Sunday Dugout Discussion – Gameweek 5

A huge day of Premier League action sees eight sides do battle, with the ‘Super Sunday’ billing fully justified. The Dugout Discussion opens in time for the first of two televised games – the small matter of Liverpool versus Manchester United.

Despite a lot of the pre-game media attention understandably focusing on events off the field, three points for either side here will be massive. Here’s how the sides line-up…

Liverpool XI: Reina, Kelly, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Gerrard, Allen, Shelvey, Borini, Suarez, Sterling.

Man United XI: Lindegaard, Da Silva, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Carrick, Giggs, Valencia, Kagawa, Nani, van Persie.

Straight after the game at Anfield, we head over to the Etihad Stadium to see the other Manchester club host Arsenal.

In and amongst those two fixtures, Newcastle United welcome the visit of Norwich City, and Queens Park Rangers take the small journey to their city rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

        They outplayed a lot of teams this season but they can't seem translate this into goals. They don't appear to be buying into the whole, 'keep it on the carpet' beliefs of Rodgers. He should make rules; no one on the team other than Gerrard should be allowed to cross a ball over 3ft high.

        As a neutral watcher I must say that Pool was robbed. Red card was ok, but not giving penalty on Suarez and giving on Valencia is a crime. Even Valencia was surprised when he got it.

    United getting very lucky there. That said superb performance from Rio and Rafael is get better.
    Liverpool have looked good this season, despite popular opinion.
    Suarez needs some lessons from Fletch.

    I know they are reviewing but was it ridgewell or long that knocked it down for lukakus goal, I just saw the vid on 101 great goals and couldnt tell but i remember sky saying ridgewell and others say long. How did they give it to brunt in the first place? I have both pienaar and ridgewell.
