After Saturday’s feast of action, we’ve just a paltry single encounter to pour over today. However, it’s a feisty Black Country derby between Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion. The Dugout Discussion is open, and the team news from Villa Park is in, and is as follows…

Aston Villa XI: Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Bennett, El Ahmadi, Delph, Albrighton, Holman, Agbonlahor, Benteke.

West Brom XI: Foster, Jones, McAuley, Olsson, Popov, Mulumbu, Yacob, Gera, Morrison, Brunt, Long.

Darren Bent is the surprise omission from Paul Lambert’s side, with the England striker relegated to the bench. Albion’s Macedonian defender Goran Popov gets his first league start, and Chris Brunt and Shane Long are back in the side after missing the midweek Capital One Cup tie.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is the place to follow all the drama, and it can be accessed right here.

What would you lads think to this WC team?

    Foster; Begovic
    Baines; Gibbs; Rafael; Hughes; Demel
Bale; Cazorla; Ben Arfa; Pienaar; Walters
    Suarez; Ba; Fletcher

Having Rafael in that defence isn't ideal at the moment, so if you have any suggestions about what to do with him then that would be great!

I think Rafael is fine. I would downgrade Barfa to Sterling and move Suarez to Aguero. Or Barfa to Sterling and Walters to Silva. City have good fixtures and Barfa is not the best option IMO, especially if you already have Ba.

    Hey folks

I have 1 FT and £4.7 in the bank.

    What to do?
Was thinking Yaya to Bale, and RVP to Suarez for a -4?

    Foster, Begovic

    Baines, Davies, Demel, Cuellar, Gorkks

Fellaini, Cazorla, Michu, Yaya Toure, Guthrie

    Ba, RVP, Fletcher

    Thank you

How's it look for next week? Bit of a conundrum on who to bench for Yaya - really wanna play him at home to Sunderland.

    Foster

    Baines - Davies - Gallas

    Gervinho - Sterling - Fellaini - Morrison

    RVP - Torres - Tevez

    Subs: Jaaskelainen. Yaya. Rafael. Perch

That provably IS the connection, saw that too! I believe AB said FPL gets its match data from the same live text commentary source as BBC - PA?

Anyone considering Caulker now that he seems to be playing. He looks a good threat at set pieces and I reckon SPurs could start picking up some CSs soon. I am sure he is guaranteed starts until Assou Ekotto is back, and by then, I could see Gallas dropping out.

The only thing putting me off is Vertonghen. He looks an awesome FPL prospect but him and Baines is a big chunk of cash.

Absolutely no chance Gallas drops out. He was a beast yesterday and is their captain.
I have Gallas fwiw, but I am selling soon - Spurs just aren't keeping clean sheets.

The problem is I wouldn't say he's guaranteed even until BAE comes back because AVB may prefer to play Naughton @ left back and get Vertonghen back in the middle. Probably too much risk for me...

Not sure whether to whack out the wildcard or hang on for one more week.

    Foster, Federice

I wouldn't play a WC - Federice needs to go but there's no urgency with Foster your #1. Graham wants shipping out and maybe Maloney and Bennet, but you can do one a week.

      No need for WC imo.
You just have 2 budget players who you definitely should ditch as soon as possible but the team in general is not so bad that you should WC it.

    Schwarzer (Mignolet)

    Gervinho, Fellaini, Cazorla, Hazzard/Bale (Maloney)
    Ba, Fletcher, Aguero
