There’s a couple of top-flight encounters to entertain us this afternoon. QPR prepare for the visit of Reading, with both sides looking for their first win of the season, before Liverpool play host to Newcastle at 4pm. As always, our Dugout Discussion Chatroom is open and available ahead of the early Loftus Road showdown:

The team news from Loftus Road is in and is as follows:

QPR Starting XI: Cesar; Bosingwa, Ferdinand, Nelsen, Traore; Mackie, Diakite, Granero, Taarabt; Hoilett; Cisse

Mark Hughes makes three alterations from the side that narrowly lost 1-0 at Arsenal last weekend. Stephane Mbia drops out through suspension, with Anton Ferdinand coming in at centre-half. Jamie Mackie is preferred to Shaun Wright-Phillips on the right flank and Djibril Cisse replaces Bobby Zamora as the lone forward.

Reading Starting XI: McCarthy; Gunter, Gorkss, Morrison, Shorey; McCleary, Leigertwood, Tabb McCleary, McAnuff; Hunt, Roberts

Brian McDermott makes four changes from the side that drew 3-3 at home with Fulham last time round. In defence, Chris Gunter replaces Shaun Cummings at right-back, while Sean Morrison comes in at centre-half, with Adrian Mariappa dropping out. Elsewhere, Garath McCleary is preferred to Jimmy Kebe on the right flank and Pavel Pogrebnyak is omitted from the first XI for the first time this term, with Noel Hunt partnering Jason Robert in a front two.

    I think 100/30 the draw is a great bet here. Newcastle have drawn 5 out of their 7 away games this season (losing only to Man.United & Chelsea) and Liverpool have only won 1 of their 5 league games (against Reading)

    Sure, Liverpool have the hex over Newcastle at Anfield but backing this mediocre Liverpool team at odds on is a sure way to quickly end up in the grubber.

          You are clouded by Sparky's reign at Blackburn mate. He has spent an arm and a leg since he took over and still rock bottom with the club's worst start since 1920. Fed up of his excuses, his team selections, his blasé attitude, the list goes on.

            I am talking about all the managers you listed. None of them are useless. Not every manager can win leagues, cups etc. Bruce, Robson, Hughes etc are/were all competent managers

              Seriously I love to see him play, and admire his tricks,skills,nutmegs. Nah nowhere near Messi , he's just a typical Brazllian left back,much like Carlos, Marcelo, Bastos etc. I do think he's too slow for PL though..
