Up next, we’ve a quick round-up of the Paddy Power Fantasy Football Cup VII Round Four Results played out over last weekend. Mark’s conqueror in the previous round, The Shadow, saw his hopes finally evaporate with a 49 – 53 loss to Donaldo.

Our last remaining previous winner, donnellyc, also tasted defeat, going down 47-53 to davescold, though world number two Iyad Zahlan remains in the hat – he marched into the last 64 with a 56 – 45 win over Bigo1.

We’re currently sorting out the next round of fixtures behind the scenes and should have the draw for the last 64 with you by tomorrow morning.

        Cheers. And I looked at Chris Glover's Silva stats again and they're different this time. Not the decline I first thought. (The player selection seems to play up a bit, because the first time I selected him it selected Hazard for me instead).
        
        So no problem for him but a selection problem for me. Silva or Walcott > Bale?

        See how they both get on I guess. I'm not Walcott's biggest fan but I also know there is limitations to Silva's FPL appeal. Walcott clearly would seem to have a bigger goal threat. But then Walcott can disappear in some games like the last one against Swansea. He had no shots at all which seems mad.
        
        The form of both teams is kind of worrying. Arsenal are struggling to create and City are struggling to dominate like they used to. Bale when fit certainly seems more essential than the two of them. But it's really a wait and see thing. They both have potential. Walcott could be more explosive but more likely to let you down than Silva 🙂

I don't think anyone knows how City's exit from Europe will affect rotation. It might also affect different players differently.

For example, it's actually made me feel more comfortable about selling Tevez but more wary of Aguero. I think Aguero will play most games now. I also think Tevez will no longer benefit from Aguero starting almost exclusively in CL games and share some of his game-time with Balotelli and Dzeko, who surely won't just not play now.

        Agree with you there. The whole 'simulation' rule just makes it complicated for the referees, and I would prefer it to be done away with. It's got to the stage where some refs think they've got to give either a free kick or a booking - and the fans certainly bay for one or the other. The ref should give a foul if he thinks it's the case, and nothing if he either is convinced there wasn't one, or he's unsure. Then let those with access to slow motion, common sense and more than just a split-second to decide if someone is cheating.

  I think players would do themselves a massive favour if they didn't make such a massive meal of it. It's obviously possible to dive either to avoid getting injured, or just because they're running at pace and get clipped slightly - but when they clutch at their shins and scream like a girl, or roll around like they've been shot, then the tendency is to think they've dived.

  i would suggest that you log in one hour prior to the deadline. Have your subs made then press the button once lineups are confirmed. UEFA site is know to crash prior to kick off.
