Our Members Area now includes updated projections for the remaining matches of the season as a whole and the next six Gameweeks.

Although these were originally devised as pre-season projections, we’ve worked with Chris Atkinson’s Rate My Team model to ensure that we keep them ticking over and have been updating on a weekly basis. We’ll endeavour to keep that up, although our current aim is to implement the full Rate My Team functionality – work continues on that behind the scenes, with the aim to have RMT delivered to our Members for their January Wildcards.

Just to stress that the projections listed are to cover the remaining matches eg: if a player is listed as scoring 10 goals, these are in addition to the goals he may have scored up to Gameweek 4.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'm on WC like many are. Not seen Jelavic in many teams.

Next 6 are NEW swa SOT wig qpr LIV

Think I might try and squeeze in a Baines + Jelly combo.

    Thoughts?

Not on WC, but I'm planning for Baines GW6, and then a switch to Vermaelen perhaps down the line.

I like Jelavic but the 3 forward positions can be used better without having him and Baines or Pienaar is ideal for Everton cover.

Ticker & Comparison tool are handy, projections are just a rough guide to what you might get from a set of fixtures from certain players. Half price membership was well worth it, not sure if it's gone back up.

    REPOST at a busier time.

Right, just a fun game to fill the international break. Pick 11 players (no subs) for the Moldova v England match. Normal FPL formations and scoring. No bonus points. Goals/assists decided by Press Association or me if they say nothing.

Yes I’m not kidding you can pick Moldovan players. That’s what extreme valour is all about.

Enter your team before 6pm Friday – guessing the lineup is part of the challenge. Scores to be posted the night of the game.

    ENGLAND

    GK: Hart, Butland, Ruddy
DEF: Baines, Bertrand, Cahill, Jagielka, Johnson, Lescott, Terry, Walker
MID: Carrick, Cleverley, Ox, Gerrard, Lampard, Milner, Walcott
    FWD: Defoe, Sturridge, Welbeck

MOLDOVA (no squad posted due to the country not having internet, have used recent callup list off Wikipedia)

    GK: Calancea, Matyugin
DEF: Epureanu, Armas, Bordian, Bolohan, Cascaval, Cheltuiala, Boret, Savinov
MID: Gatcan, Zmeu, Onica, Cojocari, Andronic, Suvorov, Cheptine, Gheorghiev

No hit to get Hazard when Bale plays Reading next. I would keep the FT so you have 2 the following week and can put it to better use. I plan on downgrading Zabaleta + Ivanovic over the next 2-3 weeks for the likes of Saylor/Ridgewell and using the money elsewhere but Cole + Zaba are fine for you atm.

Your team isn't very far from a lot of proposed WC teams. And you've missed a lot of the easy price rises so you haven't got that reason either, if that's your bag.

DDG is obviously less nailed on than a lot of people hoped, Zab will probably start getting risky soon and it's anyone's guess whether Bale will start firing but they can all be addressed a week at a time.

wc would be a massive waste if you played it now. You're squad is good. No player that needs to come out right away and you can easily make the right improvements over a few gw's.

I don't see why it would have a significant impact on templates. I think the watchlist contributes far more to that than price rise info ever could.

It's not like we don't already have access to price rise info. It would just be bringing the same info here.

That boat has pretty much sailed with what's already out there methinks, the extra wc ensuring it stays afloat for the whole season. Depends what remains exclusive to members too tho I guess, s'pose the site can't really monopolise what totalfpl & fiso have at the mo and have it as members only information. Shame 😛

That is a good point, why didn't I think of that? Perhaps because I'm not the messiah. But yes, it should.

Mark if you're listening and interested in adding this, a great addition to the totalFPL interface for price rises would be a projected date of rise/fall.

There are already dozens of sites that talk about fantasy football. The point is that this place, especially for paying members, is aiming to be the place with the most comprehensive coverage. Price rises are a strange omission.

Again, the point is for the site to become a comprehensive resource for FPL. There are other sites that have advice and you could argue that it would be easier for them to point to there.

Another benefit would be bringing the superior UI design of FFS to bear on the problem. In my opinion FISO and totalFPL are a rather lacking in usability and neither incorporate what I suggested above - projected dates of price change, which would be very useful, particularly for WC cash-cowing (though admittedly that's not a regular thing to do).

