Having all but ruled Michu out for the season last week, Michael Laudrup has now revealed heโ€™ll โ€œwait and seeโ€ whether his top scorer is fit to take part against United on Sunday. While a return to action would be a huge boost for the Welsh outfit, the 160,000 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers who sold on the Spaniard this week may regret their decision, with a home clash against Fulham next weekend also on his agenda. Chico could return in the heart of the back-four after missing out against Wigan in midweek, though Angel Rangel is out for the Swans due to a calf complaint.

Moussa Sissoko and Shola Ameobi are ruled out for Newcastleโ€™s last couple of fixtures against QPR and Liverpool. The former missed out against West Ham last weekend and his continued absence could afford Hatem Ben Arfa the role in โ€œthe holeโ€ behind Papiss Cisse once again. Alan Pardew was boosted by the news that Davide Santon and Sylvain Marveaux are both available for the vital trip to Loftus Road after recent injuries.

Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Jonjo Shelvey will be handed the chance to step in for the injured Steven Gerrard over Liverpoolโ€™s final pair of fixtures. In this afternoonโ€™s press conference, the Reds boss also hinted at handing some fringe players a chance to impress over the games against Fulham and QPR:

“Jonjo is a talented player. He is a young player that came here with big expectations and it’s sometimes difficult, but I think he has played quite a lot this year. He’ll come into contention to play, as will some of the other players who have been outstanding in training and trying to demonstrate they want to be in the team.”

Paul Lambert has concerns over the fitness of Matthew Lowton ahead of tomorrowโ€™s home clash with Chelsea. The right-back remains a doubt with the thigh problem that forced him off at Norwich last time out โ€“ Eric Lichaj is on standby to deputise should Lowton fail a late fitness test.

Chris Brunt is back in training for West Brom following a knee problem. James Morrison failed to train earlier today due to a minor toe problem but Steve Clarke has revealed:

” I would be disappointed if heโ€™s not alright for Sunday. We have one or two other little bumps and bruises. But I donโ€™t envisage having any big injury problems at the weekend.”

Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed Mousa Dembele is back for Spursโ€™ trip to Stoke, while Morgan Schneiderlin and Maya Yoshida will be assessed prior to Southamptonโ€™s crucial away clash at Sunderland.

As always, this has all been collected for you in our team news section, where youโ€™ll find our current predicted lineups for the weekend matches.

Rate My Team has been updated earlier this afternoon and keep an eye on our Twitter stream as always, for any late breaking news.

    Baines Vertonghen Luiz (Boyce 3.7)

    Walcott Bale Hazard Mata (Maloney)

      I think that team looks great. I wouldn't take a hit, but I am torn between playing Hazard or Maloney. If Hazard comes off the bench late I will be gutted if Maloney scores in what I expect will be an all-out offensive effort by Wigan at the Emirates.

    Hart
    Zab, Evans, Jagielka (Vert, Davies)

    RvP, Lukaku, Tevez.

          Knowing that Lampard will in fact start and most of your players should play it may be worth it.

    Baring in mind I am top of my mini-league by 16 points and my midfield consists of Walcott, Felliani, Bale, Toure, Snodgrass.

    What should I do:

    A: Toure ---> Coutinho for -4
    B: Felliani ---> Coutinho for -4
    C: Make no more transfers and so take no hits

      Do you have to play 5 mids? I wouldn't get rid of fellaini that's for sure.

        Im unsure whether to play 5 mids or not...Have Lukaku, RVP and Tevez upfront who would all be hard to bench, especially considering my rivals have them

          If in doubt then no hit would be my advice, I think your front 7 looks pretty good.

            fair enough thanks for the help. but now I have the problem of who to bench out of

            Walcott, Felliani, Bale, Toure, Snodgrass.
            Lukaku, RVP and Tevez

        I can't afford Sissoko to HBA. It's either Michu to HBA or Lukaku to Danny Boi for me

    Michu wasn't even 100% before the injury. Swansea's rejuvenation without him was evidence of this. I'm not sure I'd even want him for Fulham, especially over the likes of Walcott.

      With only two weeks left its worth getting rid this week then getting back for 38 if you want, wouldn't expect much at OT.

      8) Ruddy's return

      Norwich City need something against West Bromwich Albion to allow them to breathe a little more easily and Chris Hughton has decided to recall the goalkeeper John Ruddy to his starting line-up to aid the mission. Ruddy enjoyed the early season, when he made his England debut against Italy and won praise for his form, but everything changed when he ruptured his thigh at Everton on 24 November. The previous week, Manchester United's Paul Scholes had caught him hard on the knee and it it believed that this played a part in weakening the leg. Although Ruddy has been back to fitness since the early part of last month, Hughton has persisted with Mark Bunn. But that is set to change and Ruddy intends to embrace the opportunity, which could also have an international dimension. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2013/may/10/premier-league-fa-cup-ten-things

    Given the improved prognosis for Michu, would it now make sense do ditch Hazard instead on the basis that Michu is at least likely to be fit for GW38 and Hazard looks likely to miss out tomorrow?

        I reckon they could score similar and getting rid of Hazard frees up more cash and allows me to bring in Caz this week instead of Couts.
