After Saturday’s feast of action, we’ve just a paltry single encounter to pour over today. However, it’s a feisty Black Country derby between Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion. The Dugout Discussion is open, and the team news from Villa Park is in, and is as follows…

Aston Villa XI: Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Bennett, El Ahmadi, Delph, Albrighton, Holman, Agbonlahor, Benteke.

West Brom XI: Foster, Jones, McAuley, Olsson, Popov, Mulumbu, Yacob, Gera, Morrison, Brunt, Long.

Darren Bent is the surprise omission from Paul Lambert’s side, with the England striker relegated to the bench. Albion’s Macedonian defender Goran Popov gets his first league start, and Chris Brunt and Shane Long are back in the side after missing the midweek Capital One Cup tie.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is the place to follow all the drama, and it can be accessed right here.

Opinions on Tevez and RVP to Aguero and Suarez?

I’d rather keep RVP as I think he’ll do well but it at least swaps to 2 first choice stikers and just doing Tevez -> Suarez would leave me without any City cover?

tevez gone and i've kept RVP currently without any city coverage but only for 3 weeks while suarez as some decent fixtures will try to get aguero later on

My word, Snodgrass has some awesome stats. He's among only 3 players (the others being Bale and Cazorla) who rank high for both creativity and threat - He creates loads of chance and takes plenty of shots.

Such a shame he plays for Norwich...

Defoe has good fixtures so he's a good shout. Maybe Lambert as he's on pens and their fixtures are gonna be much better from now on. Then obv switch who ever you get to Berba when he's fit.

Germany have not been beaten in a world cup qualifier away from home, a record stretching back to 1934 😯
I assume they mean West Germany pre reunification.

Germany have never lost an away World Cup qualifier - they didn't lose in 1934 either, when they stuffed Luxembourg 9-1 away in their only match. Mind you, this only works if you consider Germany to be *West* Germany. (East Germany, i.e. the former GDR, lost loads of times away in WC qualifiers.)

It's very impressive, even if you remember that Germany qualified without kicking a ball several times either as hosts or defending champions.

    Rate my WC team please

    Schwarzer (Mignolet) .
    McAuley, Gibbs, Baines (Demel, Gorkss)
    Gervinho, Fellaini, Cazorla, Hazzard/Bale (Maloney)
    Ba, Fletcher, Aguero

also anyone look set for a double price rise?

btw I havent confirmed the WC yet – I was just seeing what the team would look like without Tevez

    Thank you
