In case you missed last night’s message – happy new year to you all!

There’s no time to shake the fuzzy heads, 2013 starts right here for Fantasy managers with seven Premier League matches and another 11.30 deadline ahead of us. This is the final straight of what has been an exhausting but exhilarating festive spell and, as always on deadline day, we’ve opened up our Matchday Surgery chatroom for one last time before the break for FA Cup football next weekend. No shouting please.

Our first Dugout Discussion of the year follows at 12.30 ahead of Fulham’s trip to West Brom. Sadly, there’s no preamble this morning – I’ve been up early, sans hangover, tinkering and testing Rate My Team and the Hall of Fame for roll out later today. It’s looking good and we should be live with those features shortly after the final whistle from today’s three o’clock matches.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      I had the same dilemma myself as I wanted Spurs coverage against Reading in Bale's absence. Decided to stick with Berba in the end (need to give him some games now Ruiz is back) and added your Grav to my team. Go Jan! 😀

      Bego. I know it's a horrible fixture but it's the type of fixture that Stoke will just sit back and defend which is what the dirty horrible scum bag of a football team do best.

    Contemplating between all of RVP, Michu, Walcott, Suarez, Mata and Ba all for captain, if Bale wasn't suspended I'd be having a major headache right now.

    I fancy Wigan to put up a fight but RVP vs Wigan should be captain every day.

        True but I dont see why Ba wont start now, he is still a Newcastle player and after Pardew's comments he is planning on it staying that way. Home to Everton who cant keep a clean sheet (and he scored 2 vs them in 45 minutes at Goodison Park)

    Personally i wouldn't fancy captaining a chelsea player today. Redknapp will use the defensive tactics he used in the second half vs liverpool - he will not fancy being thrashed.

    Also, benitez loves to rotate and he'll see this as an easy game. Even mata could be dropped imo
