    Podolski has made a few strong tough tackles this game. Finally gives them some teeth in winning the ball back (unlike Gervinho and Walcott who would avoid tackles at all cost)

    At some point, leagues need to review match tape and hand out yellows for deceit after the completion of the match. The only way to stop or slow down the diving is to penalize players for doing so. Fine them or give them yellows after matches is the only way I can think of doing it.

        Or he'd shape up. I don't see how else you clean it up. Refs are to scared to impact games with yellows during the match so they don't hand out cards for deceit. Post match would have an impact with suspensions, but wouldn't impact the game that day.

      The do this in NRL in Oz. Ref can choose to put a player 'on report' then they have a match review panel who can check out video footage and hand out bans..... Works well, and adds a bit of drama
