Gameweek four concludes tonight at Goodison Park, as Everton play host to Newcastle United. The Dugout Discussion opens to see two sides with high ambitions for the season tussle it out. The team news is in and is as follows…

Everton XI: Howard, Hibbert, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Mirallas, Neville, Osman, Pienaar, Fellaini, Jelavic.

Newcastle XI: Harper, Perch, Williamson, S Taylor, Santon, Anita, Cabaye, Gutierrez, Marveaux, Ben Arfa, Cisse.

David Moyes makes two changes from the side that suffered defeat at the hands of West Brom in matchday three, with Tony Hibbert and Kevin Mirallas starting in place of Darron Gibson and Steven Naismith.

As for the visitors, Steve Harper replaces the injured Tim Krul, and James Perch and Mike Williamson patch up the defence in the absence of Danny Simpson and Fabricio Coloccini. Slyvain Marveaux is a surprise inclusion, as Demba Ba drops to the bench.

    How close was this Ba header?

    Attempt missed. Demba Ba (Newcastle United) header from the centre of the box misses to the right. Assisted by Hatem Ben Arfa.

      Last game Ba had 5 shots at goal, 3 on target. He's been the focal point of the attack all season, just not had many returns.

        Cos as we have seen, players WILL get rested for Europe

        I have brought in Berba as I needed the funds, and am happy with it, but if I was looking for an alternative Ba would be at the top of the list.

        Plus he has no ACON this year as I recall, don't think Senegal qualified

    on the upside at least Ba scored before 60 mins so those Baines CS points never got added only to be removed later. Every cloud and all that

      UCL add on all the cleanies right at the start. It's annoying to see your clean sheet points ebbing away throughout the match.

        yeah that is by far the most annoying aspect of that game. They didn't do it in the Euros I think. Would hope they remove it.

        B is probably the best option for balance, but Graham has such tasty fixtures and Kagawa could do well.. C Gives me a viable captaincy option as well I guess. Aaah decisions!!
