Last week’s big treble didn’t quite pay off as we fell shy of the target on two legs out of the three. The £100 payout seemed good value as free-scoring Everton netted three and a besieging United bagged two but, alas there were no quails eggs and Champagne for us; we’ll just have to settle for a can of Stella and a Ginsters instead. Or maybe a couple of cans, as, true to our word, last week’s banker came good and put some cash back in our pocket. Steven Fletcher netted again, maintaining his record as Sunderland’s only scorer, winning us our stake money back with a quid to spare. Still in profit, then, let’s see what Paddy have for us this week…

League leaders Chelsea have looked a step above the rest ever since taking home the Champions League trophy at the end of last season. Fernando Torres is doing just enough up front, new boys Oscar and Victor Moses have shown glimpses of potential to justify their lofty price tags, and future world-beater Eden Hazard has racked up six assists in as many games. Okay, so the Belgian has gone off the boil but, with Norwich at the Bridge, fresh from a Carrow Road spanking at the hands of Liverpool, we fancy Hazard to enjoy a renaissance. Paddy are offering 5/2 on a Hazard goal with a Chelsea clean sheet and we’re staking our first £4 on this.

Gareth Bale was a little slow to settle amongst the new summer signings at The Lane, barely making a mark on the first three games. Since then he’s netted twice, forged three assists and helped himself to three Fantasy Premier League maximum bonus hauls in a row. With a favourable home fixture against visiting Aston Villa, a Bale goal with a Spurs cleanie at 4/1 is a worthy shout, and we’re willing to wager a couple of quid.

Swansea have been quite the opposite from Spurs, with goals and glory early on in their campaign, but have since suffered three straight losses leading up to their Liberty Stadium bout against Reading. Michu was pivotal to their early success and will be looking to reopen his goalscoring account again on Saturday. Having netted four quickfire goals to attract early Fantasy investment, Paddy’s price of 9/2 on a Michu goal and Swansea cleanie seems a worthy punt. £2 on brings us back the same return as last weeks banker.

Our Goal-Assist-Cleanie treble this week is a shade shorter than our last effort, but the probability is much more in our favour. Robin Van Persie features again to make a mark in his trip to Newcastle, alongside Eden Hazard to gain an assist against Norwich and title holders Man City to keep their first clean-sheet of the season against the Black Cats. Van Persie might well be the Achilles heel here again, with Newcastle having won to nil once at the Sports Direct Arena so far this season already. This treble is offered at 15/2 and might not be tempting enough for some, but with £1 to spare we’re gonna let it ride.

Presume there's quite a few who will WC this week?

Also, anyone know the total number of players in the Sky Game. Been wondering this for a while now.
