We’ve got three fixtures to enjoy on this Sunday of Premier League action. After league-leaders Manchester United narrowly took three points yesterday at Villa Park, it’s time for the other two title contenders to respond. The Dugout Discussion opens for the juicy encounter at the Etihad Stadium between hosts Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. The team news is in, and is as follows…

Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic, Clichy, Yaya Toure, Barry, Kolarov, Silva, Tevez, Aguero.

Spurs XI: Friedel, Walker, Gallas, Caulker, Vertonghen, Sandro, Huddlestone, Lennon, Bale, Dempsey, Adebayor.

Roberto Mancini makes four changes from last weekends goalless draw against West Ham, which includes the return of David Silva after a month-long lay-off. As for the visitors, Jermain Defoe misses out despite a midweek hattrick in the Europa League, which means Emmanual Adebayor lines up against his former employers.

Following events in Manchester there will be another tasty battle, this time in the capital where Liverpool travel down to Chelsea. In and amongst, at 3p.m., Newcastle United welcome the visit West Ham United.

You can take in all the action in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which is open and can be accessed right here.

Subs made, verm & kightly > cuellar & silva. Feeling very happy about that, just gotta be patient for a couple of weeks with jelavic and then fund him to kun somehow. The Only Way is Green Arrow

There is a higher chance that QPR wins the PL this year than Bale getting bp's this game if that helps.

Everyone will say he played poorly. The reality is that Spurs didn't get much of the ball in the final third and he only really got on the ball when he came deeper. He had a few shots but mostly off target. I imagine he won't be getting any BAPs

Those thinking of Bale > Silva..

You'll only regret it when Silva doesn't pick up an assist for a couple of games and Bale scores. Much prefer Bale compared to Silva.

I could understand Cazrola > Silva as it's like for like but I'd still hold onto Cazorola I think.

Disagree - Silva had 5 key passes today, more than any other midf this gameweek. And 37 touches in the final 3rd. He'll continue to pick up assists.

How come when Baines under performs for weeks it's fine and he is there for the long term but when Bale does it he is no good and must be sold?

People need to get some perspective. He is one of the strongest midfielders in the game and he too should be considered a long term investment. If you just knee jerk all the good players about such as Cazorla, Bale etc you are just gonna miss out when the points do come.

There are lots of good attacking choices in midfield and midfieldd and attack get changed the most. Not many genuine out-and-out attacking defenders like Baines who has many upsides besides clean sheets, like pen duty, set-pieces and is a bonus magnet when he has attacking and defensive returns. Yes, he's not doing well points-wise of late but he's still playing well and there is not a huge amount of good alternatives. Rafael is probably the best alternative but many have him and Baines together.
