There’s a couple of top-flight encounters to entertain us this afternoon. QPR prepare for the visit of Reading, with both sides looking for their first win of the season, before Liverpool play host to Newcastle at 4pm. As always, our Dugout Discussion Chatroom is open and available ahead of the early Loftus Road showdown:

The team news from Loftus Road is in and is as follows:

QPR Starting XI: Cesar; Bosingwa, Ferdinand, Nelsen, Traore; Mackie, Diakite, Granero, Taarabt; Hoilett; Cisse

Mark Hughes makes three alterations from the side that narrowly lost 1-0 at Arsenal last weekend. Stephane Mbia drops out through suspension, with Anton Ferdinand coming in at centre-half. Jamie Mackie is preferred to Shaun Wright-Phillips on the right flank and Djibril Cisse replaces Bobby Zamora as the lone forward.

Reading Starting XI: McCarthy; Gunter, Gorkss, Morrison, Shorey; McCleary, Leigertwood, Tabb McCleary, McAnuff; Hunt, Roberts

Brian McDermott makes four changes from the side that drew 3-3 at home with Fulham last time round. In defence, Chris Gunter replaces Shaun Cummings at right-back, while Sean Morrison comes in at centre-half, with Adrian Mariappa dropping out. Elsewhere, Garath McCleary is preferred to Jimmy Kebe on the right flank and Pavel Pogrebnyak is omitted from the first XI for the first time this term, with Noel Hunt partnering Jason Robert in a front two.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I've gotta good feeling about Sterling, reckon he will score or at least assist.
Reckon Ba could nick one in a Pool 2-1 win with Gerrard the standout performer with a goal and assist.

Can you please help with the following for my WC team:

    1) A - Tremmel or B - McCarthy (Backup Keeper)
    2) A - Rafael or B - Clichy or C - Sagna (Main Defender
    3) A - McAnuff or B - Maloney or C - Sterling (5th Mid)

    I have 15.1m for those 3 positions.

    Thanks!

Thanks guys - Rafael seems the sensible choice...could squeeze Valencia in too if I downgraded elsewhere but RVP and Rafael allows me other mid-priced midfielders.

Am going to hang on to Tremmel because I already have Gorkss and have double up on Stoke. Don't want to have 2 x doubles, especially cause Reading's defence ain't great.

Looking up stats for 3) A – McAnuff or B – Maloney or C – Sterling (5th Mid)...am really split between Maloney and Sterling.

Does Maloney take pens for Wigan?!

thing is though, Nolan had a goal wrongfully ruled out for offside, and that was against city. Had the ref/linesmen got it right, you'd be looking at Nolan having scored again, and his home record just looks fantastic then. I'd keep. I know he's got Newcastle away next, but players have a habit of scoring against their old teams...

Is it worth doing Berb and Bale to Fellaini and Ba for a 4 point hit?

I'll save money and the latter two have better fixtures! Can't decide if its worth doing or just hold on to what I have???

So looking forward to next week I've decided to take a 4 point hit, but how to go about it?

    Current team:

    Foster - Bego
    Rafael - Baines - Santon - Demel - Nelsen
    Santi - Morrison - Michu - Mata - Sterling
    Berba - RVP - Tevez

    .3 In bank

    A) Foster + Berba - > Tremmel / McCarthy + Ba
    B) Mata + Berba - > Fellaini + Ba (Will get me in on Fellainis rises and try to get Mata back asap)
    C) Santon + Berba - > Gorks + Ba

so I see in betfair, there's one column of back & lay,
does it mean, e.g. back liverpool 1.65, lay 1.66

if I back liverpool and liverpool win, I get 1.65,
and if I lay liverpool and liverpool didn't win, I get 1.66?

If you lay Liverpool you win the bet if it is a draw/newcastle win and you lose the bet if Liverpool win. Laying a selection is backing that NOT to happen. So laying Liverpool is backing them NOT to win.
