A decidedly tepid Gameweek which saw the big guns misfire. Oliver Giroud at last made an impression, Santi Cazorla boosted his reputation, while two of the “template squad” were rejuvenated as Eden Hazard and Michu delivered. Our members can hoover up all the data from the weekend action and, as usual, we’ve picked up the numbers that have caught our eye so far…
On a WC... people think Baines should be in a WC team no matter what?
Open ControlsIf you have not had yet then I would not bother now
Open ControlsNot if he's crocked, but judging by the way he looked yesterday. I'd say yes.
Open Controlsyeah, pretty much
Open ControlsI wildcarded with the sole intention of getting Baines.
Open Controls
Any better options than to save the transfer this week?
Jaask
Baines, Hughes, Cuellar
Bale, Barfa, Michu, Pienaar
RVP, Tevez, Suarez
Federici, McCartney, Guthrie, Clyne
Bank 0.5m, 1 freebieOpen ControlsCheers. Slightly worried I have no Arsenal cover for Norwich though. Can't see any easy (and justifiable) way to get Santi in this week though. If RVP gets banned then I guess Guthrie & RVP -> Santi & Ba/Berbs could be worth a hit!

Another red arrow 4th in a row. Can anyone explain what's goin on?'
Schwarzer II Ruddy
Baines II Ridgewell II Demel II Clyne II Harte
Hazard II Piennar II Michu II Yaya II Maloney
RVP II Tevez II Lambert
1 FT, 0.4 million in the bankOpen ControlsThoughts anyone?
Open Controls
"Tepid week?" "Big guns misfire?" Errrr... nope.
Open ControlsYou link needs a-fixing
Open Controls
Krul (Begovic)
Rangel Baines Demel (Cuellar Boyce)
Bale Mata HBA Michu (Sterling)
RVP Berbatov Ba
Need to strengthen my defence, only the 1ft and £0.1m in bank.
Probably save this week and Boyce> Rafael/Evans along with a transfer to free the extra funds.
Any ideas?Open ControlsRepost from earlier on, just want to get this done before i go to sleep!
Which forward combination is the best? Any advice is appreciated!
A) RVP & Tevez
B) RVP & Jelavic
C) Tevez & Jelavic
D) Aguero & Jelavic
E) Aguero & Tevez
F) Any other one?
Thanks 😀Open ControlsToo much information...like this comment it should have been abbreviated.
(FYI...I should have said TMI)Open Controlsi Personally think the the best strikers are going to be rvp/aguero (its very hard to tell at the moment who edges it), Jelavic and Berbatov

Oh dear. Moved down to 7th from 1st in my mini-league this week.
Friedel, Federici
Baines, A.Cole, Hangelaand, Cuellar, Demel
Bale, Fellaini, Guthrie, Noble, Maloney
RvP, Tevez, Berbatov
2FT with 1.8 in the bank. No idea what to do.Open ControlsWhat? Did you forget to turn up this week? How tight is the league?
Open ControlsKind of. I was just busy on the weekend and forgot to do any transfers. It leaves me with an extra transfer to get rid of Friedel now he's not starting though. 42 points below 1st place after this rubbish gameweek, i was 3 points clear last week.
Open Controls
Take a week long break to think about it imo. Wait for all internationals to be over, check for REAL injuries, and decide then.
May be worth a look at the season ticker and a few stats in the FPL site.Open Controlsfix your mids

