      Good point! I'd forgotten this, also my cup opponent has Sturridge and his first sub is Clyne! It's a lot to hope for, but would be a nice fall back if it did happen.

      After. But the general consensus was that he'd be fine, and I had no choice anyway, because I couldn't feasibly get Gerrard or Suarez anyway

      Obviously before, i have Suarez(c) but i still wanted Sturridge to start because i missed out on RVPs points. DID RVP to Suarez instead of Ditching Aguero. 🙂

      Got him on my WC 2 weeks ago.

      Gambled on him being fit.

      Got no Gerrard or Suarez either, and VC armband on Mate instead of Michu but hey, I've got 2 f****ing free transfers next GW so lucky me, eh!!!

    Whatever anyone says about Sturridge, I don't think it's possible he's not going to recover in 7 days. A fitness test today indicates he was close.

      But I'm taking solace in the fact that Antolin Alcaraz had a late fitness test ahead of Wigan's game on September 22nd. He still hasn't returned from the injury!

      Unless you vice-captained Mata of course. Like I stupidly did.

      What makes it worse is I had the mouse hovering on confirm for Gerrard to Mata and then decided not to do it because I didn't want to have to take a points hit next week to get rid of 2 Liverpool players in order to be able to put out an XI.

      Had I had got Gerrard I would have captained him and anything Studge got would have been a bonus.

      Dumb move that will come back to haunt me tonight.

    This week was never gonna be my week, was gonna captain Sturridge but because of injury doubt so was going to captain Mata, I changed to Silva as thought there would be a landside at st marys....it turns out that was the best move...a 4 point week. Marvellous!
