The recent rise of Marouane Fellaini has presented the latest forceful bandwagon for Fantasy managers. Huge acquisition levels in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game this week has seen the Belgian’s price rise from 6.9 to 7.2, and this from an initial valuation of 6.5 at the start of the campaign.

Felliani’s merits are hard to ignore – three goals and an assist in his opening five fixtures are numbers compounded by a new role playing in support of Everton’s central striker. The 6 foot four inch unit has taken to it with ease, using his size to rattle defences and his unerring ability to chest trap a long flighted pass to provide a platform for waves of Everton attacks. He’s often been described as “unplayable”.

And yet, David Moyes’ men are awash with form players and talent right now. Not least in midfield where Steven Pienaar’s dazzling quick feet and sharp mind are weaving patterns that have had defences on the back foot. He’s also enjoyed a superb start to the campaign with a goal and three assists to his name. In any other team, Pienaar, with his mid-price value of 6.7 in the FPL, would be a shoo-in. Fellaini’s rise has dented the appeal of the South African playmaker – with their see-sawing form looking to have finally settled the way of the Belgian, it’s been Fellaini that has attracted all the recent transfer attention.

Are we dismissing Pienaar too lightly? Perhaps his form actually warrants doubling up on Everton’s midfield assets given the fixtures that lie ahead? We look to answer these and other questions in this latest article for our members, in which we rummage around in the statistics so far, to analyse the best approach to Everton’s current embarrassment of riches.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Hi,

A lot of talk about Tevez to Suarez but Im thinking of keeping Tevez and swapping Valancia to Sterling (depending on injury news)

Is Sterling good Liverpool cover for thier next three, seems to be quite lively and favoured.

Puts me in strange position of no United cover and three sub 5mil mids!

only way I can get Baines in is by taking a 4 pt hit and removing hazard, tevez from my team or to sub out another defender instead of hazard or baines.

Not sure if getting rid of hazard or tevez is worth it to be honest

hi everyone.I need some help.I don't know who to bench this week.

I want to play Baines(C) and my front 8 is:

    Pienaar,Michu,HBA,Fellani,Hazard,RVP,Tevez and Lambert...

My first choice is Michu because Stoke away is always a hard game for everyone...but if I'll do it and play Lambert what if he will score against Everton...
so my problem is: stick with Baines(C) and bench Lambert or change my captain and play Lambert???thanks guys for any advice...

Yeah well the doctors will always tell you the safest possible recovery time as they know we idiots will always start doing it earlier. But as this is your first one, 3 weeks could be the cure, it will be less painful the next time and less recovery time(in case of a simple sprain)

But as you have no cast you may feel no pain earlier, but at least 2 weeks out is guaranteed IMO.

Right being a very busy week, so 1st chance to touch base here. I have a man called Cashley, much loved. I have the cash to switch to Baines if I do it tonight before his rise for a 4 point hit.

Baines seems like everyone's long lost love childs here, I see the attractiveness but is it really worth the hit? Despite my predication's, Chelsea are keeping it tight.

Meaning this in the nicest way ;-), sometimes the community goes nuts over a player to the extent you can be swept away into the herd. Baines and Everton have good form and nice fixtures for the next 8, but worth taking a hit and shipping out Cashley?

P.s I have Fellaini as Everton coverage and could easily bring in Pienaar if I wish at anytime. Joys of being cash heavy due to not owning RVP 😀

Chelsea have kept it tight so far, I have two Gunners so I hope they do get bent over! But looking at it, they could get a CS against Nor, Swansea and Liverpool in the next few games despite the look of those games on paper..

yeh im not gettin rid of ivan yet either, assuming his form continues

i did get swept up by the herd tho and did verm to baines since verm hasnt been returning enough on my investment with respect to baines so swap felt right given form and fixtures

Ive taken the hit for Baines. My defence has been poor for the last two weeks so the change is needed. Everton have good form and fixtures so why not.

Surely depends on who you are switching out or the opportunity cost (ahoy fancy term) as well. Could be a good move for you depending on the switch, but is switching out Cashley a good move for me? 🙂

Already used my free and a substantial amount of cash this week to do Fellaini in for Allen. Still have some money in the bank, but not enough for that move 🙂

Yes, make some bloody transfers! You must have two saved up seeing as you haven't made any.

Get Vidic out for starters and dump Tevez after his 120 mins midweek for someone likely to start and play the full game

Apparently Steven Gerrard has almost identical stats to Hazard so far, bar assists, but more game time played.

Surprising. Nailed on option as well and on set pieces. A rare combination among the big hitters at the moment. Would have never thought it, just saw it on Chris Glover's blog (sorry, no original thought here on this one!).

If you have Cazorla already and believe Liverpool can improve, he might not be a bad shout as the 2nd big mid for the fixtures Liverpool have. Although saying that, id probably go with a "safer" Silva who is also a bit of a deferential at the moment.

Both have had 13 shots, 2 on target, 1 goal. Gerrard has created 13 chances, to Hazards 11. Or so the interwebs tells me.

Basically positive stats, bar the usual Liverpool finishing problems which screws all statistical analysis.

But, if you believe Liverpool can score goals with the favourable fixtures, he might not be the worst port of call as he will play more mins then most other big hitters and has all set pieces in the bag.

Drafting in Pool players has done nothing but burn me, except Saurez's magical effort in a DGW last season.

Also to your other post about cashley -> baines. I wouldnt do it if thats your only option.
