In case you missed last night’s message – happy new year to you all!

There’s no time to shake the fuzzy heads, 2013 starts right here for Fantasy managers with seven Premier League matches and another 11.30 deadline ahead of us. This is the final straight of what has been an exhausting but exhilarating festive spell and, as always on deadline day, we’ve opened up our Matchday Surgery chatroom for one last time before the break for FA Cup football next weekend. No shouting please.

Our first Dugout Discussion of the year follows at 12.30 ahead of Fulham’s trip to West Brom. Sadly, there’s no preamble this morning – I’ve been up early, sans hangover, tinkering and testing Rate My Team and the Hall of Fame for roll out later today. It’s looking good and we should be live with those features shortly after the final whistle from today’s three o’clock matches.

      it depends on what happens this week
      like if a player gets a hatrick or a big earner gets injured or banned you will be ahead in the price evaluation
      like for example if mata gets a hatrick today then i will buy him and keep him till the deadline and then decide if i want to keep him in my team
      i can win his price rise without even playing 1 min for me

      A key factor is how many slots you use to build team value. That will depend how many changes you need to make with the WC. Most teams will only be making 3-4 changes with the WC. If you're making wholesale changes you could gain more value.

        Ahhh.. thanks. Am pretty happy with my team. But my team value is in the toilet as I didn't start my season until GW 9. (Was left practically unmanaged whilst I was away).

        Yeah I noticed you have kept a hold of the Sess. Happy sticking with Mignolet + Cuellar but I think I would prefer getting Afroman back in. Sess has looked a threat in recent games though.

      i dnt know but he wasnt on the bench lately
      actually everytime he was in the squad, he was starting since gw12, never on the bench
