The first gameweek of the season concludes tonight at Stamford Bridge, as Chelsea look to take an early lead at the top of the Premier League with victory over Reading. Their commitments in next week’s Super Cup brought this fixture forward, and the Dugout Discussion opens in anticipation of delightful double-gameweek points.

The team news for tonight’s encounter is in, and the sides will line-up as follows…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Cole, Lampard, Ramires, Mikel, Mata, Hazard, Torres.

Reading XI: Federici, Gunter, Pearce, Leigertwood, Harte, Karacan, McAnuff, Guthrie, Gorkss, Pogrebnyak, McCleary.

Both teams make two changes from their opening day line-ups. For the hosts, Ramires has recovered from the illness that kept him out at Wigan, with Ryan Bertrand making way, and Gary Cahill replaces the injured David Luiz. Reading replace Hal Robson-Kanu and Adam Le Fondre with Jem Karacan and Garath McCleary.

      Well torres should be first out if he doesant score because he's got the most money tied up in him (10m) and striker slots are worth the most points on average. Then probs the defender because you can get good odds on clean sheets from Utd or spurs next few GW's, Out of all of those Lamps and Hazard have the best points potential and could be worth keeping over the blank.

    If Chelsea and especially Mata/Torres don't do something in this second half, then I'm seriously thinking of wild carding early. Some people will call it knee-jerk, and I suppose I could wait until GW3, but apart from Hazard winning pens and Lampard taking pens, Chelsea have been average, even against Wigan, at the back they are like a leaking pipe, exposed by Man City. Chelsea can't do "park the bus" in the league like in the Champions League, they've got to go out and win games and they most certainly not playing for Torres, they just don't slip him in when he is in the right position.

    But like I say, if nout changes in this second half, I'm bringing in the players I thought would do good and had them before all the chopping and changing, me like a total nutter decided to go with all the popular choices, you really need to mix and match and pluck rabbits out of hats. There is no leeway or room for error in Premier League fantasy football, Sky's points seem easier to come by.
