We knew it was coming. Luis Suarez had been balancing on the Suspension Tightrope for too many a week, it seemed, and Saturday’s home clash against Southampton finally proved his undoing. Having rattled the woodwork from a free-kick earlier in the game, the Uruguayan fell foul of the referee after a bizarre attempt to punch the ball into the visitors’ net from close-range – it seems he’s yet to shake his predilection for handball in the box.

With five yellows accrued, Suarez’s one-match ban will see him miss the Reds’ trip to West Ham this upcoming Saturday – Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers have moved dramatically after he was flagged at the weekend, with 70,000 already selling him on, in spite of a superb upcoming schedule. Former Red Charlie Adam also joins Suarez on the sidelines after receiving his fifth caution of the season for a foul on Zoltan Gera in Stoke’s weekend win at West Brom – Adam is now sidelined for the Potters’ trip to Villa.

The Suspension Tightrope welcomes a trio of new arrivals this week. Adam’s Stoke team mate Ryan Shawcross is now a booking away from a one-match ban as he heads into the aforementioned Villa Park showdown, while John Obi Mikel and Gareth Bale are both on shaky ground ahead of trips to Sunderland and Everton respectively, though Bale’s availability for Spurs is still yet unclear after he limped off against Fulham with a hamstring strain.

Transferred in by almost 80,000 Fantasy managers already this week, Michu has been swaying on the Tightrope for several weeks now but the Swansea midfielder continues to avoid the referee’s wrath. Having been booked in four of his opening eight matches in all competitions, he has now completed his ninth game without a caution, with a weekend brace against Arsenal his latest Fantasy helping.

This evening’s game at St James’ Park has plenty of protagonists on our radar. Newcastle and Wigan both have two players apiece currently on four cautions – Jonas Gutierrez and Cheick Tiote are the hosts’ main concerns, while the Latics have Gary Caldwell and James McCarthy to worry about. In addition, a quartet of players are a caution away from appearing on the Tightrope – Davide Santon, Mike Williamson, Franco Di Santo and Maynor Figueroa currently sit on three bookings apiece.

Next week’s round of games will see Brede Hangeland and Emmanuel Adebayor available for selection after serving respective three-match bans, while Newcastle’s James Perch will be free to feature in the weekend trip to Fulham after he sits out tonight’s final match of the Gameweek.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Alot of roumors of Lewandowski signing for United next summer. The Mail is not refering to sources, but they seem certain (might not meen anything that), and I also read in a forum that Sky Germany said he would sign on the 13th of june.

I think there will more rotation for him with Smalling back - probably whenever they are playing big physical teams. But when Vidic is back and up to speed I expect the MU defence to tighten up. Rafael was awesome in the run in last season. So short answer is don't expect much for three weeks.

    Reasons I love FPL:

    A. Buying Suarez and getting (so far) a return of 2, 2, 1.

    B. Selling Baines the week he finally, after 2 months, gets a decent score.

    c. Buying Ridgewell the week he just happens to be dropped.

    d. Selling Michu in GW12. He then goes on to get a 9, 8, 3, 16.

      A. Tick (though I got his returns the week before too)
      B. Tick (though Enrique, his replacement, got a clean sheet so not the end of the world)
      C. Talked out of taking in Michu in Starting 11 and he gets 15 points (promptly in for GW2)
      D. Ditching Podolski GW2 then he gets 10, 10 (though not bad in the long term)
      E. Taking in Bale for him to get booked then come off injured the same week.

Still top of my ML. Woo.

I have to say that if, like me, you own Michu AND Fellaini 1 big mid (be it Mata, Bale, Caz or someone esle) is all that is needed as those 2 are scoring like big hitting mids.

the only real issue is where do you spend the extra cash, it's not like many of the expensive options up front are on form right now.

Am rather blindly keeping faith in Santi, but also love having another big hitter in Bale just the same -- I want at least 3/4 mids firing each week with this setup, so the streakier forwards can just do things on their own time. Not sure if two budget miss can ensure that.

    Hi guys, need some help

    begovic (mannone)
    rafael enrique cueller davies (demel)
    michu fellaini cazorla sterling (bale)
    berbatov rvp fletcher

Have 1Ft and 1.7m in the bank....no idea what moves to make next but here are the options:
A: rafael >> baines....worried about rafaels gametime after he was subbed off early
B: berba >> defoe...but not too keen on this
C: Save FT and use the cash to upgrade fletcher after the dgw

I wouldn't do Rafa to Baines, sure he got an assist this week but I think it was nine games since he had got one before that. I would leave Rafa on bench for just now until we see what his position is going to be following Reading. Also, MU have much nicer Christmas fixtures than Everton.

Fulham have good fixtures too, so I would hold onto Berbatov.

I would be tempted by Fletcher > Defoe following DGW.
