-
i think i may go for esso ek from tott.. there fixtures look alright after game week 2.
Open Controls
-
-
I'll ask again. If at Sunderland, would anyone bring in Adam Johnson?
Open Controls-
yes i would
Open Controls -
personally I think McClean best SUnderland bet so nah wouldnt go for Johnson
Open Controls -
The sensible people would wait and see him actually kick a ball for them before deciding.
Open Controls-
Have you seen his PPG at City?
He's like the Kolarov of mids.Open Controls
-
-
I would contemplate it quailty player
Open Controls -
Nope, not me.
Open Controls -
He's coming there? Straight into my team. This boy is Gold! Season Keeper!
Open Controls-
if rumours are to be believed. It's that PPG. If he gets set-pieces, he's dynamite. Great goal and assist threat
Open Controls

I transfered too early... bale for michu... Now Augero is injured haha... doh! gameweek 3 coming up, means no Chelsea and Reading (I have 4 players). that plus Augero means 5 benched players.
Guess I might as well take a 4 point hit now. Maybe Augero > Petric or Augero > Rooney
or maybe I should wait for Augeros scan :S could loose a lot of value I see already about 20k managers have got rid of him already. major headache so early onOpen Controls-
Why would you transfer out Bale?? He has some great fixtures coming up.
Open Controls-
Budget wise was between him Yaya, and Lampard.... feeling pretty stupid haha
Open Controls
-
-
You got rid of Bale?
Open Controls -
It's a blessing in some respects, it meansTevez is nailed on and less likely to rotate.....
Open Controls-
true I got tevez too, so happy about that
Open Controls
-
-
pure idiotic move that.
Open Controls
-
-
I know this has prob been asked a million times but can we expect BPs on sundays from now on??
Open Controls -
My advice in general would be not to be too rash dismantling your teams this week. It's just one week and it takes a few before things settle and you get a real idea of teams form (one week is not significant really).
By all means it is better than nothing, but no need to go drastic for a player who might do nothing next week.Open Controls -
Why is everyone planning their exit on Ivanovic?
He wont be leaving my team unless a new RB is signed and has settled in.
Fixtures are reasonable and great attacking potential.Open Controls-
are they? season keeper for me
Open Controls -
Definitely, happy to bench him for gw3, and his value will surely fly up after tonight.
Open Controls -
Azpilcueta will be signed in the next few days. Could be ready to play Newcastle but don't see him starting. I'd feel dirty having a 6.5 defender on my bench in GW3 😕
Open Controls

what's the story with siggy vs vdv? will vdv not play? 🙁
