Sunday brings the curtain down on Gameweek 8 with two fixtures, headlined by this afternoon’s Tyne-Wear derby. With three red cards in the last four encounters, this should be a tasty affair, even though Lee Cattermole is out of harm’s way through suspension. Following that, attention turns to Loftus Road, where in-form Everton test the mettle of basement dwellers QPR.

There should be plenty on offer for Fantasy managers with the likes of Demba Ba, Steven Fletcher, Leighton Baines and Steven Pienaar in action, then. Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open to catch your reaction as the day unfolds.

The team news is in from the Stadium of Light and is as follows:

Mignolet, Gardner, Rose, O’Shea, Cuellar, Colback, Larsson, Johnson, McClean, Sessegnon, Fletcher.

Sunderland are unchanged from their Gameweek 7 loss to City, though Phil Bardsley makes the bench for the first time this term.

Krul; Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Santon; Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Tiote, Gutierrez; Ameobi, Ba

Alan Pardew makes four personnel changes from the side that lost to United in Gameweek 7. Tim Krul, Danny Simpson and Fabricio Coloccini all return from injury, while Shola Ameobi replaces the below-par Papiss Cisse up top. Mike Williamson keeps his place at centre-half, with Steven Taylor handed a bench role.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

This doesn't look good for Everton. They're struggling to keep the ball in QPR's half. I need at least a Baines assist!!

QPR look up for this like they did against Chelsea, Everton could be in trouble.

Also, Riise = cut-price Baines with more chance of a CS?

Baines has pennos, guaranteed FKs (when Berba will surely take close range), is part of a team that will finish higher and not too much diff in CS probability.

Jelavic probably takes 1 in 10. If you want to invest in Riise over Baines and don't see value for money go for it. But you pay for points and Baines will have more points than Riise come the end of the season.

I don't think it's just that we specifically miss Fellaini, it's that the loss of both he and Gibson destroys the team dynamic and specifically the central midfield area. Osman should ideally be further forward/on the right, Phil Neville just can't cut it in midfield any more, and Anichebe shouldn't be anywhere near the right wing.

I did Yaya > Mata about an hour ago leaving me with Tevez. Keeping him for the Swansea game to see how he does there. City are ridiculous for rotation though so who can you really bank on playing enough to justify the pricetag?

Hart/Kompany if they could keep a CS, Yaya but the points have dried up, Aguero but still alot of rotation up front. Maybe once the CL group stage is concluded we might see a more settle team over the festive period and new year but until then I don't think it's such a big deal having no City.

Like Rooney's OG, headed it straight into the goal. Definately an OG and not O'shea

Not really like Rooney's. Rooney had to do something to stop ShawX having an open goal. Ba knew nothing about his. But still an o.g.

won't be too bothered if Baines does nothing for me today, most of main rivals in mini league have him so nothing gained and so on..

I was thinking that, but always nice to get a higher score.

Not my team but how does Cole, Yaya, Fletcher > Rafael, Mata, Berbatov sound for a -4 point hit?

Check his scores the last 4 games. They also included tough opposition...

Last night he was brilliant. But if you look at his first assist and all points vs Arsenal- they were super lucky. Maybe I respect fixtures too much. I guess we will see next week.

It's not points chasing if you think he will continue to score well. You can't just say i'm not getting him in because I never had him this week when he scored well. If you believe it will continue you get him in.

Time will tell- personally im not even considering until gw 14, by than Oscar might even be the better option.

It's hardly puzzling that people want Mata in their team. What more do you want?

Looking at Baines' 'chances created' stats, i would say otherwise. I want Kompany though.

Bad K has 3 at home in next 4 and looks like they are finding defensive boots again. Also he scored for the national team and he is a differential. Why not?

People aren't half fickle. 29 quiet minutes and suddenly he's ready for the chop. Terrible move in my opinion.

No this game doesn't influence me. I am not a big fan of expecting and predicting attacking returns for defenders. In the past whenever I own Baines he isn't performing for me. This game has nothing to do with it.

CS's are still bread and butter for the defenders IMO.

Lets see I believe that Komp will out score Baines in next 4. MARK MY WORDS
