Back for 2013, fully refreshed, slightly rusty and balancing the same chips on our shoulders, Granville are I make a return to the podcast studio.

The New Year presents my beleaguered co-host with a 51-point gap to bridge as I spent Christmas β€œho-ho-ing” about three midfield hat-tricks, leaving Granville to roll out one mighty miffed in this week’s episode.

Elsewhere, we pick at the double Gameweek buffet, eagerly scoffing on the Chelsea canapΓ©s whilst wondering if Rafa has hidden something nasty in the vol-a-vents. We rinse that down with the latest transfers in and out in β€œall aboard”, preview all the weekend fixtures and carry out the latest emergency surgery on the ailing ScoutCast team.

Normal service is resumed via this link or you can pour this straight into your ears via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

In the past I've naively backed dgw's for mid-table clubs etc and been burnt, so I know it doesn't always work out. There's always a better chance of points with the top 4 though.

Put it this way, if a handful of chelsea and arsenal get double figure scores and you hesitated to bring in any, then that's just silly..

Hi guys, I usually try to avoid team posts but I'm stumped here. Should I go A. or B.?

    A.
    Begovic - Federici
    Naughton - Demel - B.Davies - R.Martin - Luiz
Mata - Walcott - Santi Caz - Marveaux - Fellaini
    RVP - Suarez - Ba

    or

    B.
    Begovic - Federici
    Naughton - Demel - B.Davies - R.Martin - Kilgallon
Mata - Walcott - Santi Caz - Marveaux - Hazard (Any CHE mid really)
    RVP - Suarez - Ba

It's basically a choice between Luiz & Fellaini or Kilgallon & Hazard/Chelsea Mid.

I'd love an opinion if you'd be so kind!

    Hey guys

This is my team for the DGW

    Bego (cerney)
    Zabaleta Gibbs Luis Wilson Demel
    Bale Walcott Michu Mata Ramirez
    RvP Ba Lambert

What do you think of this for a plan for DGW2 (-4)

    Ramirez – Cazorla
    Lambert – Cole (WHam)

And then the next week for a -4 point hit

    Cazorla – Fellani
    Cole – Sturridge

Can do it provided Fellani & cole don’t rise by more than 0.3 combined

WC Team sorted πŸ™‚ 3 Chelsea players this week and 3 DGW players next week while keeping my season long favourites πŸ™‚
(A bank balance of 107.6m helped)

    Szezsney bunn
    Baines Luiz Zaba Demel Briggs
    Bale Mata Felaini Walcot Maveraux
    Van Persie Berbatov Ba

I like it but any suggestions?

If you like it and you managed to get to 107.6 in value then I think go for it. Luck plays a big part in this game and so if you like the team then sign off on it and smile. πŸ™‚

My own opinion is that it's a great team.

Best combo for DGW (using WC after for GW23):

    1. Lambert and Hazard (-4)
    or
    2. Ba and Walcott.

    Chasing a bit in mini-leagues.

What do you think of Cuellar to Cahill for my FT? It would leave me with this team:

    Begovic
    Johnson, Cahill, O'Brien
    Mata(c), Puncheon, Michu, Walcott
    RVP, Suarez, Ba

    Subs: Tremmel, Cameron, Sterling, Shorey

Good move but O'Brien is injured and Shorey will probably be benched. Cuellar looks to have a slightly better chance of playing than those 2.

It's a tricky situation. I can't afford Shorey to Cahill but can afford O'Brien to Cahill but that would mean taking out a DGWer which I don't really want to do.

I think Azpi is the one who'll get replaced by Terry with Ivan going to RB. I don't think Terry will be risked vs. Stoke anyway (if he's fit) and the Southampton game could go either way for me. I don't want to take a hit to get a Chelsea defender, neither do I want to take out Johnson a game before Norwich at home.

The Johnson point is a good one and i don't really want to sell him either. Makes me want to get Turnbull although it looks like Cech has a chance of making the Stoke game so that may well be a complete no go

This DGW is a mess. Can't wait for this GW to be over and it hasn't even started yet. The only players who looked useful for the DGW were defenders, Mata and Ba and even they are uncertain of starting games. Just watch someone like Oscar be the top scoring Chelsea player πŸ™‚

RVP is set to rise tonight and Berba is on 90%. Im on my wildcard and dont have RVP yet but do want him in my WC team. Do I sell Berba for RVP tonight and have RVP worth 14.1 sale value 14.0. Or stick and hope berba, who I bought for 7.0, rises to 7.2 tomorrow so I can sell for 7.1 and then buy RVP with the extra money?

    Hope that makes sense.
