Federici Foster Ridgwell (got it instead lescott just now) Demel Baines Cuellar Clyne, Fellaini (got it instead mcclean) Hazard michu guthriel, yaya, tevez, dimitar and robin
suggestions?
Maybe is time to dump tevez for fletcher or aguero?
0.8 in the bank.Open Controls -
Quite amused to see everyone getting Hazard out, I hope he gets a blank this week, so that more people get him out, and scores double figure points the follow week, that'd be mental! 😀
Open Controls-
Yeah, and the whole tevez thing too. 3,900 have transferred him out after being put on the bench today
Open Controls-
Slightly understandable though. He will be a rotation risk, and City's upcoming fixtures aren't great - the "favourable" home games come in close proximity to CL games.
He isn't in my wildcard team.Open Controls-
I still think he's a keeper. He's the only in-form striker that Mancini has atm, and he won't be benching him 2 games in a row, but that's probably short term.

Pick 2 from these lot to start at the back next week (Jussi in goal)
Jenkinson(CHE)
Demel(qpr)
Davies(stk)

Good WC team?
Foster Begovic
Ivanovic Baines Gorkks Gibbs Cuellar
Nolan SantiC Ben Arfa Michu Pienaar
RVP Lambert Berbatov
What do you think?Open Controls-
I like my teams with a cheapie mid more. You shouldn't really play him anyway with three studs in the forward line.
Open Controls-
+1. Downgrade Nolan/Michu

Need some Man City cover in attack or mid
Open Controls -
i don't mind these benching headaches and even the lost bench points. everyone above me seems to. i prefer all my attackers to be strong options. if one of your important players gets injured you automatically have a strong replacement. might save on transfers. be lookin to save up a freebie next week. as it'll leave you so much more flexible. to that end make sure to have a squad that looks as strong for next week as it does this

Will Cuellar definitely not be back for the next game?

Cheers. I just did some digging and it looks like he's out for the next 2 unfortunately.

Wish arsenal had form like this:
"Real's Bernabeu record:
If Manchester City had held on to win at the Bernabeu, it would have been the first time in Real Madrid's history that the nine-times European Cup champions had fallen to defeat in their first home match of the competition, a record now consisting of 41 wins and two draws, the most recent of which came against Anderlecht, exactly 50 years ago"Open Controls -
Which is the better combo:
A) Vidic + Morrison/Nolan/6.4 MF
B) HBA + Cuellar (injured) + 1.1 bankedOpen Controls-
B imo

Lescott and Lallana OUT
Baines and Kaca/Maloney IN ? ?
Fora -4pthit btw ...Open Controls -
Tevez -> Fletcher
Ivanovic -> Baines
-4 pts hit!!
Yay or Nay?Open Controls -
It's probably been discussed, but with Lambert, Ba, Berbatov, Fletcher etc. all seeming to be reliable mid-price striker options, is it really worth forking out so much more on RVP?
The positives are that he's a much safer captain choice - if only for piece of mind! - and the money has to be spent somewhere... Expensive midfielders aren't tearing up any trees at the moment.Open Controls-
As you say: it's about consistency and reliability. RVP scored at Anfield on a day that they were as pumped as they'll likely get all season.
Open Controls-
Only thanks to a dubious penalty though! He was fairly uninvolved throughout the majority of the game.
Pretty sure I will stick with RVP - on a wildcard at the moment. United's fixtures being slightly indifferent over the coming weeks is a positive as far as I'm concerned, means RVP is less likely to be rested.Open Controls-
Meh - we're talking FPL returns here. RVP went to Anfield and came back with a goal. His involvement says a lot more about the United midfield than it does about him/his form.
Open Controls
-
-
-
Don't think all the mid price options can continue to score so well, after a few weeks some will fall away whereas RVP will score more consistently and more explosively all season.
Open Controls-
I'm sure you're right, but RVP is pretty much twice the price of half these players! He has to do a lot to make him "value for money". Granted he's doing that, just about, at the moment, but he's not going to score in every game either.
Open Controls
-
-
Im still keeping RVP/Tevez. Main men for the top sides and will get you points and like you said, almost always a captains choice at home. But theres definitely room to wiggle at this stage
Open Controls -
Really don't think you need him until Gameweek 11. Only really the Stoke game stands out for me before that and i think he will be rotated because of the champs league. plus as you said there's really good options in the forward slots cheaper until you really need RVP.
Open Controls-
But like I said above, out of the next few fixtures only Stoke (H) looks like a game that he could conceivably be rested for. United aren't playing particularly well at the moment, so I'm sure Fergie will want his best players playing the majority of the time.
Rooney could confuse matters, though.Open Controls-
i don't think Rooney will cut into RVP playing time he's more than likely going to push Kagawa onto the bench. Am going without RVP at the moment and to be honest it sort of in the back of your mind he can go ballistic. The risk i will have to take 🙂 As for the armband, i can see better options for the next few weeks ....well i think i can ...hopefully ..finger crossed...
Open Controls
-
-
you don't rate bale then? 😉
Open Controls -
I'm more than happy to have him, the key though is that SAF plays him in the home fixtures, a lot of sides al eg Reading, and Norwich already look very vulnerable, he has the quality to score heavily.
Open Controls-
The main issue is how Rooney fits into everything, and to be honest, I don't really have a clue!
Open Controls-
Neither do I, not convinced an attacking midfield role would make sense. RVP was starved of possession today, Uniteds build up play was poor and often too slow. My feeling is that if he was playing in the present Arsenal side he would be scoring for fun.
Open Controls-
am convinced

