Has a stitched Wayne Rooney made things simple? Have we already got the template attacking lineup? Certainly Robin Van Persie’s goal, coupled with the injury to Rooney that looks to have sidelined him for a month, suggests that the source of attacking points at United is settled. Unless, of course, you’re committing to the slick trickery of Shinji Kagawa over Van Persie’s pure goal power.

City’s Carlos Tevez surely has another spot up front reserved for him and, while Fernando Torres is doing his upmost to cling to our affections, Eden Hazard’s irresistible form surely means that we have a preferred route to Chelsea’s flowing attacking points.

After just two weeks, a combination of Van Persie, Tevez and Hazard appears to give the very best coverage of potentially the three most potent teams in the league.

You can argue around this – Kagawa, Samir Nasri and Torres all offer the alternatives but, right now, while these words are typed, I’m struggling to see past this new holy trinity as the most powerful combination.

Throw in Michu, Steven Pienaar or Mauroanne Fellaini – perhaps dabble with Danny Graham up front while Swansea’s fixtures remain favourable, or even Emmanuel Adebayor to cover Tottenham’s attacking threat, and the template after Gameweek 2 begins to look solid.

As we discussed in the ScoutCast this week, there will be new names emerging that will threaten to break the ideas we have now but, in all honesty, it’s difficult to see Van Persie, Tevez and Hazard being anything other than season keepers; barring injury.

It can’t really be that simple and yet the twist of fate that saw Rooney first benched and then stretchered down the tunnel, almost rubber-stamped matters. There will surely be thousands scrambling for Van Perise, even more suitors for Hazard after another bout or returns from this evening’s victory. Meanwhile, Tevez has Liverpool in his sights tomorrow with a clear run of appearances while Sergio Aguero recuperates.

If you currently sit on all three, congratulations; please fight back the smugness. If you’ve none of the above, cling to the hope that there’s naivety in these words and that these power houses will falter. Either that, or scrub up for some serious squad surgery.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Too good for Fulham? Not sure what that means. Every year most squads (not talking about you QPR... or you West Ham) have at least one player who could easily slot into a position of need at bigger-money clubs. Doesn't mean those BMCs have any entitlement to them. Or that the "smaller clubs" don't deserve them.

              Just sayin....

So let me get this straight, we expect everyone who is going to transfer Hazard in will then transfer him back out again? not likely. Also, word will not spread amongst casuals since they don't talk to each other... they will carry on bringing him in because it does not tell you on the transfer page which teams do and don't have games on next week... his price will continue to rise and there will be a bunch of very disappointed people.

Seriously, everyone who professes certainty about what will happen to his price is talking out of their ass. We don't know, people just do illogical things. What we do know is that Hazard is rising above 9.7 now. That's basically it.

Speculation is fine if it's marked as speculation, some people round here really seem to think they're qualified psychologists or something. Who probably wouldn't know what's going to happen here anyway.

Whatever people realise, he will continue to rise, as people will bring him in believing right now he's a season keeper, so worth benching GW3, still affordable, and will make them money until GW4 comes along.

Also, he will rise fast when GW4 approaches, as he'll be back on the radar again.

I've brought him in tonight. Last year I procrastinated on just this sort of transfer and lost many many points (Cisse, Ben Arfa, Jelavic, etc....) This year I'm growin a pair and going with my gut.

Should I make some changes for prices, etc...? Or should I just go to bed and wait before I knee-jerk?

    Green - Foster

    Fonte - Cole - Demel - Rangel - Hangeland

    Mata - Pienaar - Noble - Bale - Taarabt

    Torres - Tevez - Graham

For the record, I have enough dosh to do Torres to RVP so price changes won't affect this week's transfers I would assume...

Fairly confident, it seems. I would have no trouble owning both. It would have been hard to have looked as good today as last week, but that doesn't mean he looked bad. He capitalized on what he had.

Choose the player. Not the fixtures. At least not when you are talking about the top end. At the bottom end and in the back, you can play the fixtures, because in the back, your points are dependent on a team effort, but seriously if you have the money, it's RVP without second thought.

I'm dubious of that as long as Rafael is playing RB. Valencia takes too much responsibility for keeping that flank clear, compared with Rafael's free and easy attitude.

Here's my front 8 as it stands, would appreciate help with the 3 questions:

    Bale Kaca Dyer N'Zog Lampard
    RVP Graham Tevez

    a) Who is more pressing to take out (for the next weeks), N'Zog or Lampard?
    b) Is it worth taking out both for a 4 pointer and bringing in Pienaar/Michu & Kagawa?
    c) Of the two should I go Pienaar or Michu? I guess Michu could be a waste as I already have Dyer & Graham but he's going crazy atm and the price rise would be nice...

It only ever goes up 0.3 in a gw, so worst bale drops 0.1 in that time too you'll be absolutely fine. I expect hazard transfers to level out though once people realise he hasn't got a game.

    Dilemma!

I currently have Ivanovic and Torres, who I am keeping on the bench for the next game. I have already made a transfer of N’Zogbia to Ben Arfa, which I think was wise given the subsequent price drops and rises that are taking place tonight.

Anyway, my dilemma is that I now have Noble (FUL), Demel (FUL), Hangeland (whu) and Fabio (mcy)

    http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/6623/teamqg.jpg

I have to play 3 out of those 4. Don’t think there’s much value in playing Fabio so that leaves the other three, who I won’t be able to get points from unless a miracle happens.

Should I take a 4 point hit to switch Fabio in order to get a better ‘spread’ across the other games?