Thanks for the feedback about dempsey. looks like i will put him in my squad. the question is aguero or rvp
Open ControlsI'll finally be selling Michu after the Wigan game. Looking at Charlie Adam replacing him now that Stoke's fixtures ease up. Most others around that price range are beyond dire. Pienaar is a possibility but I don't really want him, and the same for Nuri Sahin since I have Liverpool coverage.
Hmm.Open ControlsAmongst my other players, my team is Baines, four sh*t defenders, and RvP
If I was to downgrade RvP to someone like Jelavic, I could upgrade two defenders to maybe Ivanovic and Rafael
So, over a season, would Jelavic, Baines, Ivanovic and Rafael outscore RvP, Baines, Demel and Cuellar?
Almost certainly yes. But then, when I look at Man U's fixtures GWs 11-15 I would be shitt*ng it not to have him.
This is the problem with buying players like that in the first place - it takes big balls to drop them...Open Controlsright then i think its time to do the haz to caz transfer, i would like to keep him but there are much more possible points with caz over the short/mid term!
Also Is anyone worried about this potential FA investigation into RVP?
and do we think begovic is more likely to rise today or tomorrow he is currently at %88.3 on total fpl?Open ControlsI'm tempted to say goodbye to HBA...I know his fixtures get good but I can't handle having him and Ba...it's too much...I may get him back but I don't fancy his ability to perform in away matches or against tougher opposition.
Who to get in instead is the question...
Nolan/Jarvis
Silva?
Ramirez
Lennon?
Taarabt?
Any other suggestions?
ThanksOpen Controlsbut what if cisse starts hitting form then you will wish you had done the opposite and got rid of Ba!
Open ControlsI don't think so...I feel Ba will always be a threat whereas HBA is hit and miss. Cisse is bound to score goals...Ba is looking like the main man though judging by Cisse off for Ameobi earlier...Ba will get points over the next 5 GW's...HBA...I don't know really...
Open Controls
Silva, you need city.
Open ControlsNolan has good next 2 games apart from that fixtures are kinda sucky. Monitor the Ramirez injury, between him and Nolan for me
Open Controls
Pienaar is an assist machine and looks like he'll be very consistent throughout the season...my most wanted player atm + all this to keep Hazard? tough fixtures and 3 blanks in some decent games. not to mention a price of over 10...DITCH imo.
Open Controlsthis is for mark on the last page.
Open ControlsI'm guessing that was a reply fail to me....yeah I love Pienaar so may sacrifice Fellaini instead. Hazard is an explosive player ....getting rid isn't easy....separation anxiety = high.
Open ControlsIt felt easier for me because I wildcarded...Hazard to Santi felt like a no-brainer...a) to free up cash and b) fixtures/relative differential
I can see why you are torn by the decision...I may not have found it easy sans WC. The thing swaying me is Cazorla is on everything and he's a Mata who scores goals...or at least shoots more often...Hazard is in a midfield where scoring is pot luck...any one of them could be double figures one week and another the next.Open Controlsjust to make sure...are u trying to get bale in and being forced to ditch one of santi/haz to do so?
Open Controlsor thinking about haz to santi?

