Entry to the seventh FFS Paddy Power Cup closes this evening – you must have your team entered by 8pm tonight to be considered for the Qualifying Round. The tournament is free to enter and there are prizes for the top three teams, plus the Quarter Finalists will qualify for our first Fantasy Football Scout Shield later in the season.

The Paddy Power Cup is our version of the Fantasy Premier League’s Fantasy Cup game. Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores). In the event of a tie, the Manager highest in the overall standing will progress.

Results from the Qualifying Round will be calculated once the FPL has fully updated the game for Gameweek 10.

Read on for details on the Paddy Power cup but, if you’re a veteran, you can go straight here to make your entry.

When does it start?

The qualifying round takes place in Gameweek 10. All entries received before 8pm on Monday November 5 will be entered into the qualifying round. In this first cup competition we will have 1024 qualifiers for the first round – those 1018 (plus 6 previous winners who earn a bye) with the top scores in Gameweek 10 will progress to the first round proper to be played in Gameweek 11. Again, FPL standing will decide who progresses in the event of tied positions.

How do I enter?

Simply fill out the entry form here. You will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry. You can also check that you are entered via this list.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the qualifying round will be published on Tuesday November 6

What is the Gameweek Schedule

Each round of the Paddy Power Cup will be played out over the following schedule:

  • Qualifying – Gameweek 10
  • Round 1 – 1024 teams – Gameweek 11
  • Round 2 – 512 teams – Gameweek 12
  • Round 3 – 256 teams – Gameweek 13
  • Gameweek 14 – Break
  • Round 4 – 128 teams – Gameweek 15
  • Round 5 – 64 teams – Gameweek 16
  • Round 6 – 32 teams – Gameweek 17
  • Round 7 – 16 teams – Gameweek 18
  • Gameweek 19 – Break
  • Quarter-Finals – 8 teams – Gameweek 20
  • Gameweek 21 – Break
  • Semi-Finals – 4 teams – Gameweek 22
  • The Final – 2 teams – Gameweek 23

When are the fixtures released?

The fixture list for each round will be published a day or two before each Gameweek deadline.

Are there prizes?

Sponsors Paddy Power are supplying the competition with some great prizes and we’re supplementing these with Amazon Vouchers. The prizes break down as follows:

Winner – £100 worth of free bets. £100 Amazon Voucher
Runner-up – £50 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
3rd Place – £50 worth of free bets. £25 Amazon Voucher

In addition, the Quarter-Finalists from this tournament will gain entry to the Fantasy Football Scout Shield where they will play the eight Quarter-Finalists from this season’s Members Cup. Should any team qualify for the Shield from both Cup tournaments, then the highest scoring losing team from the last sixteen of either cup will gain entry to complete the FFS Shield entries.

Cup Entrants will need a Paddy Power account and be aged 18 or over to be eligible for some of the above prizes. Prizes are also subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. You can, of course, enter without being over 18 and without a Paddy Power account but will not be eligible for the free bet prizes.

If you’ve yet to register a Paddy Power account, then you can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register and bet £10.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Hey folks

I have 1 FT and £0.2m in the bank.

    Foster, Begovic

    Baines, Davies, Demel, Cuellar, Gorkks

    Nolan, Michu, Bale, Valencia, Sterling

    Ba, RVP, Aguero

Thinking of taking Aguero and Nolan out for Suarez and Fellaini?
    -4 though.
    Good idea?

    Thank you

Not a chance. Aguero to Suarez as part of a hit?! You must be off your rocker! Fellaini isn't essential enough for a hit either. A simple Aguero to Tevez this week would be fine. Then Nolan to someone next week.

Two reasons - it give us more time to organise the results and draw just in case of delay with bonus points from FPL. It also gives us some slack if an entire GW is postponed due to weather.

No, but seeing as some of us make quite erratic transfers at times it could be hard to know when to draw the line. Possibly point hits after x amount could be deducted from following weeks total.

Ironically missed the boat with the discussion on previous article about players you've missed the boat on. Just wanted to say it's very irrational way of thinking.

You need to forget about their history of price changes and decide whether they're worth their current price based on form and fixtures.

At £8.1m Ba is still underpriced for his point potential. If Suarez continues as he has lately, he is well worth £9.7m

Comparing Everton's fixtures with Arsenal and Utd's from GW15 to January wildcard I think Sagna/Evans can outscore him and for a price that allows me to get a better third striker.

Come the wildcard I'll certainly be looking at getting him again.

That's fair enough, i'll have Sagna/Rafael/Baines. As I said I don't think there is a point in arguing as it depends on the situation, after all 7.3 is alot for a defender.

Yeah, for me Sagna, Rafa, two defenders around 4.5m and that rotter Gorkss are going to be enough. I've got it all worked out, at least until something screws up my masterplan.

That would be a ridiculous thing to do. He is playing well and scoring consistently. Surely he doesn't need 2 goals a game minimum to be worth keeping? And he is ideal for bonus points (3 yesterday). RVP, Tevez, Suarez, Ba are the top 4 and if you own Suarez you don't sell him imo.

It's probably just a matter of tempting form and fixtures elsewhere: Ba, Suarez, RVP.

But I agree, I'm not. TOT should be a nice open game, and then he's got Villa. He's up there with Suarez for value for money - but in a better team with better fixtures.

Good point - I am looking at taking a 12-16 point hit to get him in this game week or next as with their good run of fixtures coming up, he makes a pretty easy captaining choice.

That's a ridiculous hit, it won't pay off. People on this site flinch at 8pt hits. You have to think that will the players you get rid of score less than 16pts than the new players!!

I can do it for 8pt hit, but want to keep my midfield largely intact, so was looking at doing Giroud, McAuley, Hangeland and Nolan --> RVP (c).

I guess I just dont want to miss out on the good run of fixtures by taking 4-5 weeks to make the transfer....

That's some increase. His creativity was high (not as high clearly) last season and he didn't get many assists from it. If I remember correctly Downing created more changes than anyone else last season and it hardy translated into mega points.

Well imagine the garden full of chocolate and sweets. It's like that but with stats and position maps 😉

Member's articles, and recently a very cool tool allowing you to create (and view other's) stats tables.

Access to lots and lots of very useful stats. The comparison tool is particularly good when you're trying to decide which of two players to bring in.

The members articles are good too, most of them help digest the stats further for you.

All in all, it's well worth the price in my opinion. It's already paid for itself for me, helping me win manager of the month in my cash league. But even without the profit angle, it just makes the experience of playing fantasy football richer and more involving.

Want to get NEW coverage in but don't want to sacrifice city coverage with two home games on the horizon.

Cazorla. Next two fixtures are gainst Bale but I can see him doing something and definately the better option long term.

Cazorla- Great fixtures until January, on all free kicks, all corners, amongst the most shots and chances created per game

        Bale- AVB
