While Sunday brought a rather tepid conclusion to the weekend’s action, the lack of incident allowed us more time to digest the numbers behind the Gameweek so far. In this latest foray into the depths of our members data, we offer further insight on the performances of Adel Taarabt, Raheem Sterling and David Silva not only for this weekend, but the last four Gameweeks and season so far. As for Glen Johnson, well, we’ll let the numbers do the talking…

43 points, with 3 Arsenal players to go.
Left Jussi on my bench 🙁Open Controls-

Come on the double Arsenal def!! I've got Sagna and Gibbs myself 😀

Barry returning from suspension and Garcia playing well against Newcastle, could we see Yaya pushed up further? Especially if Nasri's injury is more serious.
Open Controls -
Whats with all the yaya love? Tends to only do well when city are chasing games and push him further upfield so any (limited) FPL returns will come during tricky fixtures just after everyone has become fed up and ditched him. Also this gives him a low upside as he is unlikely to be greatly involved in any high scoring wins. Didn't understand this bandwagon at the start of the season, dont understand it now...
Open Controls-
He's had more shots inside the box than Silva over the last 4 gameweeks. Yes, he does defensive work, but he loves to push forward into the box when he can. I think there are better options personally but i can see his appeal. Decent price too.
Open Controls -
The bandwagon at the start was based on him going ASSIST/GOAL/GOAL in 3 games. Up until the last two matches he did next to nothing.
Open Controls-
Actually there was no real bandwagon...he was owned by thousands already. So it was just a lucky start which sparked arguments that he was 'well worth it'
Open Controls -
He has 4 players more advanced than him. Nasri, Silva, and 2 frontmen. It's a big punt at 7.7m.
Open Controls-
True, his goals have usually just come from being in the right place at the right time. Decent finisher but he's hard to have any faith in unless you use arguments about 'coverage'
Open Controls
-
-
-
But in spite of all his warts he is the 7th highest scoring midfielder in the game. He's absolutely nailed on for the Xmas period, and is a bonus magnet in low-scoring games. If you can't afford Silva/Mata/Bale and need a replacement for Fellaini, there are worse options.
Open Controls-
His points have come in two clumps - including Liverpool away, Newcastle away and Manchester United... He mostly scores in baps which are notoriously difficult to predict making him a prime candidate for regression
Open Controls-
One thing we do know about bonus points is that they usually go to players on the winning team. Let's look at the next 4 games
H-Reading
A-Sunderland
A-Norwich
H-Stoke
I think City should win all 4 games, and will keep clean sheets in at least 3. That's 11 points and there's no threat of rotation. I don't think he's as good as Silva, but I would think very hard before taking a hit and downgrading elsewhere to get Silva instead.Open Controls

Hi Guys
Need a bit of help with my team dilemma….chasing points in my ml and majority have doubled up on RVP+Roonpig so I was planning to do Bale to Mata tonight but thanks to afro man I have to change that.
So here is my options as I am seriously considering captaining Kun next week or do I give in and follow with the ManU double up or go for glory?
A: Fellaini + Defoe < Puncheon + Aguero
B: Fellaini + Defoe < Puncheon + Tevez/Torres
C:Fellaini + Suarez < Puncheon + Roonpig
D: Bale + Fellaini < Puncheon + Mata
E: ????
CheersOpen Controls-

A imo
Open Controls

A) Fellaini > Mata/Bale
B) Fellaini > Tarrabt
C) Fellaini + Sess > Mata/Bale + Tarrabt (-4 Hit)
My Front 8 is: Silva, Michu, Fellaini, Sess, Sterling, RVP, Suarez, Berb.
1 FT 2.5 In the bank
Any thoughts?Open Controls -

It's actually pretty good. They were terrible this week, but there is no reason to knee-jerk. They have a much better record than Everton, and Johnson is on fire and full of confidence.

Hmm Yaya has a better ppg than Silva...
This and fact he's going to play every game, anyone think he's a better option than Silva?Open Controls -
If both were fit and nailed on, who would you get?
Vertonghen (6.3m) or BAE(6.0m)Open Controls -
Is it too early to do Fellaini -> Michu, or should I hold fire for now?
Open Controls -
In other news.....is Scott Sinclair dead or something?
Open Controls-

True that. What an awful decision it was for him to join City. Although he's raking in the CA$H.

One last chance for me this GW.

For £15 you could have your answer 😉 I'll give you this though, Puncheon is better 'value' imo.

