Down to the last 16 in the Scout Members cup, then, and there are plenty of big hitters still in with a shout of the silverware. Seven of the current top 1,000 in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game have progressed to this point – two of those players go head-to-head, as Stewpot squares up to Eunuch Jelly, while Avenger, drakesdrum, fodowd, sbg and mcginley50 will be favourites to progress in their respective ties. The latter is the highest ranked player left in the tournament (155th overall), while former winner fuzzy dunlop will be hoping to capture the cup once again:

1 Maddocio Vs. Rodallega Bombs
2 stewpot Vs. Eunuch Jelly
3 mcginley50 Vs. cuihe_508
4 Fuzzy Dunlop Vs. HitHappens
5 Avenger Vs. www.msospace.com
6 12 inch of fury Vs. drakesdrum
7 Acquafresca Vs. fodowd
8 HeartOfTheCity Vs. bgs

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Sir Alex Ferguson: "They played last Friday and they are playing tonight. Once I know later this evening how many minutes each player has played, I will start to think about my team for Saturday."

A sign of things to come? Rooney and RVP.

I don't think its going to happen but can live in hope! Maybe he'll forget his lucky pants and have to rush back to the hotel then when he is going back to the stadium his taxi gets lost and he is only able to make the last 15 minutes.

I can't believe nobody remembers is!

Bould needed to get to 10 games for a medal in the season before he retired, so he was brought on for a cameo at the end of a few games, as a right winger in one case if I remember correctly 😀 Anyway, he needed one more game, and it was the last game of the season. Parlour and Wenger must have planned this, because Arsene had already made 2 subs and called Parlour off the bench and got him stripped and ready to come on the pitch, gave him instructions in front of Bould and just waited to see if he would say anything. Bould just sat there, fuming, before they turned around and burst out laughing at him 😆

I thought it was Bould, as I remember him running down the right wing and finding it hilarious ... unless this was a separate example of Bould just getting a late sub appearance for the same reason.

Over here we normally write odds in fraction so 5.5 would be 13/2 and 1.6 would be 6/10 (not a price you would ever see it would probably be 8/13).

I think they ok picks same as any others with reasonable scores though.

I have lots of doubts in my midfield this week, and it's causing a problem.
I want to get Cazorla this week.

    Midfield:
    Bale Mata Walcott Michu Puncheon

    Should i:

    A) Michu -> Caz, take the crappy defender on the chin, it will set you up for the DGW
    B) Mata -> Caz, take a gamble that Chelsea will not get a DGW or Mata will be benched for a game
    C) Walcott -> Caz, get Walcott in again next week, it's worth using an additional transfer so you can out a respectable team this week.

Yea I brought Caz in myself for Fellaini very early this week. Would've still done the transfer had I of known about Walcott's injury. I think Michu out if you HAVE TO get rid of any of them. Toughest fixtures in the league for the rest of the season, and the DGW doesn't look THAT good.

      I have a similar problem.

      Midfield:
      Bale Mata Walcott N'Zogbia Puncheon

I was set to do Puncheon -> Noble (or Maloney since Noble's setback), but I now have my heart set on Sturridge -> Berbatov. Should I do this or sort out my midfield. 1 FT, 0.0 in bank, don't take hits (but WC available).

It is a problem. I have no idea what to do 😐 I think any DGW player might be worth a hit. Although your ranking might dip this week, you should get the points back GW33. That's my thinking. I'm tempted just to take -8pt hit and sort it all out. Coleman has a DGW and is cheaper than Puncheon. I might get him, if he gets an assist it will be worth it.

Not 100% sure yet hoping we might get some positive news on Walcott before the weekend! Fellaini out for Yaya was the plan I haven't got the funds to do much else.

I think we'll want Walcott back for the double, provided he's not out long-term. Never been a fan of Yaya, and Fellaini another player I want to get in for the double.

Yeh whichever I sell I will have back for DGW33 and rebuying Walcott would be a lot more expensive than rebuying Fellaini so that will probably swing it.

    @Pepin and ENR

IF I can afford the 2nd option (which looks like depending on Theo and/or Fellaini dropping)

    a) Fab and Azpi/Luiz (if not banned)

    b) Cech and Sagna

Cech is probably the only 100% nailed on guy of the lot, but Azpi should surely play most games and has more threat than Sagna?

What's the latest on Sagna? Haven't been on much but last I was seeing rumors that he may struggle to play for the team again? Wait and see on that, Jenkinson may be an alternative.

Do you really want to 'sink' 6.4m in a goalkeeper? I wouldn't. I personally don't think getting defensive coverage for the DGW's is crucial, but that's just my view.

    Let's be clear here...

Hernandez is going to start the Chelsea match.

He plays a day later than all the European internationals AND he's playing that game in Mexico. Do you really see him starting at 12:30 on Saturday afternoon? I don't!

So he will monitor the minutes of his other strikers for the Chelsea game.

Which means Welbeck is a sure starter for the Sunderland game imo.

I think RVP will start from the bench against Sunderland as a result.

If I were SAF, this is what I'd do. But I'm not, so I guess no one knows until the team sheet's out.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Rooney start both games. RVP and Hernandez faves to start in Stamford Bridge surely.

Its 50-50 between Rooney and RVP. One of them will start Sunderland game. My thinking is Rooney and Hernandez will start FA Cup game.