Tottenham(A)- Leaky defence so far this year.
Man Utd(H)- 3-3 at Stamford Bridge last year and I can see Chelsea scoring a few against them.
Swansea(A)- Not on form currently defensively. Just conceding two to Reading at home
Liverpool(H)- Should get a few against us.
West Brom(A)- Good home team defensively but Chelsea should win this game with the team they have.
Man City(H)- Not been as solid defensively this year but it's hard to predict what will happen in this game.
I'll be keeping him for now.Open Controls
Does anyone fancy some International Fantasy Footy to keep us occupied over the break?
Open ControlsDo we get constant WC's?
Open Controls
go with your gut , your asking people who dont have a clue , but think they do .
Open ControlsI will try again. RVP or aguero?? when you reply include value as a factor
Open ControlsBy saying include value as a factor it doesn't help us to make this decision for you. Yes Aguero is cheaper, but what does that matter if you have no-one to bring in with the money?
Open ControlsRVP 13.5
Aguero 11
I included value.Open Controls
Hey guys... so not such a great week. Bale (c) did me no favours.
So just wondering if anyone knows why Clyne didn't play? Not even on the bench, is there an injury or just dropped?Open Controlsdead leg.
Open Controls
650k for me 🙁 I'd like to take this opportunity to "LOL" at myself. I can't get anything right. Awful decisions week after week, WC blown and team completely unbalanced.
It doesn't get any worse than this (FPL wise).
The international break is probably a good thing right now..I'm that down.
My one consolation is that I take a screen shot of my previous seasons and I was 512k after GW7 last year and finished quite well but don't remember feeling as bad as I do now.
Sorry for the misery-guts post.....but it's only you lot on here that really know how bad it feels, friends and family just laugh .. (and rightly so 😆 )Open ControlsIt can only get better dude!
Open ControlsBad times but it only takes a couple of good gameweeks to get back on track!
Open ControlsThanks for the support lads! Like I said, it's only on here that anyone can really understand the pain!
Open Controls
The season well and truly begins around the holiday fixtures. Casuals fade out and the experienced player can make some serious moves upwards in rank.
Open ControlsI know KE. But a bad start is a bad start. Thanks anyway 😉
Open Controls
I know exactly how you feel...
There's nothing like a Super Shite Sunday to make me wanna WC so badly...
I hate this game right now...Open Controls
Just played my WC, RMT please.
Schwarzer (Begovic)
Jenkinson,Rafael,Baines, (Clyne) (Davies)
Bale, Cazorla, Ben arfa, Michu, (guthrie)
Suarez, Giroud, Jelavic
keepers both rotate for about 7 weeks and both are good at home, so do the reserve defenders.
Removed Hazard for Cazorla due to the run of games both have and put Suarez in for the home game vs reading but then he's out and Aguero is in. Thoughts?Open ControlsIs there a site that posts all the bonus points from the week?
Open ControlsSo is Andre Wisdom nailed on for Pool's defense?
Open ControlsNot completely, Rodgers likes him at RB, but he is only filling in there as Glen Johnson is being a substitute LB, while Enrique is dropped.
Enrique or Jack Robinson could come into the team at the expense of Wisdom at any time, but for 4.5 in a usually solid defence with these fixtures he looks decent.
At that price range I probably prefer Caulker thoughOpen ControlsAh many thanks, looks a likely lad for 4.5 and I need a replacement for Demel! Caulker is pretty much nailed on still, when is BAE expected back?
Open Controls
Considering after next GW, a free double transfer of Michu to Sterling and Fellaini to Mata. Only leaves me with Baines as Everton coverage though?
Both Michu and Fellaini walking the suspension tightrope..oh who we kidding, both will be suspended for GW8! (most likely)
Gives me a midfield of Cazorla, Mata, Bale, Nolan and Sterling. Could do worse.Open ControlsI've got 3 Everton players and unless something drastic happens that probably won't be changing until GW14.
If they get suspended that may also change it 🙂Open Controls
Fonte anyone? 4mill can score goals His price can up as well
Open ControlsJelavic or Fletcher over the next few GW's? (I have Pienaar)
Open ControlsJust to say I am a little mystified that Lambert to Berba is being repeatedly mentioned as the pressing transfer. Even though I've been unfortunate enough to get Lambert in for two 2s, his stats and his great FPL performances prior to that remain unchanged. After two weeks I still am confident that around 6.0 he could be one of the best value players in the game, if not THE best. His pricing reflects an assumption that Southampton score the goals of a budget team, when in fact they're outscoring many heavy hitter teams.
The extra 1.0 or so could easily be the difference between a big 9.5 midfielder and a 6.0/7.0 because there is almost nothing in between.Open ControlsThe only issue I'd have is that Southampton are actually not reliant ENOUGH on his goalscoring! They have scored so many different kinds of goals...from a variety of players...take your pick...it's a lottery. Whereas take a team like Newcastle for example, they NEED Ba and Cisse to score...otherwise they lose. Do you catch my drift here? This is my main concern about buying Southampton...the other being they're relegation strugglers.
Open ControlsThis... plus he gets subbed off often. Berba > Lambert..
Open ControlsThere is also the Ramirez factor with Lambert. Ramirez looks as though he will be key for Saints, the same goes for Berba at Fulham
Open Controls
One of the reasons I got Lambert in was because of his involvement - it came out very well on the compare tool. Today's game with two surprise goals from Fonte doesn't change NY long term plans. Lambert has both goal threat and assist potential - and he is definitely their main man. At 6.0ish that's ridiculous.
Open Controls
FWIW mate, given my rival has Gerv and Bale, I'm inclined to pick Lennon and Caz.
Open ControlsHow did you two guys recognise each other in the pub the other day?
Did one of you wear a long blonde wig and the other pour beef gravy down the left side of his face?Open Controlswe were both on phones checking messages, looked up, and it was like, JK? yeah, Isacki? yeah. Pint? yeah.
Open ControlsYeah sorry, that was a joke not a slag. I'm just not intot the emoticon thing
Good on you for meeting up. Could be fun if more folk on here did itOpen Controls
Yeah I always alter my appearance to match my gravs. The bin Laden one was a bit tricky.
Open Controls
Can't disagree with that - I like both myself and am softening towards Cazorla especially in light of how his rivals are doing. Maybe his shooting will get better.
All I'd say is don't let him influence your transfers! I long stopped looking at rival's teams because they added another layer of complexity to my already difficult decisions!Open Controls
Probably cos Berba is just as good, if not better value, than Lambert at 7mil
Open Controlsand he'll be 6.8/6.9 possibly...only .5/.6 difference!!

Foster, Federici
Baines, Cole, Zabaleta, Cuellar, McCartney
Hazard, Kagawa, Michu, Pienaar, Noble
Tevez, Suarez, Lambert
Have 2 FTs this week, with a few players I am planning on moving on, and can't quite decide between the options. Federici, Zabaleta, Kagawa and Noble all need to go in the next few weeks. Foster has MCI this week, but Begovic, my preferred keeper combo with Foster, has mun, so will leave that.
A) Noble to Sterling
B) Kagawa to Cazorla
C) Kagawa to Bale
D) Zabaleta to Rafael
E) Zabaleta to Caulker
F) Federici to Begovic
G) Save a transfer
I can mix and match any two of these (Upgrading Kagawa depends on downgrading elsewhere)
I'm leaning towards B and DOpen Controlsyeah just stick with Foster this week. I'd aim to aquire Bego around GW11 now.
I think B and D may be your best options, but after Stoke, United have some tough games with Chelsea and Arsenal back-to-back. With that in mind though I'd be more tempted to lose Hazard than KagawaOpen ControlsB
Open Controlsb
Open ControlsCheers for the replies, I'm sorta worried about Noble and Zab dropping more, but they're not urgent, I wouldn't even play them GW8
Can't quite afford B without a downgrade elsewhere (0.1 short) but Arsenal coverage vs Norwich and QPR looks essential, so I'll work something outOpen Controls
