Our “Flutter” season has not started well. While Edin Dzeko got on the scoresheet last weekend at Cardiff, naïve defending from City at set-pieces cost us some first week winnings and has left us chasing an early loss. Unperturbed by the setback, we’re clutching another tenner and clawing at Paddy Power’s door for another set of Scout Picks-inspired markets.

It’s a low-fat version for this week, with just three bets to tempt our tenner. That’s all good, however, because the odds on show warrant a bigger slice of our stake pie.

For starters, Paddy are offering 6/1 on a Kevin Nolan goal with a West Ham clean sheet at home to Stoke. Given that Nolan should have notched two goals in two games with the header missed at Newcastle last time out, and the fact that the Hammers have only allowed one shot on goal thus far, these odds look more than generous. We’ll snap this up by laying out a fiver of our cash on the West Ham skipper.

That cuts our stake money in half, which is a shame because up next we’ve a Theo Walcott market that also looks somewhat tempting.

Paddy are dangling 8/1 on a Walcott goal with an Arsenal clean sheet in the North London derby with Spurs. Now, while that fixture normally offers an avalanche of goals, we’re half expecting Spurs to be more cagey this time around, rolling out a disciplined 4-3-3 and perhaps leaving Roberto Soldado a little isolated up top. A narrow Gunners win could be on the cards and there’s no doubt that Walcott, along with Olivier Giroud, is the key Gunners threat on show. We’ll put £2 of our remaining funds on this one, leaving the rest for our final market.

That falls to David Silva. A hugely popular Fantasy pick going into the Gameweek, the smart money is on City inflicting some heavy damage on Steve Bruce’s Hull outfit at the Etihad, with Silva cast in the role of chief architect. With a goal and assist already chalked up in the opening pair of fixtures, the little Spaniard has form going into Saturday’s clash and Paddy have him priced at 13/5 for a goal with a City clean sheet against the Tigers. That’s enough to prise the final £3 from our mitts.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, then you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Ready to go?

    Boruc (mig)
    Kolo Coleman ward (walker, Chester)
Silva [c], snodgrass, Barkley, Walcott (Kim)
    Rvp, lambert, Soldado

Any changes? Kolo not playing would bring Walker on.

Have any of you got through Saturday without looking at the scores and watched MOTD that night?

Doesn't it have a name on here?

Managed it both weeks so far, makes MOTD so much better to watch!

Think Toure won't start then you're down to 10, so I'd use the free transfer to get Collins or Nasty if funds allow.

Yes, he's an option but I don't like choosing captains playing away from home. West Brom rarely concede more than the odd goal at home, although Myhill should be interesting. Could be inspired!

currently captaining dzeko(more explosive) if negredo starts think he'll play full 90 with city winning comfortably so vc will go to silva its a win win situation 🙂

Speaking as a Dzeko owner, I hope that Negredo starts for my Silva(c) chances.

Hull at home is a perfect fixture to ease him into the Premier League, or so you would think!

Yeah, but if you look at it this way : Paulinho is very close to starting to bang a few goals and a derby could be the perfect stage for it

Snodgrass has been injured, and against southampton its not going to be such a goalfest. Would actually expect southampton to edge it 0-1

    Hey guys
Would you take a hit (-4) to field 11 players? 3.1 left

    Boruc
    Zaba, Coleman, Garrido,
    Mirallas, Nolan, Gerrard, Wally
    Soldy, Anelka

Bn > Benteke, Tiote, CAshley n Baker

I was thinking in Benteke > Aguero, but I'm not convinced to lose Benteke.
So maybe a mid/long term transfers
    for my 5th mid(Tiote > JWP/Witthingham) or
    5th def(Baker > Chester).
