The hot favourite was sent packing from the quarter finals last weekend, as former world number one Iyad Zahlan was swept aside by “MileHigh” by 80 points to 46. The latter now moves up to 58th in the overall standings and will be joined in the last four by Wild Rover, who edged past Tommy Tynans Left Shin Pad by two points in a battle of the site regulars.

Kun Nguyen also earned a place in the semi-finals with an upset of his own, defeating JMS 65-58, while David Bevan’s “Ange1Range1” scraped through on overall rank after drawing 50-50 with another familiar name on site, Ricky Smokes Lets Go.

The Semi-Final draw will follow later this week, with the last four clashing in Gameweek 22 as we take a break for the New Year’s Day programme. Those now involved now have the option to ponder whether to play their January Wildcards prior to their Gameweek 22 tie. Tense stuff.

        I like Lambert but problem with that is benching one of the front 8 each week - at least with Pog I wouldn't mind benching him - plus it would give some funds back to spend on defence.

        Will probably just bottle it and have to choose between Bale / Mata... or just transfer them in / out regularly and try and catch their big scores.

    Given the current state of my team, especially defence, I think I'm going to have to wild card straight away - and then hope to carry 2 free transfers through to the end of the month to use for any last minute transfers.

    At least playing the WC tomorrow means 2 whole weeks of tinkering fun 😀

            Sagna is clearly a much better player than Jenkinson, but he's an England International. He's not a pub player. He is more than capable of playing against the saints.

    This week looks to me very much like a 'transitional' week when the transfers you don't make are as important as the ones you do. With doubts over Fellaini being one to get for this week, rest concerns over Mata, Bale coming back in a week and fixtures poor for Arsenal, saving a transfer and relying on the points not going according to the script might be the most sensible thing. Michu looking likely to start has made this much easier.

    Just a few things:

    Podolski could be worth buying early, playing well and has Soton next, good DGW prospect too.
    Stevie G could be a great replacement for Bale, even for a couple of weeks. He's gotten consistent returns for the past 4 weeks and has the fixtures.

      I'm considering Defoe to Podolski in GW23 and then keeping as Arsenal have a long run of mostly good fixtures but really not sure about him.

      Gerrard's consistent returns have conincided with Liverpool's strong fixtures, they take a turn for the worse soon. As a short term move its sound.

        I've found it tough to consider Pod again as well but am thinking that the Arsenal attack is looking much better these days. As for Stevie I agree completely, would have him for the Sunderland and United game. He's a good option though and a differential when people are looking to bring in Chelsea mids.

          Looking at Pod's scores, there are a lot of 2 pointers which maybe isn't that surprising given his position. 3 of his 4 double digit scores have come in unusual games, the Reading/Newcastle scorlines rarely happen and against Spurs they had a man advantage for nearly the whole match.

          I'm not sure, muct paying attention during tomorrow's televised game.

        Price not an issue, Yaya out after this week for ACON Which was my original intention, bought Nolan last week for DGW but with Michu also possibly out keeping Nolan only leaves me with 3 midfielders whereas I prefer to play 4
