With two goals and an assist in his first two outings for Newcatle, it’s fair to say that Moussa Sissoko has announced his arrival in the Premier League with a bang. Fantasy managers have taken little time to react. Sissoko has earned over 80,000 new owners in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) in the last six days, second only to the Liverpool assets who are about to enjoy two fixtures in the Gameweek.

Sissoko’s immediate appeal is obvious – thrust into a “number 10” role in support of Papiss Cisse from a central position in Newcastle’s attacking midfield three, the omens look good for continued profit to put a smile on the face of Alan Pardew and Sissoko’s new owners alike.

Is he the real deal? With just two appearances so far, the data available affords a limited sample but can, nonetheless, offer a barometer to Sissoko’s potential next to the established midfielders on offer. In this latest article for members, we investigate how Sissoko’s numbers stack up, both against the Premier League’s best and the assets on offer in Alan Pardew’s squad.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I just think that the defense could be better, Sagna and Cameron for Man City defenders that i think they have a good probability of Clean Sheets 😉 but i don't know if you have the money. But it's a very good team 🙂 Even

Guys I haven’t had much time to plan, so I’m running this by you: Which one looks best?

    A. Suarez (C), Gerrard, Enrique, Michu, Davies (FOR FREE)
    - – - (4PH next week)

    B. Bale instead of Gerrard and bank the FT.
    - – - All my ML rivals have bought Gerrard and I have just an 8 point lead at the top.

In the words of Charlie Brooker:

"As a consumer, you implicitly understand that each time you buy a "value" meat product you are entering into a gentleman's agreement with the producer. Your end of the deal: you won't ask awkward questions and you'll swallow as fast as you can. Their end: they'll program their slaughtering robots to pick out any visible toenails and mince the eyelids so finely you won't feel the lashes tickling your throat on the way down. You paid 10p and ate something vaguely carcass-flavoured: you're fully aware you're eating meat regurgitated through a sieve in the Twilight Zone. You know damn well the tuppenny beef disc you're chewing consists of sinewy globules and bloody tumours sluiced off a malformed skeleton by a high-pressure hose in a flyblown abattoir, smashed into patties by an automated fist-pounding machine, bulked out with sawdust and fishfood and papier-mache, packed into boxes and piled high for economy of scale. "

Zaba is a good pick this weekend. I assume you have at least 3 DGW players.

I'd only bring in a defender for Zaba you intend to keep long term and can play 11 next week without taking hits, otherwise leave it.

    2 questions, still undecided:

    1) Federici or Mignolet?

    2) Ruiz, Harte or Puncheon?

    currently on Mignolet and Ruiz.

    Evening all

Had to take a hit this week for Gerrard (C) but hopefully have a strong team. Mind you had to get rid of Azp for Betrand though both are a rotation risk!

    Thoughts on this team?

    Bego

    Betrand, Zaba, Martin R

Michu (x2), Gerrard (Cx2), Walcott, Mata

    Suarez (x2), RVP, Giroud

    Subs: o'brien, mariappa, guthrie

rates, didn't want to get in a Liverpool defender, would be 8 point hits, not really worth it imo considering the blank.

No i've actually put Martin first sub as there is quite a good chance of a CS at home to Fulham and I don't see Reading scoring. Plus, R.Martin is probably more likely to score than Pog! 😛

About to leave work and take the train to London so about to disappear! Might not get a chance to continue pointlessly agonizing in the deadzone so reckoned I should let you know now particularly given my plans...

After signing their Frenchies and playing well Newcastle suddenly look like a proper match for Spurs and I don't have Gerrard, so I really am finding it difficult to ignore the Bale > Gerrard transfer (instead of the RVP > Suarez one I'd planned in the WC). Annoying because I'm still not keen on keeping the Dutch master with Rooney around, but thought I'd let you know since we'd talked about it earlier.

Yeah same, in hindsight I should have got Rooney instead of RVP in the wildcard and be done with it. Bale can strike whenever, he's a bit of a terror, I'll get him back in for the whm game in GW27 don't worry - great away form too 😉
