With leagues across Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports and Sun Dream Team there is plenty to catch up on following the international break. We look at those who have excelled during Gameweek 5 and those who are a little richer after having a great week in our PlayON game.

Fantasy Premier League

We have a new entry straight in at top spot in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game. Hemant Gosavi racked up 57 points last weekend, with Chelsea duo Oscar and John Terry both returning double-figure hauls, while Swansea’s Ben Davies and Arsenal’s in-form Aaron Ramsey also produced as Hemant clinched fifth spot in the overall standings, with 378 points so far.

Tarik Alibou sits in second after a Gameweek 5 score of 59. Seven of his players scored five points or more, with Yaya Toure, Per Mertesacker, Ross Barkley and Davies his chief protagonists. Stuart Hartley slips to third despite double-figure hauls from both Michu and Mesut Ozil in midfield, Ed C rockets into fourth in the Scout league after an incredible 82 points last weekend and Hafisi Nazir completes the top five, sitting on 359 points overall. Thanks to the efforts of our featured managers, Fantasy Football Scout remains at the top of the best leagues – the code to join is 1580-1106.

Wasana Busby moves to the top of the Fantasy Football Scout Members league with an overall score of 340 – Barkley, Toure, Terry and Jan Vertonghen all delivered last weekend. Corey Silveira slips to second after a 40-point haul in Gameweek 5, while Ivan Heneghan is a new entry in third spot – Per Mertesacker and Michu were his main performers from the previous weekend’s action.

In the Contributors and Moderators league, Andy is back at the top, with his faith in big-money defenders Vertonghen and Leighton Baines proving a wise decision. Big Dunc moves into second after playing his wildcard – the decision to captain Ozil harvested 28 of his 65 points in Gameweek 5.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Nick Whitrid remains in pole position in our Sky Sports league. Having reached the summit last week, he has now moved 22 points ahead of second-placed Leo Reid on 435 points; Nick in joint-sixteenth in the overall standings. In third place in the Scout league is Josie O’Neil, who is four points off Leo on 409 points. The winner of our Sky league, which is top of the league of leagues, wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

The Sun Dream Team

Lee Walpole remains at the top of our Sun Dream Team with a score of 431 points – his ploy to load up on six Spurs and three Arsenal players has certainly proven the correct tactic so far. Paul Williams is back in second on 397 points – all 11 of his players are from Tottenham – while John David Nicol takes third spot, with all but two of his players representing the north London duo. To join visit The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

PlayON

Chris Robinson was the winner of PlayON’s £1,000 guaranteed game last weekend. He picked up a haul of £300 thanks to his decision to load up on three of Chelsea’s backline and Leighton Baines, while Stephane Sessegnon, Bacary Sagna and Yohan Cabaye – all highlighted in our picks article last week – ensured Chris was in the money. Tony Biswas earned second spot and a cash prize of £200, while Lionel Payne’s third place finish resulted in a £119 pay-out.

In our exclusive Fantasy Football Scout PlayON £2 game a total of £114 was on the table. Chris Robinson cleaned up here, too, earning £39.74, while Paul Thornden (£26.64) and Jason Turner (£20.16) took second and third spot respectively.

If ManU get a freekick after RvP (or whoever Rooney plays behind in a given game) has been taken off Rooney is a good pick.

If Liverpool's opposition avoid using honey scented lotion or dressing up as sausages Suarez is a good pick.

Can anyone else afford this team?

    Mignolet • Lewis
    Baines • Terry • Dawson • Wilson • Turner
    Ozil • Michu • Eriksen • Barkley • Morrison
    Rooney • Suarez • Giroud

    Formations:
    • 4-3-3
    • 3-4-3

    Form Players:
    • Ozil
    • Giroud
    • Baines
    • Michu
    • Rooney

    Coverage From Big Teams:
    • Man U
    • Liverpool
    • Spurs
    • Arsenal
    • Everton(?)

The team can rotate well playing different formations. There are players from all the strongest team, bar Man City. They have too much rotation for my liking. Good strong subs every week.

Shall I start saving now? Can almost afford it with minimal hits for GW7...

OK. I just tried it. I got 103.5 mill. Im 4 mill short after i tried to build it. so you would need 107.5 mill to build it. Not even vaguely affordable for anyone.
          Anyway, thats what i got.

That's buying the players from scratch. Most have risen considerably. I have most of these already and have done since the start. Barkley is an example of a player who is far more expensive now. Giroud too. The pair have risen 1.4M alone. That's already -1.4 if you had them for a while. Ozil has rise.4, Eriksen.2, taking it to 2M. It goes on and on.

The only place I see is defence. Forwards are too rotation prone. Midfield is a bit iffy, yes Yaya has banged in some free kicks, big deal. Maybe the following:

        Baines>Coleman
        Dawson>Nastasic

My point is that he is a defensive midfielder. He wont be getting all the goals, they will be shared. Baines is a luxury defender, he scores lots of FKs, and gets lots of points for doing so. He is known for it and will continue to do so. I don't rate Yaya fantasy wise, nor do many on here, and 9.1M is very steep. Rooney will consistently get goals, in play and from set pieces.

If he got at least a goal from open play this GW, coupled with a good performance, standing out compared to his midfield teammates I would begin to look into the Ivorian.

Really? Terry at 6.0M, Chelsea are sold it the back, good going forward and BAP magnet. Had him since the start and will keep. Dawson is a great pick whilst he keeps his spot, the manager likes him and he is the captain. Spurs have 4 CSs in 5 games. Cant argue with the facts. Its a strong defence. Wilson is a great sub too. Stoke are strong at the back, and he is only 4.5M and OOP.

I think its safe to say we all need/have/want cover from Liverpool one way or another. Most have Mignolet, others have Sturridge or Suarez and a few have Moses. Many will get Coutinho when he returns. If you did a RMT with no Liverpool cover it would get pointed out.

      Yes.

Arnautovic is a punt. We don't even know if he'll play.
Lampard has been avoiding gametime like the plague.
And I don't fancy Rooney to do anything unless the ball is dead still and his strike partner has been taken off.

Oh and I'm unconvinced about Newc defence.

Not that it's a bad team. Each of them can score decently. And all we can do is guess at who might.

could happen for sure and likely that he improves the players around him so the former will get a few more. I just would not be surprised if arsenal slow down a bit and wondering how he and Caz will mesh.

The title isn't won when you're playing well, Arsenal had good games in the last years and when they are at their best they can beat anyone. The title is won on games when you're playing bad, United for example can still pull out a 1-0 from the hat, but Arsenal can end up like they did v Villa. With the top 4 all getting new managers who don't look quite convincing yet and Özil really is a world class player to join them, it will really come down to the fact if they can win ugly this year or not.