Looking at building my WC defense and using the comparison tool to analyse players is proving very interesting.

One player that stands out is Boyce (WGN) whose high key stats and threat in the final 3rd is very impressive. Compare him with Gibbs (ARL) for example, who I'm also considering, and Boyce beats him hands down.

I know stats arent everything, but his are noteworthy and if Wigan continue 3-5-2 he is going in my team as a season keeper.

With clean sheets sho hard to come by/predict, defenders like Boyce give you so much more in the final 3rd.

Definites for my WC defense so far:

            Baines Boyce Cuellar Demel

May go with Staylor for the final slot, but NEW recent injuries worry me. Couuld also go with Williams, but they too have lost players...

If you are going to be thinking of Boyce as almost a play every week defender, I wouldnt bother spending 5 on the slot.

Cuellar/Demel rotate not bad at all, so try and get a 4.5er that can cover Boyce, perhaps Hughes IMO

Best use for the projections, IMO, is choosing who to bench each week.

Ben Afra. Means going for Dyer over Michu which isn't too bad. Bale was a slow starter last season aswell and then he exploded.

I can easily see myself being dragged into keeping him again. Would lose more value but be able to do two transfers and get Hazard next week, this week it'd have to be Cazorla. But Cazorla should be better value than Haz at this point...

      Looks really good.

I wouldn't personally get two heavyweight mids to rotate. You never know who's going to be in the points.

Get Guthrie as a 5th choice mid. Other than that, looks very solid.

I have thought about that, but i hate the idea of tipping 4.5m down the drain. And that 0.5 gives so much more points potential and back-up for surprise injuries.

It's not down the drain though.

Guthrie plays in the hole and will pick up solid consistent points.

That money is important for your starting XI.

I know some people have a different approach to FPL than I do, but in my opinion, getting 4.0s and 4.5s is important to fuel the rest of your team. The good thing is, you can get some pretty decent players at those prices too if you're vigilant.

3 of our back 5 and a striker could be different too, still undecided on getting Arsenal at back for now or save something. I want to see if Ramirez will steal Lambert's points in a Michu-esqe manner so keeping Graham for now.

Really nice FPL side. I would prefer a wba double up than Boyce at £5m though. Bigger points potential with the likes of Ridgewell and McAuley and you can get a wigan defender for £4.5m

There doesn't seem to be. Although they are saying, for some unknown reason, that manager substitutions are brand new for this season.

It suprises me too. If your team is sh1te and/or your strategy is to maximise team value then fair enough, but its way too early imo. I fear a lot of knee jerkers will come to regret doing it.

I'm saving mine, but it's not such a bad idea to use it now really. Last season I used mine after the January wildcard and only made 5 changes, which is a bit of a waste really.

I personally think at this stage you have a good idea of the ideal team, and it is vital to get set-up with that team as soon as possible to hoover up points and value. I have never found a wildcard particularly useful later in the season as we all have pretty much have the ideal template by then and so the changes are less significant. On the other hand, if your team has few problems now there is no point, mine however, had a few too many.

Your template should make it easy to switch in form players. And we pretty much know how they're all set up. Like i said if your team doesn't have many issues it is better to save it. The gw7 international break is a great time.

Thats a fair point, and also it is easy to get in a right mess with a WC if you are not careful, and after the debacle of my January WC (the GW26 horrorshow!) my approach is if it ain't broken don't try fixing it.

First season of UCL; like the idea of Individual Matchday winners getting a PS3.

Underwhelmed by the "grand" prize though - I was half expecting it to be a bit grander!! Still I'm an Xbox boy so maybe a bit bias.

Any good tips for a UCL noob?

Make sure both your keepers play on different matchdays, and you have a decent captain choice on each matchday.

Also, players like Lampard and Pirlo will not only benefit from attacking returns but defensive returns, with the recovered balls rule.

    Individual Matchday winners-
The player with the most points after the round will win a PlayStation 3.

Round winners (Round of 16, quarter-final, semi-final and final)-

    Jaaskelainen – Begovic
    Baines – Demal – Hughes – Cuellar - Clyne/other4mil
Hazard – Michu – Cazorla – Ben Arfa – Guthrie
    Tevez – RVP – Fletcher

What do we think? Guthrie will be benched most weeks, backline is cheap apart from Baines but are likely to pick up cleansheets along the way