I have argued this point a few times before as a non Rvp owner. In summary, if you think RVP will get more then 30 starts in the league this season he is probably worth it. I think he will come in around the 30 mark as I can't see the other strikers not getting game time. Yet to see how he and Rooney work in the same team.
But I could be wrong and am willing to get RVP. So far i'm doing okay without, but early days.Open Controls-
There's a definite case for and against having RVP. To be honest, 6 points per game isn't really good enough to justify his price tag. Issue is that if you don't have him, you have to use the money created [by not having him] well!
Open Controls-
Last year RVP averaged around 7.5 points per 90 played. Think he played pretty much every game iirc. The less time on the pitch, the less points over the course of a season. Or at least that is my rationale, he does have a higher upside now though with better players around him.
I am investing the money elsewhere (surely, but slowly) and have a WC to fallback if things change. But for now, going without is a risk that is paying off adequately over the template teams.Open Controls

-

If you're not too bothered about Tevez, RVP + 2 of those mid-price strikers seems like a good plan to me.

Never again!

i'm quite happy and i'm 67,000. thought i was doing worseOpen Controls-
Too happy. I'm 812 with a green arrow this week.

you need to get bale in your team. he hasnt done anything special yet and he has just got 11 and 8 points. he's a baps magnet as well as baines

Current rank means pretty much naff all. I was over 1 millionth this time last season. Finished just outside 3,000 (was inside top 100 but had a disastrous final 3 weeks).
This is the play time of the season, where luck plays its most.Open Controls -

Ivanovic & Zab > Baines & Kos worth a 4 point hit?
Can't afford Gibbs. Would love some advice.Open Controls -
Bang for your buck...
best front 3?
Tevez Berbatov Fletcher.
Best midfield?
Barfa Mitchu Fellaini Yaya SterlingOpen Controls -
My wild card basically comes to down to:
Aguero/Tevez/RVP
Ba/Fletcher/Berbatov
Hazard/Cazorla
Fellaini/Pienaar
Gibbs/Rafael/Skrtel
keep HBA?
Bale?
It's so hard to choose what team to go forward with...Open Controls -
Had Baines captain this weekend, hard to believe I could be doing that again next week..Southampton looks very tasty..atleast 10pts up for grabs there I'd say.. 🙂
Open Controls-
You fancy a CS against a team scoring lots of goals? Thats pretty bold.
Open Controls-
yeah true but i'd say alot of ppl were not expecting everton too keep a CS vs swansea..
Open Controls-
This is true, but Soton are really fluent and gung-ho in attack. I would never ever captain a defender anyway, just too risky. Concede one goal and youre basically done for

Am I mad for having the armband on Santi for next week?

Michu Santi(c) Hazard Bale (Sterling)
RVP Tevez Berba

Play Foster or Begovis for this week?
Open Controls-
Begovic is more likely to get a CS imo.

heyup, im looking for a replacement for Cuellar, have a 5.2 to spend on a defender, McAuley the best option (already have Foster)?
Open Controls -
Used my FT on Zaba > Baines but resigned to either a 4 pointer or WC. Still have a lot of players I'd like to take out - Federici, Hughes, Dyer, Graham, Saylor & maybe Clyne too. Should I:
a) Graham > Fletcher (4 point hit)
b) Dyer > Pienaar (4 point hit)
c) WilcardOpen Controls -
Would really like some last second advice on this one guys. About to make the move.
I'm doing:
Cuellar -> Baines and Hazard -> Sterling
and then next week I'm thinking of doing Maloney -> Michu
Thoughts?Open Controls-

Yup, all are free. My only worry is that Hazard might go mental against Norwich, but he looked very poor this weekend. Also Marin is coming back and Oscar and Mata seem to be building form. Thanks for the reply!
