There are no brown envelopes in sight; this “bung” is firmly placed in my nasal passages as I clamber from my man-flu grief pit to sit alongside Granville and take my Gameweek medicine. After seeing me off by 21 points, it’s only fair I gave my co-host his moment of glory, regardless of being short of match fitness.

Somehow we end up arguing about Robin van Persie once again, before taking a gander at the bandwagons rolling and preview the weekend’s action the only way we know how: by rambling endlessly and singling out some dubious player picks along the way.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I was thinking Terry because of CL, and Vidic because of his injury history. I have a fairly standard forward line + a Ramsey punt, so need to spend some money on defence... Thanks for the advice though 😀

it's a great backline mate. no 2 ways about it...

Komps to Zaba and Coleman to a 4.5 (and make sure you have Mirallas is your alternative route to the same quality, for cheaper.

              good luck!

id I do Brayford -> Collins I will be left with (after the GW):

    0.1 or 0.2m higher TV
    1 or 2 fewer points
a team of 15 solid starters and an FT for something else next week (international break+end of transfer window = potential essential)

    do I do it?

Coming from the owner of a website set up to help people make fantasy football decisions, Mark's reasoning for having RVP - not having to make a decision on captaincy every week - seems a bit odd!

Why don't we members just stick him in, just sign whoever scored well last week, and save ourselves £12.50 every year? 😉

Planning on becoming a member in the next week too, before I head back to college and waste my money on..other things.
A question from an interested Spurs fan.. does anybody have any idea how good Eriksen is? Watched him play a few times and he ranged from competent to magnificent. Will he be a good signing and/or a good fantast prospect?

He's a very tidy player. Great on the ball and great vision and accuracy from open play as well as set pieces. Don't be surprised if he takes a while to get to his best in England though. I have a feeling he'll struggle with the pace and pressure.

He's spectacular. Two-footed, skilled, got a great shot on him, possibly a little weak under a strong challenge but a really excellent prospect, particularly at 9 million. Quick too, he'll add very nicely to the pace in the Spurs team, restore some they'll lose with Bale's departure. It'll take him a bit of time to adjust to the power and speed of the Premier League but he'll be stunning; he's really good with the ball at his feet like Dembele, except that he's faster than Dembele with a more attacking mentality, if, as I said, weaker and less able to hold off a strong challenge. I'd expect more assists than goals, but he'll likely provide plenty of both.

Lamela for my Fantasy team, but I'll watch Eriksen closely. Unless of course Chelsea steal him...

Vidic is still on the list and might come in later. Johnson already in my team. Prefer Vertonghen to Walker. I was considering Vidic but the Anfield trip is not the best time to introduce him.

That is a good point, but the fact that Rodgers plans to use Sturr as the main central striker is encouraging. I think there could be enough for both as Sturridge is even more selfish as you remember :). Usually good players improve each other, Suarez as a fact creates a lot of rebounds that could end up at Sturridges feet.

Need some advice on what to do with Toure.

    A) Toure -> Collins/Reid (FT)
    OR
    B) Play Ward AND M.Turner (save transfer)

I think I have a better chance of cleanies this week if i do A.
On the other hand, 2FT after deadline day could be an advantage.

Any concrete news about Toure? This is all I could find...

    http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/kolo-toure-injury-fault-says-5800616

Gerrard says "There’s an international break coming up, so fingers crossed he doesn’t miss that many games for Liverpool.

“Sunday is a massive game. Kolo has started the season very strongly and we will be very disappointed if he is not fit for the weekend.”

That sounds vaguely encouraging for us Toure owners... Sit tight or not?
