We just won’t let it lie. Having rinsed through the idea in this week’s Digest, the prospect of dropping this new breed of “in the hole” midfielders into a new Fantasy position gets another airing in this week’s ‘Cast. Granville agrees but we still somehow manage to argue about it.

Around that particular hot topic, there’s our usual brand of regulars, plus a preview of the two sides that lie in wait for us in the Fantasy Football Scout Cup and the latest on Ed’s team and his work on the new comments system. “Mr Ghostship” had a bad week – could it be all the attention has piled the pressure on his big coding shoulders?

    Was thinking of switching Bale for Cazorla this week, but liked the way he played tonight and think he can cause Zabaleta/Toure problems on Sunday.

    Also realised that Santi has a trip to Panama with Spain mid-week.

    Any chance he will get rested for the game with Tottenham in gameweek 12 (which is the 12:45 KO)?

    I have Federici, who has probably got his place back for Reading, and need to bring in defender for less than £4.1m for Ashley Cole this week:

    A) Gorkss
    B) Nelsen
    C) Clyne/Fonte

    I'm leaning towards Gorkss, as I won't play Federici much, mainly Foster.

    Hey guys, any thoughts on my idea to "improve football"...
    It's awesome that Fifa have approved goal line technology, but you still may get dodgey decisions like handball goals, dodgey offsides, underserving red cards etc.
    I dont understand why they dont have a rule which would allow each team to have two appeals per game. So they can query a decision. Once it's used up that's it. Dont think it would be abused if it was limited to two. Don't think it would undermine the ref, and if bad decisions get reversed, people will be happier after the game 🙂
