Last but not least, the third article in our series focusing on attacking potential takes a look at the defenders. We’ve already ran the rule over the midfielders and forwards in the past couple of days and now the men at the back come under analysis. Highlighting the top 10 performers in terms of threat in our own ICT Index, we also list the top 20 for goal attempts so far and cast an eye over their underlying stats to ascertain their possible Fantasy value going forward:

Fascinated by some of the reasons for transfers on here...one thing i've not seen is transfers based on value alone...I flogged Tevez a couple of weeks ago when he was up at 9.9 and Michu when he was high at 7.4...and both leaking owners even now...How much milage is there in playing the values game for a better second half to the season...?....In paticular looking at players coming back from injury or bans...Young...Sagna...Rooney...Terry etc...or is it a waste of time ?

It is a decent ploy, I did it last year and finished about 2000, finished with about 112 mil.

How's this wild card team look compared to my old team?

Jussi Begovi

Baines Rafael McCartney Demel Gorks

Hazard Piennar Sterling Cazorla Bale

Ba Tevez Berbatov

Could get in Rooney for Ba if I drop Piennar and Bale for HBA and Morrison (I believe)

Drop hazar. Looks ok.. What is your team?

I have a similar WC team. I think I have settled on the following

  Bego, gazza

Baines, sagna, saylor / gorkks nelsen

Bale, Oscar, cazorla, taarabt / Morrison

  Rooney, berba, aguero

It's a gamble, but if Rooney, aguero, Morrison, taarabt, Oscar have a good moth or so I will make up ground

I just came back from stadium. It's unbelieveable how could they leave roof opened. Disgrace. You probably heard chants from the stands. It was "thieves, thieves" in Polish.

so I still have Graham, luckily I have 2 FT this week though

Foster Federici
Demel Zaba Baines Hangeland Cuellar
Michu Cazorla Pienaar Ben Arfa Sterling
Suarez RVP Graham

2 FT, 0.5 in bank

Was thinking Zabaleta and Graham to Wilson and Berbatov

Yay or nay?
