As Man United approach an eye-catching run of games which could potentially see Sir Alex Ferguson’s side rack up the Fantasy returns, Wayne Rooney has staked a strong claim for consideration after bagging a brace for the second Gameweek in succession. Rooney’s stock has suffered a significant drop this season due to the arrival of Robin Van Persie but as the campaign unfolds, he’s starting to look a real differential, with many Fantasy managers even considering both forwards for a run of games which sees the Red Devils welcome Sunderland, Newcastle and West Brom to Old Trafford, in addition to trips to Swansea and Wigan in the next five:

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Ruddy or Mig out this week?

Who to? Got 0.4 in the bank.

Defence is Cameron, Enrique, Ridgwell Demel and Clyne

    RVP vs Rooney

Now that they are playing more as a partnership, there is very little to choose between them and Rooney being 2m cheaper would seem to be the better value option. If I was on a wildcard I may well go with Rooney instead of RVP.

The problem is, without a WC, I have always got more pressing transfers than a sideways move such as this, so it would cost a hit plus then another transfer to actually spend the spare funds.

When you only have 2 players left to save your GW, I hate it when one of them is your captain who needs to score as many as possible and the other is your GK who you need to keep a CS

It's then you start praying for daft things like penalty saves.

    All a bit silly really

Well a goal from your captain is going to be worth more than a CS so I would pray for that

Personally I am praying for 2-1 with the following:

      1. two goals from Sessegnon.
      2. a penalty save from Federici [peno taken by AJ]
      3. a goal from Morrison, whose ankle miraculously healed.
      4. Fletcher to watch from the stands.

This would bring my GW points up to somewhere around the average.

Rooney is so tempting but for me it'd have to be doubling up and I can't bring myself to do it with Demba staying put and with Suarez's current fixtures. Could change depending on how Luis performs, my patience will wear thin and if he goes, it's for rooney or crawling back to tevez.

A guy above me in one of my works ML has made only 3 transfers this season so far! 😯

I know we spend alot of time on here discussing transfer strategies, but when luck plays a big part in this game, I'm thinking sometimes it's better have patience and leave my team alone, especially when it comes to the big hitters. Swapping them around for last weeks points is so frustrating.

...and yes, I'm keeping Berbatov. 😉

I made no transfers this week, despite the DGW, even with tonights game still to go, I think I will get more points than most this week.

The problem is, people transfer in good players, if they dont score one week, they then transfer them out for average players that scored last week!!!

      Just dumb.

*picks himself up from the floor* RonH agrees with me. 😯

I feel strangely elated, and alittle afraid. 😉

Who is most likely to make way for Assou-Ekotto when he's fit again, Caulker or Gallas?

    Absolutely fantastic article Paul, kudos.

While it is a risk having the both of them in your team, I think over the next 5 gameweeks their combined score will be more than any other pair of strikers out there

Tevez or Suarez might just outscore one of the pair in each of those gameweeks?

Sessegnon > Dempsey (Bale when fit) my best move?

    or

    Ridgewell > Sagna/Caulker/Cameron

    Begovic Mignolet

    Rafael Ridgewell Cuellar Shorey Clyne

    Theo Fellaini Michu Sessegnon Puncheon

    RVP Suarez Berbatov
