With leagues across the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports and Sun Dream Team games as well as a link up with PlayON there is plenty of opportunity for our community to get involved across a wide range of competitions.  In our latest Fantasy Football Scout round up, we profile this week’s league leaders.

Fantasy Premier League

A Gameweek 2 score of 55 was enough for Stumanchu to retain top spot in our  Fantasy Premier League (FPL) mini-league. He now has 186 points and climbs to third place overall thanks to his captaincy of Roberto Soldado and eight point hauls from Olivier Giroud and Kolo Toure. Tang Window, who captained Edin Dzeko, takes second place and sits four points behind our leader, while James Martin, who is in third place on 177 points, was another to captain Dzeko last week; he also had Tottenham’s Kyle Walker amongst his other top performers. The code to join our FPL league, which is top of the league of leagues, is 1580-1106.

Ross Gillard, who scored 66 points this week,  is now sitting top of our Fantasy Football Scout Members league in the FPL game. He has a total score of 175 and sits in 130 place overall, with his decision to captain Giroud proving decisive. Sam Gillespie is equal on points with Ross, but lies in second after taking a points hit in Gameweek 2. Third placed James Floyd is close behind on 172 points – James’s leftfield selection of Sunderland’s Emmanuele Giaccherini, who accrued 9 points, proved a smart move.

Last week’s Fantasy Football Scout Contributors and Moderators league leader Mark was among those left disappointed by Robin Van Persie. His resolute allegiance to the Dutchman saw him slump to fifth, with last year’s Contributors league victor and no-RVP advocate Andy moving to joint first alongside Green Windmill. Torres Magic hangs on to his third place with a total score of 144, although Granville is hot on his heels with a score of 139.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

With a total points haul of 269 Josie O’Neil moves from second to first in our Fantasy Football Scout league in the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game. Mary Humberstone moves from third to second with a score of 264 and last week’s league leader Leanne Dean falls to joint third with Nick Whitrid on 260 points. Leanne’s decision to field exclusively Chelsea and Aston Villa players is set to see her either slip further or force her to make several transfers this week. As with last week, we continue to top Sky’s league of leagues.

The winner of our Sky league wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

The Sun Dream Team

Heavy investment in Arsenal and Tottenham helped Lee Walpole secure first place in our Sun Dream Team league. He has nine players from the North London rivals, with Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado’s 28 points  proving vital to his  points tally of 196. Charles Mouzon, who at one point last season was number one in the FPL game, is in second with 188 points thanks to Daniel Sturridge’s 34 points and similar investment in Tottenham’s assets. In third lies Tim Mongiat on 187 points. Tim’s star players include Soldado and Arsenal’s Kieron Gibbs. To join visit  The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

PlayOn £2 Game

In our exclusive Fantasy Football Scout PlayON £2 Game Jamie Boyd claimed first place and winnings of £87 thanks to points hauls from Sturridge, David Silva, Charlie Adam and Ryan Shawcross. Andrew Foskett grabbed second place and winnings of £58, and third-placed Karl Pickard enjoys £34.51 haul. In case you missed them, our PlayON player picks for this weekend can be found right here.

I only had one decision this week, and I made it straight away... Walcott over Silva for the captaincy...

I know it has no logical bearing on my decision, but as I was looking on the BBC Sport website earlier for the goalscorers/assisters of last year's NLD, I came across the Citeh score that same week, cruising to a 5-0 victory over Villa, with Silva getting a goal and 2 assists...

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20278355

Is this a sign that I should change it? Why do you this to me?! 😕 🙂

Capoue has added enormously to Tottenam's defensive stability, Walcott, whose form is debatable, is playing in a severely depleted side against an undefeated opponent whose morale is high thanks to transfer-window euphoria. Silva is on form, playing against a promoted side who just so happen to be the worst out of the three, and City have a chip on their proverbial after the defeat to Cardiff. I choose Silva.

I remember that game, Villa were doing well, then City got a soft penalty I think and Villa a sending off? Basically the game was even before City were given an advantage which they took. Exactly like Arsenal's match, Spurs were on top before the sending off. Then the crowd sensed Arsenal had the momentum, and it all changed. It's either dismal or euphoric at the Emriates because of the crowd's presence. I mean Walcott was being verbally abused by the crowd a few years ago in the same fixture, before he scored two and became the match winner.

I don't have Silva so for me it's between Aguero, Walcott, rvp, and Sturridge for captain..

Right I think that's my mind made up.

Transfer saved. I can use that sooner or later to do a mini tidy up of my team with 3 transfers for -4 to get the likes of Brayford and Kim out if they continue to disappoint.

Don't WC in the international break for GW4 as I won't have had a chance to see how the new signings (if any) fit in.

WC in GW8 international break if necessary, otherwise save the WC for the treat of the inevitable FA Cup DGWs at the end of the season.

I think it's wise to save WC until the second int. break or beyond if possible. Too many new signings and reshuffled teams to get a real sense of value vis a vis other players.

That's the thinking. No use WCing at the end of the transfer window if you haven't actually had any games with (or not, as the case may be eg. Negredo) the new signings.

Will have the mini-WC of a saved transfer as my stopgap option if needs must.

Silva(c) is quite an uninspiring choice. But I've done it anyway. No one else in my ML has Walcott, so simply having him on the team is differential enough.
I'd rather fo with boring captain choices than to have a captain fail. I'm not convinced that the NLD will be as high-scoring as everyone is hoping.

Captaining Dzeko this week is a mighty risk for he may be on the bench. For the other two you can toss a coin or go with your gut feeling or go with the mainstream and pick Silva like I did.

anybody go with Boruc and Foster from the off? I did..
Haven't had any returns yet but big points sitting on the bench..

    Any good rotations with Boruc?
He should be ok this week but I cant be depending on him week in and out..

I could get Mignolet in with the money left over but it would mean 0.0m in the bank after..
i ll have to think about that

It's why I let him go 2 days ago, be great to have him but the rotation headaches even so early on was just not worth it when planning the team, managed to get Aguero in.....somehow.

That's not a reason for it to be deleted in my opinion so I'm curious as to why.

I don't really care what he said. I would like to know what the mods say is the reason.

    who to play?

    migs or boruc?

and also which one to play in my defence (alongside zabaleta and coleman)

    a) bassong (h) (sou)
    b) shaw (a) (nor)
    c) dawson (a) (ars)

I would play Shaw. I think Bassong will start but it's speculative.

I went with Boruc of the two and I always play whichever player I think is the best choice. If it means I'm doubling up, then so be it.
