Has your UEFA Champions League Fantasy lineup capitulated? Perhaps you’ve been a victim of the seemingly endless problems suffered by the official game? In a bid to maintain interest in this season’s tournament from a Fantasy perspective, we’ve partnered with TotelFootball for the remainder of the tournament.
TotelFootball is a Fantasy football game that covers the Premier League, the top leagues in Europe and the Champions League and gives you the opportunity to place a stake on your team selection, with the chance to win cash prizes.
We’ve struck a deal to give our community up to £100 in free bets for those who fancy registering an account and having a dip. When you register your team via this link, TotelFootball will match any initial deposit you make in your account, up to a value of £100.
Not only that, for this week’s matches, any team that beats our lineup (FFScout_Mark) in either Tuesday’s or Wednesday’s games, will get their stake for that game refunded. So, if you reckon you can beat our selections, you’ve little to lose by having a punt this week.
Here’s a rundown of our squads in place right now…
Tuesday’s XI
For this evening’s eight matches, we’re doubling up on four home sides. Real Madrid pair Fabio Coentrao and Cristiano Ronaldo get the nod ahead as Ajax make their way to the Bernabeu, while PSG duo Maxwell and Zlatan Ibrahimovic entertain Porto – a win for the hosts would see them top Group A.
We’re backing Milan to see off Zenit – with the visitors having lost both their away games so far, Mattia De Sciglio and out of position prospect Stephan El Shaaraway stake a claim for inclusion. Malaga pair Wilfredo Caballero and Juaquin also get the nod ahead of Anderlecht’s visit – the Spanish side have scored four goals without reply in their two home games so far.
Elsewhere, Marco Reus, with three goals in his last four, is selected for Dortmund’s home showdown against City, former QPR left-back Taye Taiwo faces a Dinamo Zagreb side that has yet to score this season, while Montpellier’s highly-rated Younes Belhanda has already notched twice and will be hoping to end his campaign in style as the Ligue 1 side host Schalke.
Wednesday’s XI
Tomorrow evening, we’re banking on Rafa Benitez to engineer his first win as Chelsea boss. David Luiz gets the nod as a defensive differential, while Juan Mata looks the only real man in form for the Blues. Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique find a place in our XI as Barcelona welcome Benfica to the Nou Camp, while Franck Ribery and Philipp Lahm are drafted in as Bayern entertain Bate Borisov with a win required to top their group.
Wayne Rooney is also included after Sir Alex Ferguson revealed earlier today he will start against Cluj, while Alexander Buttner should replace Patrice Evra at left-back and looks a decent differential. We’re keeping faith in Henrik Mkhitaryan as an out of position prospect as Shakhtar welcome Juventus, Valencia’s midfield schemer Alberto Costa gets the nod ahead of a trip to Lille, and Celtic’s Fraser Foster earns his place between the sticks as Neil Lennon’s side look to keep out Spartak Moscow and seal a place in the final 16.
TotelFootball – How Does it Work?
The Champions League game runs every matchday, so there’s a Tuesday and a Wednesday game every round.
You’ll need to register your team before the matchday commences at 7.45 each night.
There’s no budget for selecting your squad, just pick the starting XI and subs bench that you think will score the most points in a matchday’s round of fixtures. You must select within a 4-4-2 formation with your subs for each position replacing any player in your starting XI who doesn’t play.
You can pick two players per club, although you are permitted to pick more, with a -5 points “quota penalty” applied each time. This is kind of like the extra transfer penalty applied in Fantasy Premier League, only this is applied when you break the two player per team rule.

Finally, a reminder that TotelFootball is only available to those aged over 18 and over and, if you’re going to take up this offer and play, please gamble responsibly.