Aguero v Reading. Does anyone else see a potential massacre?
Open Controls-
He's my captain 🙂
Open Controls -
Potentially but could be benched due to busy christmas fixture list upcoming and mancini wanting him fresh for the more difficult away games
Open Controls-
That is a concern.
Open Controls

Yes, so much that I am considering bringing in Danny Guthrie into my team to fund it.
Open Controls-
LOOOOOOL. I thought I was the only one!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought you said Danny Graham for a second 😉

Everyone seems to be decided that Mata and Bale are probably the two best big midfielders. But with Defoe at such a good price, surely Mata and Silva should be the preferred combo, especially as Bale is on the tightrope.
Open Controls-
You are all forgetting......Dempsey 😀
It was mentioned earlier that with Ade injured, Clint might be pushed further up. 🙂Open Controls-
I think it's you and me that got Demps Shirkov 😛
Open Controls-
+ the Count of Monte Hristo 😀
Open Controls

I can't believe how poor he was today...what's happened to him ?..not been good for him this move at all..
Open Controls-
He has been playing too deep for him to be at his best.
Open Controls
-
-
-
Yup .......I would rather bring in Mata now than Bale if I didnt have him already.
Open Controls-
Yes , and what lots of people are forgetting about Bale is hes coming back from an injury , he has been out long enough for it to have effected his form. There is aso no guarantee he will be back this week, especially against a tough physical side like Stoke. Even if he does start it could be from the bench
Open Controls
-
-
Defoe is also on the tightrope now though...
Open Controls-
A good point.
Open Controls
-
-
Planning to have all three, maybe Aguero as well.
Open Controls-
The approach i have taken is to go for another cheap mid and bring in Aguero. Decided no point having any other attacking tottenham cover than Bale so will go without , might do Suarez to Toorres if chelsea start going mental , however cnt see them getting that much against villa
Open Controls
-
-
Are you drunk? 🙂
I don't think there should be a preferred combo but Bale is clearly more explosive than Silva because he scores goals or at least he has been regularly of late.Open Controls
-
-
-
OMG annoying
Open Controls
-
-
Is Fellaini > Oscar too high risk?
Open Controls-
P'raps a good differential over crimbo, but you'd think fat Frank would annoyingly take his place on many occasions.
Open Controls -
yeah - especially now he's being rotated with Moses
Open Controls -
yes, rafa the destroyer, rotation master
Open Controls -
Sterling set for another rise to bring his price up to 5.8. 😯
Can't understand why people are getting him, if I didn't get him at 4.5 I wouldn't still have him.Open Controls

this is a reallt lame pet hate but i HATE when someone asks for a score prediction of a match coming up and it's followed by like 20 replies of people simply listing a perfect scenario for their players. just seems utterly pointless
Open Controls-
Leave it be, it keeps them sane.
Open Controls -
Almost as annoying as when people ask for score predictions of their FPL teams.
Open Controls-
This is worse
Open Controls
-
-
Oooh, pet peeves!
I think people who can't write could/should/would *HAVE* - instead of 'of' - should have their eyebrows shaved off.Open Controls-
+1
That really annoys me!Open Controls

That's why I like to spice it up with a few predictions of 'Tremmel assists' etc

Can’t decide, help me out guys…
2.5m in the bank and 2FT’s.
A) Fellaini > Yaya + Berbs > Torres
B) Fellaini > Mata + Berbs > Benteke
C) JUST Fellaini > Mata/Yaya and keep Berbs due to favourable fixtures?Open Controls -
Baines is doing my head in these days; probably time for him to go but got more pressing concerns this week with Fellaini! Will probably wait for the ban to be announced.
A) Fellaini ---> Mata
B) Fellaini ---> Silva
C) Fellaini ---> Bale

Wenger: "Our results are quite consistent and good away from home. We had a good game against West Brom (and) it's important to confirm that in our next away game.
"If you look at our season at the moment, we have not produced our performances at home, away our results are in the same bracket as the two top teams.
"Where we have lost the points is we made too many draws at home. Manchester United are top of the league, six points ahead. They have lost three games, we have lost four.
"We had more draws, especially at home, that is where we have lost the points."

Wenger making dumb comments.
Arsenal have drew 2 at home & 4 away. Utd have drew none.

Unreal, any word on Fletcher? What was his injury? He seemed to signal to be taken off immediately, that can't be good? I hope he is fit for Southampton.
Open Controls -
Is Morrison still the best option if I were to bring in a WBA midfielder?
Open Controls-
brunt is good
Open Controls -
Gera or Brunt are good too. Morrison will be deep for at least next game while Useless Mulumbu is suspended (he's not useless though I joke)
Open Controls -
him or Gera - but they seem to be faltering a bit, though their fixtures are brilliant
