Just as Paddy drew level, our treble came in. A goal for Luis Suarez, coupled with an assist for David Silva and a City clean sheet in the win over Villa handed us another timely windfall and put us back in the black. Our bookmaker friends in retreat, we missed out on the Flutter last weekend but it returns for the midweek menu, with Paddy looking to prise back our winnings…

First up for Wednesday’s matches, we look to a name that’s been circulating the community for the last 48-hours: Southampton’s Gaston Ramirez. He’s on many a wishlist following a goal and assist return against Newcastle, and we’re willing to back his form with a few quid. Paddy are dangling 15/2 on another Ramirez goal against Norwich, packaged with a second consecutive Southampton cleanie. Ramirez is in fashion and even the Saints back four are playing with some confidence. We’ll take Paddy’s offer for £2 of our tenner.

Sunderland’s Stephane Sessegnon is another name garnering attention following the weekend events. A potential template breaker in midfield, Sessegnon is showing glimpses of last season’s form just in time for the Black Cats’ double fixture in Gameweek 16. After a goal and assist return in the damaging defeat to West Brom, can Sessegnon find the net when Harry’s boys visit the North-East? Paddy are offering 6/1 on a Sessegnon goal with a Sunderland shut-out against QPR. Again, we’ll chuck a couple of quid at this, with Sessegnon there or thereabouts for the Picks for the Gameweek.

Villa’s Christian Benteke is another player we’ve got a lot of time for: he’s proved integral to Villa’s threat in recent weeks and is certain to trouble Reading’s faltering back line tomorrow evening. Paul Lambert’s side are far from prolific, but we fancy them to break the shackles against the Royals and, with Paddy offering 4/1 on a Benteke goal with a Villa clean sheet, we’ll take that for £3 of our hard earned.

That leaves a handsome £3 left for the treble – having won out on this the last time around, we’re going into this one with confidence. Paddy have 10/1 on a Robin Van Persie goal against West Ham, a Juan Mata assist when Chelsea face Fulham and a Stoke clean sheet against the wounded Magpies.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, then you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Got 2 FTs and not really sure what to do. Thinking I should get in Saurez or am I too late to that party?

1.5 in the bank. This would leaves me with 0 in the bank:
Ba to Suarez & Sagna to Garrido

    Otherwise, err just 1 transfer:
    Ba to Giroud (1.3 left)
    Demel to Nastasic (0 left)
Sagna to Jose Enrique (1.1 left)
    Sagna to Nastasic (1.4 left)

Ba to Giroud if Walcott recovers in time. I can statistically show that Giroud is potent when Walcott plays.
Or else, buy Suarez. That's the safe option.

I like the Nastasic idea, but I think City's next 2 after Wigan can go without City defence and gives more time to see if Nastasic is nailed on or if it just a case of a silent injury to Lescott.

      I prefer the Giroud move

Lol, good point, in fact I prefer going along late, but not once it's over!

I also like to have the bitter-sweet joy of strikers from City and Liverpool, that way when they score I get points, and when they don't it's good because they didn't score for their team. When RvP doesn't score, it's just damn annoying.

Going to risk waiting on the party. I need some sort of attacking differential. At 2.4% ownership, Giroud seems like a decent option. Looking at Fiso, I should be able to still go to the party next GW!

Evening lads. Non FPL related query tonight. I was thinking about getting an iPhone 4s but I'm not sure if it's worth the cash and was wondering if there are any other smartphones out there that you would recommend for a reasonable price?

You need your own phone though.

Re the actual phone, you only really need an iPhone if you just MUST HAVE AN IPHONE. Apple mark up is way too high, and the new maps is RUBBISH.

Personally I think Android rocks. Just get best you can afford and aim to keep it for as long as you can. Galaxy's are supposed to be pretty fine phones. Make sure you play with one first whatever you get.

Evening chaps, looking for a little detective work:

My ML rival had team value of 107.9 with 0.0 in bank earlier but has now made 1 FT and has team vslue of 107.2 with 0.2 in the bank. My reading of this is he's lost 0.5 team value overall, which would equate to a player who has risen by 1.0m or more, yet he doesn't have a player (not sure if there are any) who has risen by 1.0m! What am I missing here?

Ramirez is clearly the better player. But will he really get 1.5m worth more pts than Puncheon? Lallana and Puncheon seem to play very centrally, and the inter-changing fluidity of the three attacking mids means they should all get 'similar' points from open play. I think that 1.5m could provide better value in a Barfa->Silva, or a Huth->Baines transfer for example.

That is my dilemma excactly, currently on same points per game. But Ramirez clearly has not had a chance to get a solid run in the side to show his full potential. Puncheon also more likely to get rotated.

What value would you put on a million in points ?
20 points over the season I reckon so 30 points more.
That's over a point a week so 1 assist every 3 weeks or 1 goal per month.
I dont know if it makes sense to look at it this way I just know I'd prefer to have the guy who gets the most points.

The point in the per million value is that this 1.5 could make the difference between Silva and maybe Walcott or Valencia. Whoever, but you get the point.

Good point, but assuming you rotate them with Sterling, your team would be deprived of that additional 1.5m when you bench Ramirez instead of Puncheon. I like to get value out in the first 11. If you don't rotate him with Sterling, then you are using up one of the permanent Mata/Bale/Silva/Michu/Fellaini spots in your team.

Im just looking at all the mids, and I think Ramirez might be the best mid around in that price range. So the punceon cheapness might be just a distraction from one of the best value mids around.

Every GW there is a completely random player that hits the jackpot. A player that no one would have ever suspected. Last week, obviously, it was Jordi Gomez.

My mission is to find that player for this GW.

    I've narrowed it down to:

    Craig Gardner.
    Anthony Pilkington.
    Jobi McAnuff.
    Christian Benteke.
    Vernon Anita.
