With just a single assist to show for his endeavours over the first three Gameweeks, Fantasy faith in Michu took a dent ahead of last Monday’s home clash with Liverpool. The Swansea midfielder shed almost 66,000 owners in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game and suffered a drop in price due to his lack of attacking returns but after opening his account against the Reds, he’s back on many a radar as Michael Laudrup’s side prepare for a kind upcoming run of fixtures.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

      Controversial views incoming... Sort of.

      Sturridge out Giroud in
      Ozil out Walcott in.

Bare in mind sturridge will be competing with suarez for a space in the next week or so. If he looks good with suarez by all means get him in but last year I got him in pre suarez return and it cost me a lot of points.

If Ozil to Walcott allows sturridge to rooney then this would be a good move also...

I took Walcott out of my wildcard team lol

Suarez won't play CF. CAM until Couts is back then Luis is on the wing. However, our front 4 interchange a lot. Sturridge predominantly CF.

Cowie not nailed once Bellamy is back. Talk of Wilson dropping now Palacios is fit

I'd sell Ozil for Theo, Cowie for another 4.5 and maybe ship Wilson for Cameron?

    Evening guys.
Just asking a non-football question after venturing from the farm into my local town.
I've noticed an awful increase in young males, who walk around dressed in scruffy clothing and drinking cans of Monster - hanging out with girls dressed in dark, eccentric attire.
They all stand around and don't seem to say much, just hug each other as a greeting and then awkwardly huddle around a tree - sipping on their can of Monster, seemingly afraid of conversation.
Does this happen anywhere else? I'm not sure if I want to be a part of a world inhabited by these creatures..

I think that depends if you think Baines taking pens and free kicks will get enough extra points to justify 2 mil extra funds. I haven't really answered your question but IMO i would go with Coleman. In fact i have had him from pre season.

Hello people, I've been agonizing over my captain choices - Walcott, Michu and Benteke all in the frame.

Last season Walcott got 1 assist in 90mins in a 1-0 against Stoke at home, if that's anything to go by. We're dealing with two slightly different beasts now of course, both teams having strengthened...I wouldn't like to predict the score this time around but beginning to feel a little cautious over the Walcott option.

I think I'll go with Michu, but mainly because I seem to have Agbonlahor installed upfront alongside Benteke - so a captain fail there would be more damaging.

My shortlist is those 3 as well.

My gut feeling says benteke tbh and it usually works for me.

The article above would suggest captaining Michu might not be the best idea

I agree, don't see a lot of goals at Emirates as Stoke seem to still to be tough defensively... I'm currently on Benteke (c) but that may change by the weekend...

Thanks chaps. I can't read the article but Benteke does seem a good failsafe option. Just wish I hadn't doubled up on Villa up top. Oh, and I voted for Wally in the captain's poll lol - so pretty undecided 😉

I know it's silly but I'm desperate to take an 8-point hit. Someone talk me out of it!

Mirallas > Ben Arfa (already done)
    Coutinho > Moses
    Lambert > Giroud

    Would leave me with...

    Boruc
    Coleman Collins Toure (Chester Baker)
    Moses Walcott Barfa Morrison (Brady)
    RVP Giroud(C) Benteke

    Thoughts?

''Speaking of which, that moment could come sooner than Wenger would hope, and perhaps even as early as Sunday's clash against Stoke at the Emirates. Giroud looked out of sorts - out of recent sorts, anyway - in Marseille but was left on for the full 90 minutes, presumably owing to his defensive work and the absence of a replacement on the bench. Wenger confessed that the striker has been struggling with a knee problem after last week's win at Sunderland, and it may be wise to rest him on Sunday to avoid exacerbating the concern. ''

Really good article, thanks Paul. Encouraging for Michu owners / suitors as well. I'd expect him to get close to 15 league goals but importantly we should see an improvement on the 3 assists he made all of last season.

Chelsea have a hugely enticing fixture but they are looking out of sorts at the moment.

It's a big risk but if they click against Fulham it could be a masterstroke

Haven't been paying much attention these first few weeks, started off alright, and now my team is absolutely woeful.

    Mignolet, Harper
    Terry, Coleman, Collins, Ward, Chester
    Lampard, Coutinho, Walcott, Mirallas, Kim
    Soldado, Giroud, Benteke

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Your defence and strike force will be fine. I would concentrate on your mid for this week. Lampard, Coutinho, Mirallas and Kim are all problems IMO. I would Bring in Michu and Moses/Ramsey for 2 of these.

Kaboul has just come back from a bad injury and Chiriches still hasn't received his work permit so as it stands he is very much nailed on. Plus he is club captain.
