For those Fantasy managers who took part in last weekend’s Fantasy Football Scout Paddy Power Cup VII Third Round, a link to the results can be found here.

This includes the exit of Mark, whose dreams of silverware ended after he lost out in a duel with The Shadow. World number three Iyad Zahlan is the highest ranked remaining Fantasy manager left – he scraped through 36-34 last time out in what was a low scoring round for many.

A quick heads-up for the 128 who have made it through this far. The next round will be played this weekend (Gameweek 15). The upcoming Gameweek 14 round of fixtures which starts this evening will not contribute towards your chances of Scout Cup progress. We are currently sorting the draw for the next round behind the scenes and will roll this out on Thursday morning.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Nice defence, although there's evidence that Vermaelen isnt getting forward much this year and therefore is extravagent at his price - look at other options for attacking threat (Shorey; Enrique, Garrido).

Agreed. Verm to Enrique gw 15 if I think Enrique will maintain his attacking position. If not then maybe Mertersacker?

          Mertesacker is an OK choice
Also look at Nastasic - cheap way into MC DEF.
I also really like Terry at 6.6 when he returns (sacrilege I know)

          Oh, and play Begovic imo.

Bit of help with who to play tonight. Not the best selection this week for me i'm afraid:

    Begovic/Mingolet

    Kompany/Shorey/Enrique/Rafael/McAuley

    Sess/Nolan/Mata/Maloney/Kaca

    RVP/Suarez/Long

    Best 11 to play?

This FF malarky is frustrating...I do not usually do RMTs, but after another disappointing week and sitting only just inside the top 500,000 (last year I was inside the top 6,000), I could do with all the help I can get:

    Beg (Foster)
    Cameron, Cuellar, Baines (Gorkss, Demel)
    Bale, Silva, Michu, Fellaini (Sterling)
    RVP (c), Ba, Berb.

I have already done Caz > Silva...
    1) Is there anything else worth doing for a hit?
    2) Any players I should be looking to move on thinking longer term?

    Thanks in advance.

team is good for this week
have to admit that carz silva is kinda useless
they both carry the same potential threat and it can go both ways
pushing forward up the ranks in ur situation means betting on differentials
benteke giroud wouldv helped you more
but anw survive this week and look into that striker trio next week

A few weeks ago I asked if anyone had read ‘Up Pohnpei’ by Paul Watson and nobody had. Well now I have, and it’s great. So if you’re looking for something to read, or perhaps to give away for Christmas to someone who likes football or just good stories, I really recommend it. Beautiful story and an insight into life on a place you’d most probably never heard of.

    Now my dilemmas ::
    a) do I play Ba and if yes who for
    b) transfer Ba out for someone else 1 transfer
    c) Ba > Tevez would mean downgrading elsewhere 2 transfers
    d) Foster out as 1 transfer

norwich will be tough and he has players like lalana ramirez puncheon to take points off him.

Don't chase the fixtures is my advice - Lambert's sound nice but all three of his opponents have improving defenses - h could easily go 2,2,2. Berba can score against any of those teams - he'll be better in the longer run of things

Can he? Just becasue he scored 2 vs Arsenal people seem to think he is fixture proof, we gifted him them two goals. Other then that, his fixtures have been very kind. No doubting his class, Fulham on the other hand, with the injuries, i am not sure.

I could, but again, not sure its worth a transfer. Only reason i am tempted by Lambert is becasue he like Berba is on pens and his stats are up there with the best in the league.

not worth the transfer IMO. all good saying sterling can cover lamber next week but if you have the likes of michu/suarez in your team they might get booked. also take into account any injuries that can happen as players are playing 2-3 gmes in a week

Fletcher is fpl poison. He's only had 1 score of points in the last 6. That fortunate run he had was not reflective of him as a player. Reminds me of Amir Zaki... Nice run at the beginning at then did f all

Not just the two vs Arsenal, I've had him since GW4. He can make a goal from nothing, is on pens and good for assists. If fulham score, he's involved. Can you see chelsea, spurs and Newcastle keeping cleanies? Just ask yourself the simple question : which would you be more nervous about your opponent having?

Newcastle regarded as more of a goal threat than Norwich? (tho not sure I go along with that).

I am starting Cameron and Begovic and happy to double up on Stoke defence, so cue a Ba hat trick (I don't have Clyne)

      OK, it goes like this...

WBA started with Steve Reid at RB. He got injured, Jones came in for him. Jones then got injured, missed a couple of games, but has returned and held the RB slot since.

However...Reid has just returned back from injury. On the bench against Chelsea, but not against S'land. So we have to wait and see, but looks promising for now.
